My coworker and I did a "You fly, I buy," And it was definitely worth the drive from the base. I got the Power Steak bowl and my coworker wanted me to pick for him since he knows I know my way around food. So I ordered him a chicken chicken bowl. And we both enjoyed our meals. My bowl was pretty good, flavored decently. My steak was a little dry, but it was ok. The rice and veggies in there were ok, not too shabby. So all in all, it was a decent meal. My coworker said that his meal was amazing, but then again I have to always give him recipes to try at home because he is a single man and can't really cook that well. Damn!! Love you guys so much!!! Little too much garlic in the s'hug or the tzatziki sauce... I've purchase bottles of sauces many times (50+) in the past because my family loves Mediterranean cuisine... but a couple days ago, I bought the s'hug and tzatziki sauce, and I can still smell the garlic on my tongue and breathe... I asked for a kids meal since it was my first time there and didn't want to spend a lot of money. When I asked for a kids meal the guy behind the counter looked confused or plain just didn't want me as an adult ordering a kids meal. I should have took that as a hint the whole experience wouldn't be great. He then denied me a pita chip that came with the meal because "you ordered an extra topping" and charged me 2 dollars for a pack of hard pita chips. When they first opened, the portions were generous and the food was delicious. However, I've noticed a significant decline in the quantity of their meat over the past few months. The most disappointing thing is that they have become incredibly stingy with the meat. They used to give you a generous amount of shawarma, but now they only give you a handful of pieces. They obviously fill up the bowl with rice and sides to make up for the lack of meat. I've also noticed that the portions have gotten smaller overall. The bowls used to be overflowing with food, but now they're barely filled to the top. I am disappointed that Mezeh has gone downhill. I used to love their food, but now I can't justify paying for such a small amount of meat. I would only recommend Mezeh if you're looking for a heavy rice meal with light meat. Otherwise, there are much better restaurants in the area that give you more bang for your buck. read more

Excited that Mezeh has finally opened in St Mary's county! Staff was very friendly and ordering is relatively straight forward. I love having the options available on the side. The app won't let you order from here yet (7-31-2020) but I'm sure it will soon. Not sure how it has 4.5 stars, it's honestly not that great. We ordered 4 different meals all straight from the menu, no extras and no exceptions, it wasn't great. We tried this place for the first time yesterday. We came for lunch and ordered the Shawarma Heat bowl and the Very Veggie bowl. The employees were very friendly and helpful while ordering and creating the bowls. The bowls were huge, so much food and so filling. We loved all the fresh ingredients. It was perfect! I love Mediterranean food so I just had to try this restaurant. My first impression was it was very spacious clean and they were following all Covid protocol. The staff was very helpful with placing my order and the line moved very quickly. The food tasted as good as it looked and I couldn't get over for the attention to detail in the decor and for a semi fast food restaurant it was wonderful and refreshing. I got half falafel, half vegetable kefta and I liked the kefta better. Falafel is not the best, and the pita would've been better warm. Ordered two dinners from Mezeh via Doordash. Received only one of them. When I called Mezeh, they refused to help me; told me I had to communicate with Doordash. They were extremely rude about it. In the end, my wife and I split the one dinner we received, after paying for two dinners. For what it's worth, this is not the fault of Doordash - they only deliver what they are given by the restaurant.
