This place was soooo good! For me, I loved being surrounded by books that featured Middle Eastern characters, trusted classics and the smell of a PROPER Turkish Coffee! I fell in love with Turkish Coffee in Afghanistan and this was so on point. I might as well have been sitting on a carpet with the local women of the region. The lady who ran the from of the house was so kind, I greatly enjoyed and appreciated her hospitality! The food was absolutely delicious. I was able to stay on my macros all while enjoying outstanding food. There was no gimmick or shortcut with the food. The sights smells and tastes made me feel so welcomed. We've visited Mazari a few times over the years and finally writing a review. Quiet on Wednesday evening around 6. A two section, divided, no frills dining area without outdoor seating. We ordered takeout which was seamless. For appetizer, it was Hummus (excellent!) that came with pita chips-a welcomed change from the usual pita bread. Ordered a couple of entrees which come with two sides. The Beef/Lamb Gyro was tasty with the seasoned potato side hitting the spot. Tomato/Cucumber salad was ok. We were really looking forward to the Kobida-while the sauce was exceptional, the meat (for us) which was seasoned perfectly was unfortunately over grilled/cooked. Maybe this is the way it should be but didn't work for us. The Eggplant and spinach sides stole the show though and were our favorites. The Greek salad was fine but it was missing Feta. We ordered extra of the pita bread and loved it-if they didn't make it in-house, we need to find out the brand! Service was exceptional and enthusiastic! We will be back! read more

The portions are generous, so if you're hungry, you're definitely leaving full and satisfied. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Service is good and we probably got our food in 20 minutes or so. The server recommended the eggplant as a side, and while I was hesitant at first, I'm so glad I went for it--it was incredibly flavorful. I've been back a few times in late 2022 after a long absence. Both visits were lunch and the interior is the same as when they opened and very plain. Ordering is done in the back, service was friendly. Prices have increased substantially. I ordered the chicken, with sides of stewed tomatoes and chick peas. You can get sauce on the side if you wish. It comes with pita bread. No combos and drinks are bottle only. They make everything fresh except the baklava. Supposedly it actually is imported from Turkey. it took a bit to get my food out with no other customers dining in. They also were experiencing a great deal of carry-out. After 15-20 minutes my order was ready. The cashier delivered my food on a real plate, not paper as before and a bone of contention. However silverware was plastic. Ugh! It's a huge plate, be ready. Everything was correct on temperatures and darn good. I typically cannot finish the dish and again it proved too much. I will say the quality is not as good as in their first few years and prices much higher. I'm glad that I came back and was able to upgrade. Let's add in real silverware please for dine in. This is hands down one of VB's gems. My favorite place to get Mediterranean food and gyros. You have to get the lamb and beef gyro platter, it's such a good bang for your buck. I usually get it with the chickpeas and tomato and cucumber salad. The meat is so tender, juicy and flavorful paired with the tzatziki sauce and buttery rice. Getting the eggplant side is a must, they sometimes sell out! The service is always good whether you dine in or take out. It's pretty fast as well, we dined in this and our food was ready within 5-10 mins. It's pretty spacious inside, not much decor but it looks clean and minimal. The restaurant is clean and seems to be recently renovated. You walk in past a serving window to the host in the back to order. The menu has some variety, but is not overwhelming. Beverage options include canned soda, fountain drinks and Turkish coffee. The staff are extremely polite and friendly. I enjoyed the beef and lamb gyro (doner). As you can see in the photo. This thing was packed with meat. It is also filled with lettuce, tomato, red onion and tzatziki sauce. The tzatziki appears to be homemade and used more mint than I have experienced at other restaurants. I upgraded my side from chips to potatoes. These are a boiled potato with a garlicky tomato sauce. It was worth the additional cost to upgrade. I throughly enjoyed my meal and would recommend Mazari's as a must try for their Gyros. read more

Went to Mazari with our three grandchildren. For an appetizer we ordered the Hummus. The Fried Pita Chips served along with were a pleasant surprise. They were well-seasoned and crispy. For our meals, we had the Salmon Kebab Platter with an extra side of Chicken. The girls had the Chicken Platter. All the food was fresh. The proteins were flavorful and very tender. I can't say whether we enjoyed the Salmon or the Chicken most. Both were great. The staff are friendly and attentive. I appreciate that the children were welcomed and acknowledged. It's a small restaurant that probably gets most of its business from carry-out. There are at least five four-tops in the main dining room. I appreciate also the jazz music played during the meal. Mazari is pumping out some serious flavor!!! Mediterranean cuisine is at the top of my list when it comes to takeout and Mazari hit all of the marks. Luckily, it just happens to be located nearby and we stumbled across it on Yelp. It was a night when we weren't up for cooking and their menu sounded great. We ordered takeout via phone and were quoted 15 minutes, which was right on the money. I picked it up, brought it home, and we were able to eat it fresh and hot. What we ordered; a little bit of everything. We got two of their platters, the lamb chop platter and the gyro platter. In the future, we could definitely share one because their portions are generous, but it will definitely be hard to narrow down choices because it was all so good. Both meats were perfectly prepared. The lamb chops (4) were super tender and flavorful, with the perfect medium serve. All of the sauces and spices complimented the lamb nicely. The gyro was also great; very tender and flavorful. we also ordered a side of falafel, which is always a favorite and theirs was by far the best I've had. 10/10 on all of these. Surprisingly though, my favorite bite of the night was their eggplant. For each platter, you choose two sides, which is very generous and we chose 4 different ones. All were delicious, but that eggplant is next level. If you get anything from this review, order the eggplant. Service was also awesome.
