Really enjoyed my lunch at Mezeh! Nice and clean establishment. I was greeted upon arrival to friendly staff. All of the ingredients in my chicken bowl tasted fresh and flavorful.

I come here when I charge my car, healthy options, very filling fresh and they have tractor organic sodas. I like lemon grass and cucumber.

Have been to other locations of Mezeh, but came to this location for the first time. Ordered takeaway of their mixed bowl, and added a side of falafel. Total came out to approximately $23. What's hot - Quality. Pretty delish. I really enjoyed the side of falafels. Texture was not hard; it was soft, tender, and; was nicely seasoned. I really enjoyed their mix-ins of the corn salad, pickled beets, and hummus. I also appreciate that their mix-ins are not too salty. - Service. Pretty good. My order was ready when they said it would be. When I arrived, I could see their takeaway orders were organized on a shelf by the cashier. I told one of their staffers of my order and she found it easily. They were prompt and courteous. - Price. For the quality, pretty good value for money. - Takeaway containers. I appreciate their takeaway containers are mostly made of recycled materials. They also use paper containers, rather than plastic, which is great. - Location. Convenient. They're located in a plaza with many other businesses, including a Costco. This also means there is ample parking. What's not - Portions. The size of the bowl was pretty good, but the portions of the salad greens was not. It was probably difficult to squish the mixed greens down a bit, but there was not much of the green salad. Additionally, it appeared I may have been missing a couple of mix-ins that I ordered, like olives. Final Answer Pretty good and will probably come back.

Great healthy option to grab lunch or a quick dinner. I have never heard of Mezah until a colleague took me here. The service is very similar to a chipotle or cava were you do an assembly line and tell the workers what you want and they scoop it into a bowl or a wrap. The food was great and there's tons of options for proteins and vegetables. Mezah knocks cava out of the water in my opinion, not a big fan of cava anyways. The protein options were really tasty. I got lamb and steak and both were good. There were a little stingy on the meat so I opted for a double meat portion. The total for double proteins and unlimited toppings came out to $23. Not too bad considered the bowl was filling. I would go back for sure.

We have been to Mezeh in Chesapeake, VA. And we saw in Yelp that they have one here in DC. Everyone know how hard to find parking here but this area has lots of free parking so that's a big plus. This location is a whole area of different restaurants and stores with free parking. This Mezeh restaurant is large and tables and chairs are awell spaced. Well lighted too. Ambience is the same as in Chesapeake so is their decor. The staff are nice and easy to talk too. So we had fun ordering what we wanted. We opted to take out and that was fast. The food is very good. Fresh veggies and well seasoned. The meat is soft and delicious. We truly enjoyed our experience here too. Thanks Mezeh. You are a favorite. Excuse the no food pictures. My kids inhaled it before I can take pictures.

    Lunch is great!!

This place is awesome..great customer service...fresh food all the time and the portions are perfect..the bowl holds me down until dinner time, which is exactly what I need!!!

I popped in here after a quick Costco run to grab a bowl. It was getting close to my bedtime so I ordered a small bowl (I think they call it a jr bowl) and it only costs $7. I reached my festoon and was ready to take a second bite and found a long dark piece of hair. I attempted to call the location and was rounded to their central call center which was closed. So I ended up going back. The team was very apologetic but it was disappointing to have this happen on my first experience. The bowl was yummy but the hair was a pretty big turn off

Food is always good and fresh!! Service is ok except that it's probably not smart to have employees who dont understand English well taking orders. I had to repeat a question a few times to the server before she called on the manager to assist. Other than that, it was great. I was on my way to work and needed to mentally prepare and eat before my shift so stopping here was on point. It was quiet, always clean and just relaxing.

Not bad for "fast food" Mediterranean! This is my first time trying Mezeh, I'm usually a Cava girl and while Cava is still my #1, this place was good. They have a lot more options in terms of toppings/ingredients when you build your bowl. Everything tastes clean (if that makes sense?). The pita chips on the side were great too. The harissa wasn't my favorite and not spicy enough, but other than that I enjoyed my bowl!

For a chain restaurant, it's surprisingly good. Bowls of prepared food are all that's available here. I'm not really a fan of the bowl approach which is wildly popular in America however this place has changed my mind about that. I did some research on the word meze/mezze. Depending on the source, it's from one of the following languages: Arabic, Greek, Persian or Turkish -- so take your pick! Mezeh (the chain) is not precisely offering a traditional mezze. A proper mezza (as I know it) is an array of many plates of food on a table that you can choose from and make a meal of. A bowl isn't used to lump all the choices into. The first mezze that I experienced was years ago at a Lebanese establishment. The Lebanese do mezze well and are famous for it. Their tabouli is balanced and wonderful; the baba ghanoush is smoky; and the hummus is classic. I like the shredded lamb and kefta lamb; both are flavorful. The beet topping is kind of funky, never had that before. Be clear about how much sauce you want; too much tahini got put on one of my bowls once. Found at the outer edges of the Dakota Crossing Shopping Center in northeast DC, near Costco, this spot is a bit of a hidden gem. But more and more folks are finding out about it. There's certainly a lot of hot and cold foods to choose from. Many palates can be satisfied. The pricing is reasonable.

This was my first time having Mezeh. What made it even better is that the grand opening was on August 31, 2022 and my bowl was free. How can you beat that. Nonetheless, the food was pretty good. Everything was so fresh. They gave more greens than anything and I believe that was because they were giving food away. I would definitely be back to visit and try some other sauces. Cava has this garlic sauce that I love and I'm hoping I can find a sauce that I love at Mezeh. Oh yea and they make their own pita, fresh in store.

This is now my second time stopping by mezeh and I consider it to be the Mediterranean version of chipotle. It's a nice spot to go to if your in the area and need a quick healthy-ish bite to eat. You can start of by picking your salad or rice and then your protein. I usually like to stick with kale although I've tried the seasonal grain, which is also good. I've tried both the shredded lamb and the chicken shawarma and they both could use a bit more seasoning in my opinion. However, the veggie topping Ms are definitely flavor packed. The caramelized eggplant, roasted veggies, and spicy pickled carrots are some of my favorites. My only problem besides that lack of flavor in the proteins is that only the grains and the proteins are hot and after you end up adding all of the toppings on they both become cold. Overall, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.

    Nice selection of fresh ingredients.

I had no idea what to expect but it blew me out of the water. It was a 10 out of 10 experience and we danced and danced and danced. I often believe the DC food scene falls flat, but that was not the case with Vera at all! I am so excited that I went, and I am excited to come back one day.

The vibrant décor, bold colors, and stylish upstairs dining area created a wonderful setting for an evening out with friends. The atmosphere was lively, welcoming, and full of great energy. Our server was attentive throughout the evening and provided excellent service. At one point, another table was celebrating and as everyone sang, our group joined in. It added to the sense of community, laughter, and fun that filled the restaurant. Now, let's get into the food. The fish sliders had good flavor but were dry. Since the updated menu no longer included rice as shown in the menu on their website, we had to request it separately. Although they accommodated our request, the rice arrived lukewarm instead of hot. I ordered the Branzino, and unfortunately, it was overcooked. For the price, I expected a tender, flaky fish that melted in my mouth, but instead it was cooked hard and dry. The yellow rice was also dry and lacked seasoning. The salad had far too many onions and peppers, and small amounts of greens and there wasn't enough dressing to balance the flavors. The spicy mocktail was absolutely delicious and was easily the highlight of my meal. Overall, our table had mixed reviews. While the ambiance and service earned a 5 out of 5, the food earned only a 2 out of 5. The beautiful atmosphere couldn't make up for food that was consistently overcooked and dry. Would I return? Probably not. I wanted the food to be just as memorable as the ambiance, but for me, it fell short--especially considering the price point.

I used to work around this area and was familiar with this establishment in its last iteration as a breakfast, all day spot. Late last year, I think it was they rebranded in a McDowell's sort of way and honestly, I wish they would embrace that a little more. I ordered the same thing I would get at Roaming Rooster, the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich except here, I asked that no mayo nor tomato be added. Here they come with it, a marked difference. Then I sat back, no, I stood back and observed the goings-on. First I questioned why they sell tacos. Not to anywhere there, just to myself. Why not a Big Mick[sic]? Coming 2 America is coming soon. Right after that a gentleman came in and ordered tacos and coffee. :-/ Then I thought about how good the Ethiopian food could be here. I would be down to try it, way before I'd buy a taco here but then again I thought, why not go the Mélange route and have Ethiopian spiced chicken sandwiches. Yes I was doing a lot of thinking because I was waiting for a long time. I'd taken my John Mercer Langston picture and thought about menu changes I'd make if I were like Marcus Lemonis, investing nothing but sharing my i.p. for free like this review. The sandwich was actually, surprisingly good. A little on the oily side but much better than I thought and not at all shaped or packaged like Roaming Rooster, a different bird indeed. It's also filling so I would skip the fries because I'm sure they aren't as good as Wings across the street so get a taco if you wish.
