This was place was terrible. I had a vasovagal episode where I was about to pass out and my heart rate dropped to 48 bpm and the hostess insisted I not lay my head down on the table. I do not drink alcohol and this was a true medical episode that was occurring. Keeping my head down prevented my from losing consciousness and falling. The food was also horrible there and the service as terrible too. I will never return to this place. The hostess was downright ignorant. Instead of asking if a customer needed EMS due to my medical episode, she insisted I not make it look like I was intoxicated. I will never go here again. read more

This is one of my new favorite spots in the Baytowne Wharf. Based on the entrance, I always thought this was a small space, but it has an incredible patio. Plenty of shade with beautiful views of the bay. Good vibes. Overall space was very clean and the servers were attentive and friendly. Impressed with the beer battered tenders, great texture and flavor. Blue cheese chips were slightly cold, but still really enjoyed. Got the chicken wings naked with sauces on the side. Crisp skin and juicy meat. Maui Wowie sauce reminded me of an Asian Zing, with more sweet onion flavor. Looking forward to going back with the family. read more

My family of five was told there would be a 20-minute wait for a table, which we accepted. After returning from the wait, we saw another family of the same size walk up and get seated immediately. When I checked in with the hostess, I was told there were no tables available inside -- yet we had just walked past at least three open tables. Instead, we were seated outside, where there were plenty of open tables the entire time. It was clear we could have been seated much earlier without the wait. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve from there. Once seated, we were completely ignored -- no one greeted us, took a drink order, or even acknowledged us. Meanwhile, another nearby table was promptly attended to by a server right after they were seated. After waiting far too long with no service at all, we decided to leave. We walked to Rum Runners nearby and were seated, greeted, and served drinks within 15 minutes. The contrast in service was night and day. I've enjoyed other Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville locations in the past and have had great experiences. But the service at 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill in Baytowne Wharf was disappointing and left a poor impression. This ultimately comes down to how much the staff care about the customer experience. It felt unprofessional and disorganized, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

When I finally got my food, they forgot the jalapeños I specifically asked for, which was frustrating because that was the whole reason I ordered that item. We went in for a bachelorette dinner. Our waitress, Cass, was extremely rude. She made rude comments every time she came to our table. She spilt a glass of wine on one of our party members and did not even apologize. When we asked questions or asked for things she smarted off. We finally decided to get the attention of the manager, Bonnie, who had been working in many different areas around the patio. She apologized for our waitress, addressed the member who was covered in wine, and took over serving our table herself. She was so nice and welcoming!
