It did need repair; however, at a fraction of the cost at first place. The workmanship at Miner's Den was excellent. Also, if you need a watch battery, Miner's Den donates the charge to charity. I took a rosary in for a small repair and was told there wasn't a charge. They have gorgeous jewelry both new and estate pieces. Plus, every time I go in I'm greeted by a friendly employee right away and asked what I need.

First off, the woman helping us was extremely kind but basically kept telling me in a very beat around the bush type way that it wasn't worth resizing them and that they are fine as is. They quoted us around 220$ PER RING if we wanted them resized adding up to over 400$. I've never heard of such steep pricing for a resizing. I didn't agree with her recommendation considering i can barely get my rings on and off. We went elsewhere and ended up getting them resized for 80$ a piece, and to a more comfortable fit for my liking. Maybe miners den just didn't feel like doing it, I'm not sure but we won't be back based off this experience.

I specifically chose to support this local business but was left extremely disappointed and taken advantage of as a customer. Being asked to spend over $300 for a basic bracelet resize is unacceptable. There are other jewelers in the area that charge a fraction of the cost for the same service ($60-$70). I expected better customer service & a more reasonable solution. Would not recommend.

He saw me sitting on the bench waiting for my husband to get the car and pick me up. He took a minute from his job to help me to the car and be sure I was buckled in. I asked them how long they've been in business, also; they've been at this location for five years, but they used to be at 16 and Dequindre for 25 years before that. (so, needless to say, they know their craft!) Overall I would recommend this jeweler for your resizing needs, he said they do bands (custom bands, I'm guessing?) as well, and of course they have rings and other jewelry for sale too.

Working with Matthew at MHG Jewelry was an incredible experience from start to finish. I brought in two deeply sentimental family rings, my mom and dad's wedding rings which contained diamonds and gold that I wanted transformed into a completely custom legacy ring. What Matthew created exceeded anything I could have imagined. I provided Matthew with a couple of design suggestions and inspirations for the direction I hoped the ring would take, and from there he thoughtfully brought the piece to life with remarkable artistry and craftsmanship. What I appreciated most throughout the process was how collaborative and transparent he was during each step of the creative process. He shared photos and updates with me along the way, which made it incredibly exciting to watch the ring evolve from concept to reality. I was also able to stop in and try on the wax model during the process, which made the experience feel even more personal and immersive. The final piece is stunning! It is elegant, organic, balanced, and incredibly wearable. The flowing bypass design, mixed metals, bezel settings, milgrain detailing, and hand-finished textures came together beautifully. What began with Deco roots evolved into a Nouveau interpretation -- fluid, sculptural, and alive with movement. The ring has an heirloom quality that feels both antique and modern at the same time. What means the most to me is that Matthew honored the emotional significance of the original rings while creating something entirely new and uniquely mine. He even incorporated my parents' wedding date as a hidden inscription beneath the main bezel, thoughtfully placed within the structure of the ring itself so it could still be resized in the future without losing that deeply personal detail. Touches like that make it clear how much care, artistry, and consideration went into every aspect of this ring. This was not simply a redesign, it is a true work of art and a meaningful family heirloom that I will treasure forever. The level of communication, transparency, and care throughout the process was exceptional. I also found the pricing to be remarkably fair and reasonable for the amount of custom work, craftsmanship, artistry, and personal attention involved. The value of what I received far exceeded my expectations. I cannot recommend Matthew and MHG Jewelry highly enough for custom work, especially if you are looking to create something meaningful from family stones or inherited jewelry. Debbie R. you have a lot of nerve putting a review in for Matthew like that. Especially, when you were so very happy with the jewelry itself!! Matthews credentials are far above many other jewelers in the state. He is a small business owner and has worked on this business since he was a teenager. He is a true artist. When an artist makes something for you, you should give them the time they need. Besides the fact that I know he goes in order as to how the requests come in to his shop. The pandemic has made Matthew very busy and he is always fair with his time. People take these reviews seriously. These reviews can effect a persons business and lively hood. You should think twice next time and you should remove the review and apologize to Matthew. Especially, if you are wearing and enjoying what he made for you. Maybe go to Tappers next time. They will put up with your bullshit, but not this neighborhood. read more

They're going through some structuring of their Center displays. The owner, Brendan. He's had the shop here for 38 years. That's quite a long standing. I got five antique rings resized. $120 to resize each. Brendan said he should be able to finish them within a week, even though they're quite busy. He said that they will call me when it's done, but I can also check in if they don't call me in a week. The 5 rings fit perfectly now and look great. $600 to resize five rings, at a cost of $120 per ring for the resizing. He said two rings cracked during the laser process he used to resize them, was able to fix and solder them up to look perfect. Happy with his work.

I found Elements on yelp and checked out their website where I saw a video of the process they go through to make jewelry so I dropped in. Brendan was very kind and informative and made a process I knew nothing about really easy to understand. I gave him an idea of what we wanted and dropped off the raw materials I had on me to get my now fiancee's engagement ring and even my own wedding band. Since it was a unique gift I asked if I could come in to document the process to which he agreed. He first sent over mock-ups of the designs and answered any questions I had then had me come in when he was ready to melt down my "grandma-gold". That experience was pretty cool and huge thanks to Brendan for accommodating me. A week later it was ready for pick up and was perfect. It's been a while but thank you again Brendan and hope you and your loved ones were safe since I saw you last.

During that time, I found Metals in Time online, and stopped by the showroom. I worked with Emma to choose a ring for myself and also a middle stone. Sergio, the owner, was very helpful as well, and had me try on multiple rings. The one I liked was shaped differently then I preferred, so he customized the ring for me. For a 1-kt. (lab diamond) ring plus the matching wedding band, he offered us a very reasonable price. We liked Metals in Time so much that we had my fiance's custom wedding ring designed there too. He thought he wanted white gold, until he tried on a platinum ring and preferred the heaviness of that one more. He wanted a ring with lab diamonds and lab emeralds, and he brought Sergio a picture of a similar one online he liked. Sergio was able to design it to his specifications, and gave me a pretty good price on it, as well; I know platinum rings can sometimes be expensive. The best part is that Metals in Time is always reachable via text - we go in every six months to get our rings cleaned, as part of their warranty (the smaller stones are under warranty, as long as you stop by every six months), and I always text beforehand to ensure that the store will be open. Highly recommend this store if you are looking to purchase engagement or wedding jewelry. They also have a nice selection of watches and other jewelry, I've noticed.

So I worked with an amazing jeweler named Nick and his team at Infinity Jewelers USA. I looked at a lot of places however, I was happy with the service and how they treated me when I walked in the door. Nick was so patient with me as well because I kept debating between emerald and marquise as it was time to pick the final center stone setting. I came with an idea and less than a week later I had this beautifully customized ring. Usually I go for moissanite as I am not a diamond girl.
