The chocolate rum ball is so decadent, I'm in heaven. I will come back for more for sure.

Decent option with a good flæskestegssandwich but otherwise very average food at way above average prices (even by Copenhagen standards)

Want to try a bottle and find out you don't like it? Fine; pass it on and only pay for what you drank. The recommendations coming through are spot on and there's always a good story to go along with each bottle. Pricing is really fair and you leave having paid for a good experience without feeling cheated at all. One note though; the sour dough bread and bread platter in general could be better and felt a little dry.

Wow. Seriously, if you are a wino and appreciate quality, it really doesn't get any better than…read morethis, but be warned BOOK AHEAD. As the right people know about this place, it is always busy....even on a Monday and Tuesday night... I came here with my girlfriends, and you are immediately greeted with the scents of cheeses and meats, and the ambiance of being at a really great friend's house party. Laughter and conversation fill the air, as well as a great interior decor with candles and old Danish pictures and wine peraphilalia. You are then sat and greeted by the waiter with a welcome drink, which I think is such a classy touch, and then he just chatted with us a bit, and brought over a bottle of white to start, and an assortment of 4 different reds. The tapas plate was HUGE and AMAZING with a great assortment of meats and cheeses, homemade tomato pesto, olives, etc. I think my favorite thing though is that you only PAY FOR WHAT YOU DRINK. if you drink half a bottle of white, and half a bottle of red, you only pay for that. It's a genius concept I've seen at another restaurant in LA once, but I hear is very Italian. I wish more places did it this way. The whole atmosphere, ambiance, and everything of this place has made it my favorite winebar in Copenhagen for sure. I am determined to become a regular, come once a month, and have ''my table'' because the service, food and wine really give you the full package of what a night out should be!

After seeing the Little Mermaid my husband and I went out to Torvelhallerne, I had ordered my main…read moreand came across Sweet Valentine and needed to try out some of their dessert. I ended up getting the Raspberry Meringue and Kartoffelkager, in Danish it translates to potato cake (thanks Duolingo), the only potato in the cake is potato flour. The kartoffelkager was so good, the layers of light vanilla cake, whip cream and finally marzipan that is coated in some dusting of chocolate, makes it look like a potato too. Ugh, such a delicate and tasty dessert without being too sweet! The raspberry meringue was huge, it had the right amount of sweetness and tang from the raspberry, I put the rest in my purse to snack on later. I also ended up getting a couple of souvenir treats, mini passionfruit meringue and delicate little cookies. The cashier was really sweet and explained things to me as I ordred. Plus there were little tables around the stand to enjoy your treat, I am hoping we can come back to Copenhagen next year and I hope to have another sweet treat at Sweet Valentine!

Coffee and desserts are most of the offerings here but we were here for the Irish Coffee. I don't have this drink often but really enjoyed their version. Nice balance of Whiskey and coffee-definitely hit the spot. Service was friendly and fast. The desserts looked delicious so we will be back!
