We felt comfortable allowing our children (ages 11 and 8) to walk around the park and return to our bungalow on their own because the area felt safe and well-managed. We especially appreciated having a dedicated host assigned to us. Rylan did an excellent job throughout the day. He was communicative, professional, friendly, and genuinely concerned about ensuring we had a positive experience. His efforts did not go unnoticed. Overall, we can see that the park has made adjustments to better meet guests' needs. For example, the use of QR codes and digital ordering options made food purchases more convenient. One improvement we would love to see in the future is the automatic application of seasonal passholder discounts when guests are signed in and ordering through the QR code system. Since our account information is already connected, this would make the process more seamless. We did encounter an issue with the food. We ordered several pizzas for our group, and unfortunately they arrived undercooked and doughy. As a result, much of the pizza went to waste, and we had to order additional food. We shared this concern with a member of the management team, who was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, I do not recall his name, as I do not believe he was wearing a name tag. The pool area was very well managed. We felt our children were safe, and there appeared to be an adequate number of staff members actively monitoring the swimming areas. We appreciate the attention given to guest safety. We do believe a dress code should be enforced to better align with the family-oriented environment of the establishment. Overall, we had a great time and appreciate the efforts being made to enhance the guest experience. We look forward to returning in the future.

I may be a little biased because I spent many summers in this pool growing up but I think its a wonderful place :D I have had birthday parties there, brought lots of friends, and of course time with family. They used to host little events like movie nights, BBQs, 4th of July parties, but of course with the pandemic those stopped and it may take some time for events to return. They worked efficiently and minimized the mess associated with such extensive concrete/plaster removal, cleaning up the deck area and existing hardscape daily. Pool rust issues, which proved to be more extensive than appeared when the job was bid, were mitigated thoroughly with no additional charges. It initially appeared that there were two rust areas but four were uncovered as plaster removal proceeded. Ernesto Vega, project manager, was really great to work with and quickly responded to our concerns as they arose (phone or text to him works fastest!). Aqua Blue Pools were very competitive with the other four bids we received, although a big factor in selecting them was that they had just completed our neighbor's pool and they are really happy with the results (pool looks beautiful). The whole job took only 2 1/2 weeks even though work stopped 4 days for the Thanksgiving holiday. We are only three days into the startup process to establish the correct water chemistry and the pool, which looked great once Aqua Blue finished the job, is looking even better each day as the water color becomes more correct. BTW, be aware that the water out of the tap looks really odd when first added to the pool, like green swamp water in our location, until the chemical startup is complete (about one or two weeks) and the water chemistry is correct.

I noticed a pile of dirty towels sitting out. The women's locker room was okay, nothing dirty, but it felt a little dated and could use a refresh. A lot of the ladies were chatting, and it reminded me of a middle school locker room. The MixxedFit class itself, though, was amazing. The energy in the room was great and everyone seemed genuinely excited to be there. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. I'll definitely come back for another MixxedFit class with Javier.

In addition to the lack of air conditioning, the water fountains are frequently out of service, the bathrooms are unsanitary, and the overall cleanliness of the facility has noticeably declined. It feels like this location is simply a cash cow for Bay Club's corporate office. They continue to raise membership prices every year while neglecting maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service. This location sees far more traffic than many of their other clubs, yet it receives far less attention. If you're considering joining as a new member, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Until Bay Club invests in properly maintaining this facility and providing the level of service members are paying for, it's simply not worth the cost. Many of the members at this location are from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and it's deeply frustrating to see this club receive far less attention than locations like Pleasanton or Walnut Creek. Intentional as it seems the disparity in maintenance and investment is hard to ignore, and members at this location deserve the same safe, clean, and well-maintained facility as every other Bay Club member. I will also be contacting the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health to report these ongoing health and sanitation concerns.

Mattias was great in helping us find the perfect instructor that worked well with each child. We highly recommend Edward and Taylor. My daughter was afraid of the water initially but Edward managed to help her overcome that fear. She is now able to swim and has leveled up multiple times. Taylor teaches my son excellent techniques. Her style of teaching is informative and structured. She is by far one of the best instructors we have worked with since we started with Safesplash. My 5 year old barely knows freestyle and no other strokes. I just got the notice that he has achieved a Beginner Safety Skill 'Tread water 5 sec, ret to wall, climb out'. My opinion starts here: Really, that is what you spend the 30 minute session with another learner, so 15 minutes actually; to practice AND test? Final painful learning: You can't trust them to actually teach your child to swim. I told them this is the last quarter we are with them because I am putting him in swim team in the summer. Apparently, swim team only need 2 strokes and to scale a regulation pool. I thought the response was going to be ok, let's work on the endurance, because, you know, I still trusted that my kid was going to be a foundationally trained swimmer as I have been very trusting and patient with their 'method'. The response after the class was 'I see that our instructor is not giving feedback, that is how they usually accelerate. I told them to give feedback.' Planning to file a formal complaint.

We have been coming weekly to this location, and it has seriously become a second home to us with a large extended family! Over the years we have had many amazing swim instructors including Ms. Marissa, Ms. Angelina, Ms. Karyn, Ms. Rachel, Ms. Corey, and countless wonderful others who have helped my little learn to swim across the pool in all four strokes before age 5. Every time we walk in the door my little is greeted by the front desk and office staff by name and it makes us feel so welcomed. The facility is always clean and organized (thanks Jan and team!). Each staff member working knows my child's level and how to help her improve her swim strokes. I also appreciate how the staff is very organized and everyone has a clear job that gets done in the pool, outside of the pool, and around the building. As a parent, I am so thankful for this large group of trusted adults that have not only taught my little how to swim, but have created amazing memories for her (like singing Taylor Swift at the top of their lungs and having us participate in a promotional photo shoot) and given her a wide net of trusted adults that she feels comfortable with and learns from.
