The dish is fettuccine noodles, artichoke hearts, spinach, herbs and lemon. I substituted roasted red peppers instead of tomatoes. Must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was.. I was persuaded to get it because of a commercial that I saw where they said that they know how to do mac and cheese... Obviously...they don't!!! And for the price?!?! $13!! This was my fourth or fifth time ordering from this restaurant. Normally, they are pretty good. However, on this occasion that ordered a few things and wasn't too pleased. This chicken Parmesan item in theory looks good. The oral taste was there. It was just extremely dry and watery for my liking. The noodles were a little undercooked for me. Again, I've had them before, so I was pretty shocked by this particular item. The sauce to noodle ratio was off. The chicken was actually pretty good. I couldn't get over how dry everything was. With a little tweaking, this could be perfect. For the amount that this bowl cost a little extra sauce would be perfect. The sauce only covered the top of the noodles. This is a fast casual spot that has the ambiance of a Panera Bread but with a menu full of noodles from around the world. Most dishes are between $7.50 and $10 or so, and the serving size is reasonable. Service is friendly and relatively fast. Ingredients do not seem homemade - the totellini was clearly the same kind as you buy semi-frozen in the grocery store. Japanese Pan noodles were delicious but the flavor was not an authentic Japanese - definitely a little bit of a spicy kick to it that you wouldn't find in Japan. Wow! We came here on Sunday 11/3 and their system was done. Nevertheless they wrote down all of our order and everything was on the house! Their hospitality was top notch and our food came out fresh and literally made in 10 minutes!! I love their Honest Tea, it isn't a heart attack tea but it's just right. Noodles & Co. had a time a few years ago where it was really popular for takeout with my office mates and I saw the menu and thought I'd like it but it didn't work out for me to join them. This past Saturday we were in the area and we walking around looking for somewhere to get a lighter lunch. I browsed the menu and saw salads, teas, zucchini and cauliflower noodles and I was sold. My boyfriend and I had lunch here and sat outside in their seating area just to the right of the front entrance (tons and tons of flies, be warned). Masks are required inside and there is no inside seating right now due to COVID so they are practicing social distancing. Staff were all wearing masks and gloves. They have some vegetarian sections on their menu, Asian-style, and signature or traditional favorites. Most can be small or regular sized and all can be upgraded to a combo with a side and a drink. I chose the full-size zucchini shrimp scampi meal combo with an honest tea and a small caesar side salad. My boyfriend chose the orange noodle bowl with an honest tea and side salad. Meal total was about $32.00. Pretty steep for takeout right? Small small side salads... and the $2.95 up charge for the side was actually more like $4.20 per person bc the honest teas weren't included... register worker didn't specify that we couldn't select from the cooler for an up charge, he acted like it was part of the combo. He said, "Or you can get a drink from the cooler" when I asked if drinks were fountain. Well, of course we can get drinks from the cooler any time we want, I didn't realize it would be $3 for a tea when the combo came with a drink already.... so that's irritating and super high price. There's a small parking lot behind the building in addition to 2 hour street parking on Colley Ave. The restaurant itself was clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu features a few appetizers, soups, salads and pre-configured pasta/noodle dishes with prices based on size (small, regular) and choice of protein (meatballs, pork, chicken, shrimp, tofu). They also have kids meals which include entree, 2 sides and a drink for $5.25. Gluten free pasta is available by request. My pesto cavatappi order was ready in 8 minutes; it was light on tomatoes but the ingredients tasted fresh and the curly pasta was cooked al dente. Their international inspired offerings are fast-food'ish versions of Italian, Korean, Russian, Thai and American comfort food dishes. Variety is good but my wife gets grossed out watching 1 child eat Mac n cheese while another eats spaghetti and meatballs as she attempts dining on Pad Thai. I have been to this particular Noodles & Company on several occasions with no issues! The food is always good, the service is quick, and they offer military discount. I ordered their regular sized Pad Thai with chicken (costs extra). It was very good, but the amount of eggs in the dish were a little overwhelming! Other than that, the noodles were cooked perfectly & the fresh lime juice was a plus. In total, I paid about $9 for my meal (chicken added about $2.50 to my total). I have ordered their macaroni and cheese in previous visits and would definitely choose to order this over the Pad Thai in the future! The customer service was wonderful. My first time, I had stepped away from the NICU and wanted some noodles. I came in and wanted some Japanese Pan Noodles. Didn't realize it would have a spice to it, but when I bit into it, it was a little spicy. I cannot do spice at all. I told the guy at the front and told him it was too spicy. No where on the menu did it mention if it was spicy. So he asked what else I would like to try? I asked him to give me some suggestions of popular ones that aren't spicy, he suggested the Pesto Cavattapi. I added chicken to it it was great!! Overall, I was impressed with the service. I used to eat at this place when I was a midshipman in Annapolis. I was SOOOOOOO excited when I found out they came to Hampton Roads. My absolute favorite noodle place to eat! I love the variety, and that they have added some other noodle options to the list! The only thing that could be improved on is the grilled chicken. I ordered some chicken with my sons' Wisconsin Mac n Cheese and I also ordered it iny Pesto Cavatappi and MAN was it SALTY! I normally make my 3 year old clear his plate but I agreed with him when he said he didn't want to eat it . Everything else was just as I remembered it... DELICIOUS! It's in the hip Ghent district in walking distance to other establishments I love. All of those things primed me for a great meal. What I got was disappointing. Pad Thai that was soupy with tofu that was soggy and flavorless. The overall flavor of the pad Thai did little to help the dish. Rare is it I'm so primed to expect things to be great and let down so thoroughly. Thai soup was better, but nothing to write home about. The concept, staff, and location have a lot of potential- but the food, at least what I got, was disappointing enough I'm probably not going back for a second trip, as there are much better options in the area. read more

What a pleasant surprise! I came here a few years back and was not impressed; however, me and my sister came in here today when another place across the street didn't have a good gluten free menu. I am SO glad we decided to go here instead. Upon walking in, it wasn't very crowded. We went around 1pm today (Thursday). Very clean all around. Neat little place, kind of dark, but overall a casual environment. Employees were nice and friendly. Their soda machine was not working, so neither was their ice. At first, I was drinking sweet tea with no ice, but I asked the guy when he brought out our food if they had any in the back. He brought out a huge cup filled with ice and I happily filled my drink. Very satisfied customer (: Food was DELICIOUS! I ate every drop. I got the gluten free Wisconsin Mac and Cheese. My sister got the gluten free Pasta Fresca with shrimp in it. She loved hers as well. I always ask for the pesto pasta dish as I find it to be tasty and not too filling - just enough. I do think they are a bit overpriced though. The new zoodles (zucchini noodles) were a low carb dream. I got the penne rosa with parmesan crusted chicken. Entire bowl had around 400 calories and 30 carbs. This is the first time ever since I was a kid eating here. When I was a kid I thought the chicken Alfredo was so creamy and well seasoned. I was disappointed eating dinner here tonight. I ordered the penne with the crusted chicken and my boyfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo. First off my noodles tasted so chewy, like I was chewing gum. They had no seasoning and no sauce. This Noodles & Company is always good and consistent. I think they have one of the best pad Thai's that I have ever had even (if it's not "authentic"). I always add the Parmesan Chicken for extra protein and it surprisingly pairs quiet nicely with Asian noodles. I am glad to see they have lowered their prices back to what they originally were before the summer. I was discouraged to go here because of the 1-2 dollar increase, but I am glad that I gave it another try to find that the prices were lowered back down. read more

Overall I had a nice experience. I got a pesto cavatappi and it was delicious. I was left wanting more even though my stomach was full. The dining area was clean and big and the music was nice. However, I was really unhappy that I was charged for a fountain drink when I asked for a water cup. If I wanted to pay for water then I would have just gotten a bottle of water. I wish I was informed that I was going to have to pay for a water because then I would have just asked for a fountain drink or a bottle of water. Just felt a little misleading. Also, the staff isn't very friendly. They weren't rude, just didn't really say hello and not even a thank you. Just seemed like they wanted us to leave.
