You also can choose between flour or corn shells. We chose flour. Such a fantastic deal!! - Pollo 10/10 Grilled chicken, pico, lettuce, cheese, cilantro sour cream- everything about this taco was amazing. I would eat this every day if I could. - Al pastor 9/10 Pork, pineapple, onion, cilantro, queso fresco- I actually don't think there was any onion on it, but either way it was good. The pineapple paired really well with the pork. The green sauce on the side is spicy, I'm glad it's on the side and you can add at your own risk. - Carnitas 8/10 Pulled pork, cilantro, onion- I know it says pulled pork, but there really wasn't any difference in the meat between the al pastor and the carnitas. This one was my least favorite. It was just kinda plain, and I wish it had some type of sauce or queso or just something to make it better. Came here based on the great reviews. I should have gone by the photos instead. This is one of those places that tries to be an upscale Mexican restaurant but completely misses the mark. I had the brisket tacos, and the flavor combinations were just bad. The lime did not work with the dish at all either. The dip sampler was unbelievable. The elote was a cup of mayo with corn dumped on top. They could not even be bothered to mix it together or add ANY seasoning. It was a complete joke. The burrito was okay, but it probably should not have had guacamole in it. Once again, the flavors just did not work well together. Speaking of the guacamole, the chips were so paper thin they could not even hold up to scooping it. Again, mid. The service was disappointing too. There were no food runners, so our food was barely warm by the time it reached the table. Our server said no to two easy requests that would have added more to the bill. He had too many tables as well. The restaurant itself was clean and looked nice, and the prices were reasonable. In ending, the salsa was weak, and that was the first sign this meal was going to be disappointing. Now I understand why this restaurant has such great reviews. We were on the hunt for something good to eat and happened to stumble upon this spot, so glad we did. We chose to sit outside, and while the service was great, the food was even better. For starters, I had the orange margarita (recommended by our waiter), and wow, it was delicious. I've never had one quite like it. For my entrée, I ordered a mix of three tacos, and each one was packed with flavor. The only downside was the number of tiny flies outside, they kept finding their way into my drink. Not sure if that's typical, but I'd probably opt to sit inside next time because of it. My partner and I stopped here on the way back to the airport. It was a Monday and there weren't too many people in the restaurant. We stood there for a while trying to figure out if we needed to seat ourselves or if we should wait on somebody. We were finally noticed and directed to a table. After being seated they brought us chips and salsa. For the most part, I love chips at a Mexican restaurant! They're always so thin and crispy and taste fresh. I guess you can go wrong in some instances, but these were PERFECT! Thin, crisp, and salted. And the salsa was just right. It wasn't too spicy. I ended up ordering the quesadilla and my partner ordered a combination plate. Her combination plate had a tamale that she didn't want so I took it. I can say that the tamale tasted like it came out of a can. It was not authentic at all. I can't go wrong with the quesadilla that's pretty much my go-to. The fajitas were much better than small town mexican restaurants because there are full strips of chicken rather than the skinny, short strips that you see often times with other fajitas The inside is very nicely decorated with cute lights and pretty things hanging from the ceiling. The staff were very friendly and never kept us waiting! The price here is a little more expensive than some other mexican restaurants, but well worth it for what you get. read more

We tried this place for the first time on a busy day like Black Friday. We were seated right away. It's nice and clean from the inside; pretty close to the destin outlet mall. The service could be better though. We tried their guacamole with chips, which were good. Then ordered their tequila flight for $25. I also tried their Mexican old fashioned. It was nice and different. See photos below. I also liked their chicken burrito bowl. It was delicious and my favorite. Their black beans with rice are pretty good. I also really liked their salsa. It was pretty authentic. We also ordered their steak tacos and they were good. Overall, this place is great. Service was a bit slow but loved our drinks and food. Another great dinner was had at Mezcal Mexican Grill last night. The restaurant is a mix of both locals and tourists. The waiters are always walking around making sure the drinks are full and to make sure everyone is good. The shrimp fajitas came out piping hot and as well as the Carne Asada. There are some great points and some interesting points to Mezcal Mexican Grill. We went for brunch and met some friends, they were super flexible on seating, which was great. We ordered some margs, some got the house, I got the maestro, which was more fresh orange based. It was also great. The chips were a bit weak, super thin, seemed bagged. Same for the guac and the salsa, if they were homemade, I'm surprised. They tasted store bought. I was also surprised to see pizza on their menu, but that's cool I guess. I got chilaquiles verde, and these were some of the most authentic ones I've had this side of the border. I'd go there every weekend for chilaquiles specifically if I lived there. Some other folks in our party got quesadillas and really liked them. The staff were super nice and split our ticket multiple ways. I do recommend you check this place out for brunch or otherwise. They also had a large patio for outdoor seating in the right weather. read more

We ordered take-out. Had the fajita trio and pork tamales. To our dismay, they forgot to give us the tortillas that come with the meal. But hey, those things happen, we could have gone back but that would have taken another 20 minutes. We can still enjoy the meal sans tortillas...so I thought. Chicken was dry and majority of meal was way too salty. We could not eat the tamale or chicken. My husband said it looked as though they were trying to close up early. Maybe this had something to do with our poor food quality? Sadly, this was not a good experience for us. Update: Restaurant did leave a msg to try to make up for the poor take-out food experience. Ok so we went with a group of people and kids. Few items ordered : asada tacos, taco salad, spinach and mushroom enchiladas, brisket tacos, kids quesadilla, kids cheese pizza, burrito bowl. Allllll of the food was super salty. The only dish that wasn't was the taco salad. The brisket tacos were so salty they weren't finished. I also ordered the mezcal Rita it was ok didn't really taste the mezcal. Overall I'm not sure what was going on but literally everything was so salty even the kids pizza. So I'm not sure if they sprinkled salt on everything before it came out or what. It was very unfortunate. The chips and salsa were good though. This place instantly jumped into my top Mexican restaurants. Came in for dinner and was impressed across the board. The [dish you loved] was outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with intention. The [another dish or salsa] really stood out, and even the sides were excellent (which is rare). Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the atmosphere felt lively but comfortable. You can tell this is a place that cares about both the food and the experience. Good place! Easy to get in and sit for lunch and dinner. We did dinner here on a Friday and then breakfast on Sunday. Dinner was good. I had the carne asada tacos and my friend had the el pastor tacos. Both were very good and we both had yummy drinks. For breakfast we waited 20 minutes to sit then ordered and it took about 45 minutes to get our food. It was a long time. The service is decent at breakfast other than how long it took. Service was better and more attentive at dinner but everyone was friendly. Breakfast was decent. I had the French toast and the bananas were a little odd. I don't think I'd get them again. The place is spacious and has a good floor to ceiling window effect that feels very open. I'd say yes to lunch or dinner and maybe not to breakfast yet. Seems there may be a lack of staff. read more

My favorite thing here was the Smokey mango cocktail. Soooo good! I also had the brisket tacos, which were really pot roast tacos. They were okay but not what I expected. Beautiful restaurant with no wait at 6pm on a Thursday. We loved most everything we got. I had a spicy margarita that may have been the most perfect spicy margarita I've ever had. Chips and salsa were brought out first. The salsa is not overly spicy at all but the flavor was incredible. My daughter and I split chicken nachos and street corn. The corn was perfectly grilled but could have used more tajin! The nachos were perfect, the chicken was super flavorful and the guac was delish. My husband had the poblano chicken enchiladas, the chicken was not the same as the nachos. It was shredded and pretty salty. Overall he liked it, but would have preferred the chicken from the nachos. The menu is huge and took us awhile to decide on what to order- everything looked great. Will for sure come back when we visit Destin again. read more
