First time here. Clean. Personable. Nice vibe. None of the words I would use to describe a dental office but...they ain't them. This place was so nice. You walk in and it feels warm. The ladies at the front desk were nice. My original appt was for 1pm but I called and Victor was able to get me in at 10 due to a cancellation. Keyona did my X-rays and was so nice and thorough, explaining everything and was so gentle. She had to keep putting that plastic piece in my mouth so I could bite down and she could capture the picture. This was the first time my mouth wasn't aggravated after that. Just her being thorough and taking her time. Dr. Batiste came in after and was everything! Very personable, impeccable chair side manner. Explained everything walked me through all my pictures and was very attentive. I never felt rushed. Jarell did my cleaning and was just as thorough. My teeth clean, clean . You can tell they run a tight ship and care about your teeth here. Now, the decor was everything! When you walk back to be serviced, you walk through glass doors and if not for the cleanings happening in each room, you almost forget its a dental office. The black and gold decor along with the black art on the walls just adds such a nice touch. After you pay, you go out a separate door which is right next to the front door. I wasn't expecting anything but really got a great experience. Also there's a tv jn front of you as you sit in the chair AND one above so you can watch tv as you're leaned back getting work done. I'm not sure why modern medicine, and dr. Appt visits are not this thorough. The devices and xray machines were so technologically advanced and quick! All appointments really should feel like this! The check-in process was clear and straightforward, and the upbeat playlist flowing through the space--Drake, SZA, Summer Walker--set the perfect relaxed, inviting vibe. My dental assistant was friendly and reassuring as he took my X-rays, making sure I felt at ease. Soon after, Erica, the Dental Hygienist, arrived to complete my cleaning. What I appreciated most was her thorough explanations of every step, including how long each part of the process would take. Most importantly, she made sure I was aware of the anticipated cost of my treatment plan before moving forward--no surprise fees at checkout. The dentist (whose name I do not recall and isn't listed in any of my email confirmations I received prior to the appointment) stepped in briefly to check on my concerns and mentioned providing an orthodontist referral, though I forgot to grab the details before leaving. Although I have been a patient with this firm for decades, I am treated as a profit center rather than as a person. Every time I go for appointments, I am seen by a different technician or doctor. I feel like a cog in their machine. On my last visit I was scolded by a dentist, "You sure have a lot of crowns. You better floss those daily." A. I already do so. B. The crowns were dental procedures I received at your office. C. Would it be better if I had no teeth? The firm has lots of policies to convenience THEM: Pay before you receive treatment. The owner of the firm doesn't return calls. I recently called for an appointment because of a chipped tooth, a problem that the office had previously treated and had reoccurred. I explained my needs to the office staff and asked for a morning appointment as soon as possible. I was given an appointment in a couple of days, but the day before it was to occur it was cancelled by them without explanation. When I called to find out why, the office staff told me that they had made a mistake. "The doctor only does exams at that appointment time, and you need a filling." MY MISTAKE: I thought the DENTIST, NOT THE RECEPTIONIST would examine me and determine what procedure was required?? I was then offered an afternoon appointment (Did they not pay attention to my request for a morning appointment?) When I complained about this, I was told it would be more than a week before I could see someone in the morning. She then referred to me as "Dear". I am not her "Dear", nor do I want to be spoken to in a patronizing manner. I am going to look for another provider. read more

They charged my insurance a scan of both jaws and told me they wouldn't charge my insurance as they only needed X-rays. They did charge my insurance over $600 because I didn't do business with them. The bigger issue is they applied to several lenders to see what my "finance options" would be. "Their" lenders were offering 15% up to 30% APR. not 1 time did they ask my credit score. When I told them my score was close to 800. Why would I need "their" lenders? The ladies jaw dropped. I walked out immediately. They blew my phone up for weeks until I had to block every # they called from. These people pray on old people and people with bad credit STAY AWAY!!! I stand behind this review 1million %. If I could give negative STARS I would. I'm sure there are plenty of people that have been prayed upon by this scammers. I should have turned around and walked out when I walked in. The place was hot as hell. They charge all this money and can't turn on the A/C???? They have a very nice commercial promising the world. Don't fall for it. read more

It had been a while since I'd been to the dentist so I was a little nervous but that nervousness soon went away when 1) I heard them playing music that I typically listen too and 2) when every person I encountered made me feel welcome and normal. It was never awkward with anyone, everyone was very personal able and talkative. I was 4 months pregnant at the time and they were very considerate and safe with me and that I appreciated. I made an appointment w/ Elite Dental Wellness a month ago for a cleaning. Prior to making this appt. I called my insurance to verify my plan and coverage (a PPO plan) and confirmed that the dentist they gave me was under this plan they assured me they were. I called this dentist the same day, gave them ALL my infomation, insurance ID #, group # & phone number. They told me yes they accept my plan. I made sure I had correct info from previous dentist to transfer my reords as my appt was scheduled for 7/31/2023. This office waited until this afternoon (4 wks later) to tell me they just checked my benefits and was told I have a HMO and they don't accept the HMO from my plan. I asked who I was speaking to, I believe she said Shaniqua. I asked to speak to the office mgr, this woman said she is the office mgr. I told her the information she gave me is incorrect. I've always had a PPO Dental plan. I asked who she spoke with, Shaniqua couldn't remember, but suggested I call my insurance. I did, my insurance quickly verified I have a PPO plan as they did before. My insurance called Elite Dental Wellmess (while I was on the phone holding) gave them the information to confirm my PPO. I called Elite dental back asked for the office mgr I spoke to, they left me on hold more than 10 min as I'm driving. Person ame back 11 mins later asking if I knew name of mgr. now all of a sudden they don't know who their office mgr is. I hung up, called back finally got the same person and informed her I verified with my insurance I'm covered under tbe PPO. This so called "office mgr" seemed confused. I asked her to confirm while I'm on hold who my insurance spoke with, she couldn't or wouldn't do that either! Rather than confirming or giving me a reference # of the petson she spoke with, she put me through to someone out of the USA, who said they are not allowed to talk to customers. ALL I CAN SAY IS DEALING W/ "ELITE DENTAL WELLNESS" WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES WITH A MEDICAL OFFICE? SO INCOMPETENT!! Unprofessional. Went for a consult, talked everything through. Followed doctor Batiste's advice to go see someone about my wisdom teeth prior to starting treatment. During that referral, that specialist let me know that Dr. Batiste misdiagnosed me on one of my measurements by a long shot and gave my incorrect guidance on a matter. I took my time to process this, deciding if I wanted to proceed with treatment. During this time, her assistant calls me to see if I'm proceeding with treatment or have questions. I let her know the above. She says let me let doctor know and get back to you. Calls me back to tell me doctor has decided to not take my case. I ask why, she gives no reason. How do you call to ask if I'm proceeding then pivot minutes later? Assistants initial response to that question was that doctor said it was bc I didn't agree with her diagnosis.....agree? I simply let you know what the person you referred me to said! 12 days after my follow up email to the Dr, her assistant finally calls with a "reason" being that my treatment time is longer than the length of time the doctor will be practicing orthodontics....huh? You took two weeks and still only came up with that crap excuse? Doctor never reached out personally or replied to email. Unprofessional and clearly uninformed. Don't waste your time like I did mine! Mind you - after my consultation I needed a signed letter from the doctor detailing my case and need for treatment, and several other documents which the dentist secured for me....just to change her mind bc her ego was bruised that she misdiagnosed me and the specialist she sent me to and so called highly respects admitted that she was wrong. I hate I even have to leave one star. Also should add that in her effort to cover up her incompetence she kept naming reasons that clearly showed she didn't pay attention to my case, just another patient. like "oh you should see an ortho" even tho she knew I came to her from an orthodontic referral. We spent my entire consult discussing why I didn't want to do ortho and Dr Batiste agreed it wasn't called for! So confusing, so disrespectful so impersonal. Sad sad sad. read more

Really loved Dr. Batiste and her super friendly staff! The office is clean, welcoming and they've even got large flatscreens mounted in front of every dental chair to watch during your exam. After going to the same dentist in Sugar Land for nearly a decade, I decided to give Elite Dental Wellness a try since it's closer to my side of town. In comparison to my old dentist, Dr. Batiste is pretty aggressive with her dental recommendations. After reviewing my X-rays, she told me I needed quite an extensive amount of work. She even took me to a private room to break down everything. It was a bit shocking to me considering I keep up with my routine cleanings. She was very accommodating and willing to compare X-rays. I ultimately went back to my old dentist (who did agree with 2 of her recommendations). I don't think Dr. Batiste was trying to get over on me; I just think her dentistry style is to strive for the perfect mouth. If you're looking for a dentist that will be a bit more transparent in prioritizing URGENT dental work vs "eh, let's watch this for a year or so before we put a crown on it", this practice may not be the right fit. I opted not to return because I prefer a more conservative dentist. However, I have no doubts Dr. Batiste takes great care of all her patients! read more

I visited 2 weeks ago for a routine cleaning that was both efficient and informative in regards to continuing care.
