Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Would not provide me any documentation of the tow I received in order to receive a reimbursement rude on the phone and hung up on me while I am trying to get help. I'll drop this fucking truck right here." - Chris at Myers towing I recently upgraded my AAA membership to include a free 100-mile tow. This tow was supposed to be from Lakeland to Tampa. After having AAA send Meyer's towing, I went headed to Tampa to see my truck delivered and start work. Instead, after hitching my truck and heading out, Chris called me with the above statement. I had to return to Lakeland and find wherever Chris had threatened to leave my truck, which wasn't at my house. I had no idea where he was and now late for work. So a little over 6 months ago I had two separate car issues. Both situations needed to take my vehicle from Kissimmee to Tampa. I cannot express enough how well I was treated by Rickey Todd. I told him a long time ago that I would leave a review because of how great of a service he gave my girlfriend and I. Sorry for the late review but his service never left my mind. In a time of need he could have easily said he couldn't drive us in his truck. However, he embraced us into his truck in the middle of the night. He was a great conversationalist, kept us laughing, very respectful, and helped us get our broken down car back home. I cannot express enough of how great he made us feel. Rickey Todd set the standard of exemplary service he provided us. If I am ever in need of towing services again, he'll be the first one I reach out to. I got stuck in some mud during the rain tonight and AAA dispatched Meyers Towing. I cannot give this company enough stars to tell how amazing they are! They were super polite and helpful on the phone (Heidi) and Joe, the driver got my car yanked out of the mud (while it was raining) so quickly! I highly recommend this company! read more

I am a AAA member and called at 5PM to request a tow. I was told that they would be there by 8PM to pick up the car ( luckily I was at a residence and not on the side of the road). At 8:30pm still no tow truck or call. I called AAA for an update and they were told it will be 45 more mins. At 9:30 pm Myers finally called to tell me that they are running behind and I won't be charged for my tow and that I could leave the car since I've been waiting so long . So I went home. At 10:30pm I got a text message from the driver telling me that my car my need to be towed in the morning because the dealership doesnt have a safe drop ( I confirmed with the dealership that they did have a safe drop before scheduling the tow). I asked what time they could pick it up the next day and was told that I needed to call AAA again. My daughters car was finally picked up around 10:15 AM the next day but the driver never called to let me know they were on the way to pick up. AAA ended up covering my overage charges due to all the trouble I have had with this company. I definitely would not recommend them. read more

Per map and AAA 38 mile tow from outside lake Wales to my home. I get 5 miles free with AAA so 33 miles times $4.00 is 132, Myers charged me for 38 miles $154 and didn't take off the 5 miles. When I called them they tried to say it was a 43 mile tow. Way to screw people out of money and not willing to refund the $20.00 overage the charged, just want to argue with the customer. Their motto must be the customer is always wrong. Beware people don't use this company of you have a choice. read more

Our family was driving in an SUV across the state when it overheated outside of Lakeland. AAA was making it really hard for us to figure out when to expect a tow service--we were anxious to get out of the heat with our three kids. So we called Meyer's. A truck arrived, but the driver couldn't connect with AAA so he just drove off. He was backed up to our SUV, ready to tow us to safety, and without saying a single word, just drove off and left us there. We went with Lakeland Wrecker instead and they responded promptly and were great communicators--the driver was in touch with us throughout and even worked out the connection with AAA. Don't trust Meyer's! read more

AAA sent Meyers Towing out to help me this week - and they were great! AAA let me know they'd be with me in 45 minutes, after just 15 minutes Derek from Meyers called me to reassure me he was on the way, and again to ensure he got right to me (I was on a back road). In the end he got my car going again, so didn't need to tow me - but he followed me right to the dealership and even stopped to ensure I got right into the service bay. This place is horrible. Do not call them for anything. I was about 8 miles from my house and the driver decided to go the other way which is about 17 miles to my house. I gave him my credit card which he did not take so asked him cash or check he replied yes. When I handed the check he said no only cash. I argued that AAA quoted me different he said they quoted you wrong. Broke my cars front fender and rear bumper. He was very unprofessional and annoyed at the whole thing which noone did anything to him to upset him. Very racist man. I will let AAA know about this. read more

I was driving on South Florida Ave when one of your drivers pulled into the turning lane to take the parkway. Not looking behind him, he pulled back into the right lane almost hitting my car. When I said something to him he just rolled his window up. I followed him to the Advance Auto Parts so that I could get the name of the company. When he saw that I had my phone out to take a picture of his truck he pulled his truck literally 2 feet from the passenger side door of my car and threw his arms in the air as though he was challenging me. I assume that was to intimidate me. I got out of the car and he immediately threw his truck into reverse and drove over to where the customers that had called him were and proceeded to video what I was doing. All of this because he couldn't just apologize for cutting someone off. He apparently has some rage issues and should not be driving a tow truck. When I called to report his behavior I was told that the woman knew who I was talking about and he would be spoken to. I know that means nothing will be done. He deserves to lose his job. He had his meltdown in front of customers and refused to apologize. I could be stranded 100 miles from home and if this was the only towing company available I'd rather walk. The truck number was 13 and the tag number was E5773D. read more
