Now many members of my family including siblings go to Dr Mason too! They are all just as happy as I am with her professionalism. expertise, great recommendations and great care! I would recommend Dr. Lora to anyone. My children and husband are also long time patients. I have known all of her employees and hygienists for the past 20+ years. The environment is professional, attentive, kind and family owned. Dr. Lora and Lisa make everyone feel valued and cared for. I had to phone Dr. Lora on vacation after my young son had a dental emergency. She answered late at night and spoke to my son and calmed us both down. Dr. Lora Mason is the most talented, caring and compassionate dentist I have ever experienced and I am almost 70. There is no other dentist I would ever see. In addition to be a skilled and professional dentist I would also add that she is an exceptional artist as a dentist. I am one of those weird people who like going to the dentist. I had a dentist in Nevada but they kept making changes and I wasn't too thrilled with their upsell. I heard about Dr. Mason who is in a building near a relative's office, and decided to make an appointment while home to prep for my wedding. First thing - the office is cool! It is nicely decorated, really neat and funky. Second - when I walked in, I was greeted by the Doctor herself! That never happens! The staff was great - Lisa at the front and Crystal doing x-rays. Dr. Mason did my cleaning herself. Everyone was so personable and it made the experience easy. I was in and out in an hour plus the short time for paperwork. I don't have insurance but the price was reasonable and I also got the home teeth bleach kit to use with bleach trays I already own for only $50. Dr. Mason told me to call her after Memorial Day to let her know how the bleaching is going. She offered to come in on the weekend if I am ever in from Vegas and need to see her. I highly recommend this dental office - it is night and day from the service and treatment I have had with other dentists. read more

I want to follow up with the message received from this dental office in response to my initial review. My thorough response was apparently too long: My maiden name is Magee and my "real identity" is Laura Magee Ziemianski. I asked your office to address me as Maggie. Everything I said was true and I was as polite as I could possibly be in my review. My review came after I explained my visits with you with my current dentist and by NO means should I have endured the pain I experienced NOR should I have been ignored when I called your office about discomfort. Your office took my insurance info before my first visit and there was no issue until you gave me the entire bill on departure. You said submit my bill to my insurance company and that they would reimburse me. They said you weren't in network and that your RATES were not approved and too high. I explained this to your after I spoke to them. Again, your front desk said insurance companies can be cheap and they don't realistically price out what dental work should be. I'm happy to keep this convo going on this open forum. But hands down, THE WORST experience and pain. I tried calling you and both times I was dismissed. Your family has not only given excuses they never followed up with me after expressing discomfort the first time around. No fault of my own. I hope my identity reveal allows ppl on yelp to make the right choice :-) UPDATE: After they "found my file" rather than call me they sent me a text msg. Below you will see what they sent followed by my response. "Good afternoon. You have a very incorrect opinion of us. We do accept insurance. We submitted your claim to your insurance. The payment was sent to you TWICE. Unfortunately, you have very poor insurance. We DO have an assistant and she was here both times that you were in. We never brushed you off. You were refusing to wear your bitesplint and you were grinding your teeth down very badly. Dr. Mason replaced the filling at no charge, then we never heard from you again. Delta Dental of Pennsylvania pays the patient. Only Delta of Texas pays the dentist. I called your insurance and was told that you received and have cashed the small amount that your insurance paid. Unfortunately, you found it fun to post so many negative things about this practice that has been operating smoothly since 1963. Go for it. We can take it." Me: I will be posting this response. Dr. Mason never ceases to AMAZE me!!!! Yesterday at 5:00 my crown fell out I text her and sent pictures of my crown and the hole from my crown falling out !!! I was so scared after looking at the picture that I had an infection. She got me in first thing today and reassured me I didn't have an infection, just an old crown that needed to be replaced!!! Thank goodness . I will never go to another dentist as long as Dr. Lora Mason is around !!! I cannot praise her enough!!! The whole staff is wonderful and her sister Lisa is great !!! Stay away from this place. Before my daughters first cleaning appointments I called to verify that they took our insurance. They said yes, but conveniently left out that they were out of network. Didn't find that out until afterwards when I got a bill for over $500. Apparently when you're out of network you can price gouge your patients and leave them with a ridiculous bill. Even though I've never paid for a cleaning at any other dentist in my life. First and last time going there. read more

My whole family has been going to see Dr. Lora and her staff since before I was born! We absolutely love them and consider them part of our family. They always treat us with care and respect. I recently moved to the DFW area, and panicked when I realized I would have to find a new dentist that was not Dr. Lora! I love getting to come back and visit the office when I am in town. Even being out of town, I was having a problem and needed a dentist's perspective, and Dr. Lora called me herself that day to share her insight! We found Dr. Lora Mason's office when we moved to Houston several years back. They have a nice office in Bellaire (with nice views to look at while you're in the dentist's chair), a nice staff, and Dr. Lora herself is great. For the first few years our appointments were routine check ups and cleanings. Dr. Lora was involved in these personally herself each time. Recently I had to get a crown for one of my teeth. From the diagnosis, to the explanation to me in terms I could understand, to the first appointment to put on the temporary crown to the final appointment to put on the permanent crown - Dr. Lora and staff were great. Never a fun process, but they made sure I was comfortable, knew what was going on each step of the way, and the final product was very good. I have full trust in this office and plan to remain with them as long as I'm in Houston. read more

I sent my 20-year-old daughter to Dr. Lora for a crown today. Another dentist hadn't been able to get her gums deadened for the same procedure -- everything he tried to do hurt. Dr. Lora took care of her perfectly and, to Miranda's delight, let her watch a Netflix video about lions while she worked. We're very happy. read more

Doctor Mason and her staff is the best, I have being coming to the practice for several years now, as soon as you put a foot in to the door you are welcome by this super sweet and beautiful old lady that I believe is Dr Mason's mother and then there is the office manager I believe her name is Lisa who is Dr Mason's twin sister, their energy is incredible!!, there is also Lynn and Krystal who are incredible as well they make you feel at home immediately. They are extremely professional, they explain you every procedure that you might need in a simple language, they contact your insurance for you, since dental coverage with insurance is not always the best. With than being said I have no idea what that lady Maggie M. is talking about, perhaps she her self was having a very rough day. I highly recommend Dr Mason she is the best in town. read more

Dr. Mason is the best dentist we've ever been to easily. I went to a couple who told me I needed tons of work done, though I had no pain or problems in my mouth. One told me that they couldn't even clean my teeth without doing the deep cleaning ($$$). That's what you get with GroupOn! Dr. Mason was recommended to my family and we would go to her strictly forever, but we moved from Houston. She's honest, super knowledgeable and has a perfect office & staff. This office really is the perfect combination of high class with low maintenance/no bs. Sure hope we're able to find someone half as good as her! read more
