Beautiful little bakery with a huge parking lot! This place gets packed and for good reason!…read more Apple cider donuts are phenomenal, the almond cookies are delightful and soft, the fresh orange juice is well worth $5 a cup, and the muffins are huge. So many things to choose from, good luck!!

Still good! We…read moredon't go to Deboer's often because it's in a high traffic location that attracts swarms of people/ tourists. The food is good, but not usually worth these long wait times imo. Today, was a cloudy and cold Wednesday mid morning. The place was busy, but no long wait times. The food is always good. Everything I've ever eaten on the menu is good... but I have a special affinity for pig 'n the blankets, banket, and any Mexican inspired breakfast item in the menu. Today I had the chorizo Benny. It was fabulous and worth the $15 imo. Our waiter, Pedro, was the best! He's worked there for over a decade and knows the family that runs this restaurant--- 3 Dutch brothers--- he gave me a run down on the lore and all the pictures are of their family photos hanging around the restaurant. I think that's pretty cool. They will be opening and expanding into a new restaurant location on the corner of River and Lakewood Blvd sometime in the near future. That location will have more of a "hipster" vibe with breakfast cocktails, etc. Check them out when you want... but if you don't want to wait come during off peak hours and off season times. Make sure to peruse their bakery for some goodies to take home. Salud.

Ohhh... how I love Coucou so much! Joy and the team do such an amazing job and I am beyond excited…read morethat they're finally opening a brick and mortar this summer. The pop up shops are typically from 12-3pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, making it really hard for me to make, but I always try to hit it! I took a half day and went on a Friday to grab the exclusive donuts, both sandwiches (omg the focaccia is soooo good) and strawberry matcha. I honestly cannot be more thrilled by my purchase and I'm honestly surprised I didn't want to just buy one of everything (probably because a few things have tree nuts and I'm allergic). But they're more artisan priced but the portions are generous and the taste is amazingly delicious!! If you ever get a chance, grab something from her popups at Chef Shack while she's working on her brick and mortar. You will not be disappointed! Just know... the line will be long the nicer the weather gets! Bring a friend, listen to a good audiobook or podcast... even work off your hotspot to multi-task, but just get ready to wait at least an hour+. I usually get there between 11:15-11:30 and I'm in line for a minimum of an hour... just commit and it's worth it!

Tried the pop up back in March after seeing some hype online about them. Small commercial kitchen…read morethat rotates different pop ups. Its very basic inside but thats to be expected for the type of business it is. Got there early-ish, small line ahead of me. We were wanting to try some of their cupcakes and cake. There was more then a dozen left and we were next in line but the customer ahead of me wiped them out, seems like with a pop up, being early in the day they would have some sort of limit to how much each person could get, and we were told they dont restock. We sadly got 2 cookies to try instead, a chocolate chip and miso pretzel cookie, $8 for the both of them. The cookies were forgettable, if you go, I would skip on those - they didnt taste any different from a recipe you could make at home and there was 0 miso flavor in the cookie. I have a feeling the cakes would have been a lot better, probably why they got sold out. I wanted to try the focaccia bread but I thought the price point was too steep for what was being offered. The staff was 5/5 friendly. Ill probably go back and try them again in the future and hopefully get to try some of their cakes.

You simply will not find a better breakfast in town…read more Wayland, Michigan is a small town in every regard and it's full of amazing people. The Auction House is quite literally all the best parts of Wayland, MI wrapped up in one dining experience. When you walk into this simple brick outbuilding of the livestock auction, you might be taken back by how tiny it is really is. About 20 seats wrapped around a U shaped counter. If all the seats are filled, just be patient and hang out by the door, something will open up soon. If you need seats together, it is not unusual to see a whole row of customers get up and shift their seats around to make room for you. That's just what you do because it's the right thing to do. Very Wayland. You'll also want to prepare yourself for small talk. When you sit at the counter, it's more like sitting at a giant dinner table in your kitchen at home. There's plenty of regular customers and it won't take long for you to become one yourself. Amy's food is outstanding and, trust me, you won't go hungry. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito, but people also go nuts for the HUGE pancakes and omelettes. Don't want a HUGE pancake? Ask for a little one...I dare you. See what happens. The burgers are also top notch. I love this place and the people who make it thrive. Belly up, and you will too!

The cheese hadn't melted so the omelette hadn't been cooked properly. The bacon was plentiful and tasty though. The best part of the plate was the wheat toast. I think it was homemade.
