Woke up deciding we finally wanted to install an automatic garage door opener in our 2015 house. MG Garage was the only company to give a ballpark prior to an on-site estimate. Made a same day appointment and decided to install. Whole process only took 7 hours from first contact to install. The product has MG warranty (7 years) and works with smart phones. These guys just replaced our garage door and I can't recommend them highly enough! Leo came out the same evening we contacted them to give us an estimate. He was incredibly friendly, informative, and gave us a great price that beat every other bid we got. That was for an insulated door, which was an upgrade for us, and included replacing some of the track, the spring, some brackets, and adding weather seals. Nobody else came close to that level of value. Lucio came out a few days later to do the job and had it completely done in about 3 hours. Very friendly and professional and did great work. We had them come to install an existing garage door opener. I went with them because they had 5 stars here and quoted $125. I had the opener, but was missing a few little metal bits. When they came out and took a look, they quoted $250, or $450 if I wanted to buy an opener from them. I knew it would be a little more than quoted due to missing parts, but we're talking like $20 of screws and stuff on the outside, nothing to double the price. But I went with it to get it over with. They did get the job done, but I wouldn't use them again. The garage door slams shut with a loud thud every time. They installed it with the wires showing all on the ceiling, even though I had an existing hook-up for the opener that was installed before that which was wired through the walls. And the opener button is installed askew. Slapdash job at double the quoted price. read more

It is not a complaint or anything, just to provide more information for those who are a fan of transparency and fair pricing: - The technician inspected the faulty garage door - Recommended replacing the spring (only one), then seeing if we need a new opener. - Estimate $550 - $650 for one spring replacement with possible +$850 for the opener. - I decided NOT to go with their estimate since I recently had the same problem in another location which I fixed with much less. - After declining their proposal, I was asked to pay $19.99 for the technician's time and gas, which I paid since I respect people's time. However, the first message I received from the MG Garage in our communication was, "...We don't charge for service calls,our estimates are free..." I am not complaining; I just want to let you know it is not a free estimate. It is free only if you go with them; otherwise, you must pay. - Received a call from the owner a few minutes after I declined their estimate. The owner was a very nice guy over the phone. I explained the situation, and he said they could do it for $450. That sudden price drop was weird to me! The owner also told me that no one could do it cheaper than this in the area. I respect his opinion. - Contacted three more service providers with five-star ratings and over 70 reviews: they all gave an estimate ranging from $200 - $300 for one spring replacement. I had one of them over, replaced the spring for $225, and added a $30 tip. It is all taken care of now. - MG Garage claimed that their price is because it has a lifetime warranty. However, my first thought was: how can I trust you will be in this business for a lifetime? You are not the manufacturer, just an installer. Anyways, it was a personal decision to go with a proposal almost one-third of MG's offer, with six years warranty from a company with three times more five ratings than MG Garage, and having been in this business longer. We just had an awesome experience getting our garage door opener/motor replaced by MG Doors! I messaged them yesterday and was connected immediately to Ben who was able to give us a quote right away based on the photos we sent him. They stated they send somebody out the following day between 8:00am and 10:00am, on Easter, to replace the broken garage door spring and a second one as well.
