We had to go to an appointment near Grand Rapids today. So my hubby wanted to stop by this bakery that was recently voted #1 Bakery in Michigan. Can I have anything... No ... Yeah I'm crying. But I ordered everything I would if I could. And my hubby tried everything. Do I think you should go out of your way Yes! Especially now when we have nothing to do but drive these days. Everything was freshly baked different unique flavors. We ordered one of everything basically. Got into the car my hubby tried a little bite of everything and then we actually went back in to get more of things so that we could share them with other people. They had a Malple Toasted Coconut Cinnamon Roll... I tasted the frosting it was delicious. The texture was super soft by feel. He loves them. We also got a four pack of regular cinnamon rolls which we haven't tried yet. They had a homemade oatmeal sandwich cookie that was pretty good, but not the best ever. Homemade nutter butter cookies. The frosting inside was a little sugary, I tasted that, but other than that he said it was a great mixture between crunchy and soft. They have a cappuccino donut... I tasted the frosting and the filling Oh my God... If I could eat them we would have ordered a dozen. And he agrees. The apple fritters... Amazing. We haven't tried the turnovers yet. They have Apple, blueberry, raspberry, and cherry And the scones looked amazing although we didn't actually get one. The baker really seem to know his stuff. As someone who cooks all the time and goes to restaurants and likes to try new restaurants and see what other people are doing I really appreciate the fact that he also does the same. He goes places, he tries things and it gives him new perspective. And it shows that he really is into perfecting his craft. Bottom line if you're in the area you should go. If you're not in the area and you have nothing else to do you should probably still go! Everything is great and fresh and they are super friendly and helpful As with everything there's always a con. My only complaint would be that the baker wasn't wearing a mask but maybe where they are, you might not need to. I don't know what the numbers are there. read more

Great coffee and pastries over all a great experience for a small town and that home town in the Midwest look and feel

As a local we have always known about this hidden gem of a donut shop. Now all of Michigan knows that it was voted best donut shop in Michigan. Even during COVID they were serving through the window with a line down the sidewalk. It's always busy and the donuts are always fresh! I do wish they would offer more gluten free options than the small cookies and muffin. Get there early on a Saturday and load up for the weekend! read more

I didnt think he pumpkin cake donut hole was anything to write home about. Also if you are covid sensitive be advised you're in small-town u.s.a. there are exposed signs but its not enforced. Also, the employees do not wear masks. So if you care about that then I would wait until you feel comfortable going there. But really the donuts are THAT good. read more

We drove up from Vicksburg, Mi. About 40 miles, as I had seen this place featured on Facebook. We were not disappointed. We arrived about 45 min. before they closed, but found their selection of sweet rolls and bread to be quite well for the end of a Saturday. We bought 6 donuts in different flavors and some hamburger buns. When we got home later that day we all tried our treats and all agreed, they were delicious. I came in one day and picked up 5 dozen without calling ahead and they had the order filled and me out the door in less than 10 minutes. I often forget this place exists. First time staying in the quaint little town of Lake Odessa. I'm loving it here and this spot is part of the reason. They are so friendly! Sadly, it seems like there are a lot of disgruntled employees in the food and beverage industry during Covid, but not here. I was definitely "that" customer asking what kind of donut this or that one was.....the lady was just so sweet and patient. They were very accommodating when we requested special instructions for our lattes. It's fairly basic though, even for MI standards.

I have had many different things from Meyer bakery over the years and I don't think I have ever had anything that wasn't top notch. Great donuts, reasonably priced cakes for grads and birthdays, and great bread as well. Open early and always well stocked. If you get a cake, I recommend their raspberry filling. I needed a red velvet cake for my daughters 16th birthday, I had checked a number of places in years past, I was always quoted over $120 so I never ended up getting one. This year I knew I had to. After hearing my daughter tell me how amazing the Meyer's donuts are I made a point of calling them. The cake was amazing, we are still eating it a week later, it was huge!
