The staff are slow and obviously have no idea what they're doing, half of them were talking in the parking lot while the ones inside didn't know how to solve issues. Mezeh? Meh! From my review of other posts as well as my experience with this restaurant, I conclude that the training of Mezeh franchisees and employees is very poor. Multiple reviewers cite problems with recently opened restaurants "coming up to speed" for weeks or months after opening. The Harbor View Suffolk location was no exception. There were NO other customers in line when we arrived but it was several minutes before an employee finally came to the counter to serve us. The server had NO idea about the items she was serving because she could not answer a single question. When she was done filling our bowls, she just walked away without a comment. Finally, someone else called out, "I'll be right with you." We had to wait while this other employee finished filling a bowl for what was apparently a take-out order for a customer who had not yet even arrived to come to the register. Furthermore, the server had not told him anything about our order so we had to review it with him. We could have saved a few dollars by not informing him off the extra items we ordered but we didn't. He seemed utterly unfamiliar with how to ring up the order because he paused over the keys for a minute to figure out how to do it. They promote having "fresh" ingredients but the meat and falafel proteins were dried out from sitting on the serving line too long. The vegetables and salad items were decent. However, the roasted eggplant was served in large pieces and there weren't any knives available to the customers to cut them up with. The dining area was poorly serviced as several tables were dirty, there were no napkins laid out, and at least one of the tables was wobbly beyond use. What kept this from being a 1 or 2 star review was that, by asking for a lot of different ingredients in the bowl, I could get a good size serving for about ten dollars, though we paid the same amount for my wife who ordered less. With so many other dining options within a minutes drive in Harbor View, I don't see this place around much longer. I stopped for a bowl yesterday for the first time. I was hesitant from the reviews but I love Mediterranean food. The staff welcomed me with a "hello" and smiles. The ingredients were very fresh and my bowl was filled to the top. It was enough for two lunches and that is worth the price, in my opinion. And WOW the food is delicious and I wish I lived closer. I know where I will grab lunch when in Suffolk now. If you had a bad experience you should give them another shot. read more

We went back today and tried the ground lamb bowl. Everthing was superb. I gave 4 stars because they still did not have the tzatziki sauce since last Sunday. Will return next Sunday. Staff very friendly. Manager Ron awesome. read more

Food is good but the bowls are so skimpy. They don't even give you a full scoop of protein and these bowls are not cheap. Service was mediocre as there are only a couple of people working there that have GOOD customer service skills. I probably won't be visiting this restaurant again unless things change. I'm not stingy but just to get a proper amount of protein you shouldn't have to pay added costs. read more

This location has decent fast casual mediterranean food. However, they are usually understaffed at lunchtimes (when I go) and only have two people working so it's not fast. They're also out of a few things usually like falafel, pita pockets, and other sides or proteins. It's usually not too loud in there. If they consistently had stuff in stock it get some more stars. read more

The food is so fresh and so good, and the prices are quite bearable. Mezeh in Suffolk is still trying to figure it out or find their stride. There are times when several menu items are not available, or they run out of bags with the Mezeh advertisement. Currently, they have run out of large bowls, so they are using the medium bowls, but still charging you for the large. Something about that does not sit well with me. Just tell customers you only have 2 sizes available (small and child-size bowls) and charge them for that actual size. I recently ordered food from this location 6 days out of the week, which shows how much a really enjoy the food, but if these seemingly small things continue to happen I will just stop going. read more

I was excited to see another Mediterranean Grill open up however the service and food availability left a lot to be desired. They were put of roasted veggies pickled onions and couple other items. The Female making my bowl just pulled everything on top of each other in the center of the bowl to look like it was a full bowl but wasn't. She was running out of items on the line and was shorting the customer in order to make up for their shortcomings. read more
