    Chilaquiles
    Russ L.

Located outside the less touristy, east-end area of Zona Romantica. Gorgeous interior and the decor is chic. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, with no dinner service. Cash Only. I ordered Chilaquiles with 2 eggs over easy and cecina-beef. The food was good, but not great. It's was too much salsa sauce, it made the tortilla too soggy. I prefer mine with a crunch. The sauce and the beef was too salty for my taste. The service was efficient, friendly and welcoming. Price was higher than average.

5* Food great taste and presentation. Fried potatoes are the one of the most crispiest and tastiest i have ever eaten. 4.5* location: a bit of a walk and no outdoor seating but there are alot of fans. Tables are spaced out ok. 4.0 price. A bit high for mexico but quality is high. 5* waitstaff: efficient and courteous.

My family and I visited Mi Cafe while on vacation last week. We were there sometime 11:30am-12pm and the wait was only 10 minutes for a table of 5. The inside is so cute and inviting. They had a simple, clean interior. Now onto the food. Everything we ordered was delicious! We had the Pan Frances, chilaquiles verdes, and hotcakes. Everything was fresh and authentic. The drinks were also very good. Fresh orange juices and iced lattes really hit the spot and set us up to have an amazing rest of the day! Don't miss this place!

Probably our favorite breakfast we had on our trip. This restaurant is so cute inside. Waiters are attentive. I got an iced coffee and we both got the big breakfast plates. Everything was so tasty and we were soooooo full afterwards. I absolutely LOVED the French toast!

When we took a cooking class in PV, the chef mentioned that this was his favorite breakfast spot so when a chef says that, it must be true! Especially since we've been burned many times by tourist traps with 5 stars.... This place is off the beaten path but so good! Highly recommend the Mi Cafe breakfast and their omelettes are good too. The omelette comes with refried beans and chilaquiles! Which we had no idea it came with cause menu didn't state. So we ordered extra bacon thinking it wouldn't be enough food.

Mi Café breakfast. Can get pancakes instead of waffles.

We always make an effort to go there for breakfast once or twice......not expensive and you get a lot for your peso. I usually get the "Mi Café Breakfast" for about $11 cdn or $160 pesos

    Perfect brunch & lunch spot!

Mi Cafe is fantastic, time after time! The indoor venue is super comfortable, and adorably decorated with photos, and is usually pretty busy. They are a morning and lunch time spot with breakfast items available all day long. We've tried several items here and everything has been wonderful, both breakfast and lunch items. Some must tries are their fantastic breakfast plates, very generous portions, eggs cooked just the way you like (bacon too if you ask for crispy!), the pancakes are heaven, the crispy potato wedges also a yummy crunchy treat! The steak sandwich is my favorite, I ask for it medium, it's so so good, and the meat is tender and so flavorful, Caesar salad is fresh and very good, the green juice and orange juice prepared to order, service is always great, this is a perfect spot to meet up for a lavish brunch or lunch with something for everybody. Cash only, and they have an adorable cat who chills on the front step area who is very friendly. Love this spot!

CASH ONLY---Yummy! Delicious, would recommend. Everything was so tasty. There was a wait, it was full when we got there, but it was quick. I had the delish machaca. I wanted chilaquilles and my kids got that, but I saw the machaca came with the chilaquilles. I also tried the bistec with eggs and beans.. I was scared and it looked dry, but it was cool perfectly, and it was juicy. Everything was amazing. I will recommend, and will be back.

Our whole experience at Mi Cafe was nothing short of amazing! Upon arriving we were seated right away. The place was very busy so the host gave us two available options to choose from. The coffee was delicious! I would opt out of getting cold coffee unless you're down with iced diluted coffee (def not a cold brew) but nonetheless my husband enjoyed his cold refreshing drink. Our food was brought out about 8-10 mins after we ordered. It was flavorful, fresh, and crispy. The waiter was very observant and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. If you're a variety kind of gal get the mi cafe breakfast pictured. It gives you the choice of pancakes, waffles, or French toast. You then have the option of choosing how you like 2 eggs, fruit and yogurt, bacon, & potato wedges on the side. It's a balance of different textures with sweet and salty. It was all so delicious and well cooked. My husband ordered chilaquiles divorciadas which were also a hit but the green salsa was better than the red. My experience was 5/5 his was 4/5 because of the coffee but his food + tasting mine made up for it. The bathrooms are nice and clean and everyone is all so friendly. When in PV this place is a must try! Put it on your itinerary.

What a great find. We were tipped off by a local and we are much appreciative for that. We've had breakfast here every morning since we got here and it just gets better and better. We haven't had anything that wasn't delishioso lol great friendly attentive staff that understands English whew lol zero complaints here. The FRENCH TOAST is SO good and I'm not a big sweet eater in the am but it's some of the best I e EVER had!! Great coffee, yummy bagels with fresh fruit, it's just an amazing find. So good, if your in the area this is a must!!

This place is great. Food is amazing.

Plenty of fresh and crunchy veggies, though light on the chicken, which was in big cubes, not small chunks. Coconut rice was bland with no discernible coconut flavor. Margs were tasty and presented nicely. Service was prompt, polite, and attentive. Recommend they add an Asian beer of two to the menu, such as Singha or Tsingtao and spice up the food more.

Thai food in Mexico, don't mind if we do!…read more Siam Cocina Thai was our first sit down meal on a Friday night. We were greeted as soon as we stepped in and guided to a table of our choice. The ambiance was perfect for dinner. Great lighting, awesome spaced out layout and still very intimate. I noted a lot of their vegetarian, vegan and even gluten free options on the menu as well as all the beverage options. We shared a bottle of mineral water and enjoyed a classic mojito (para mi) and cerveza (for him). I definitely eyed over their curry, noodles, plates, stir frys, soups, salads and appetizers but ultimately settled on some impressionable Yellow Curry w/ Tofu and a side of rice. It was so unique in flavor compared to curry back in California or even other countries I've visited... Definitely a bit of PV flare! Our server was very attentive, especially during the first half of our Siam experience. All the staff was kind, friendly and personable. Quality service + quality eats = can't beat! The decor is a blend of many inflections of Thai culture with trace amounts of Puerto Vallarta, especially in the floor patterns, tables and color palette. Restrooms are clean, easy to use and just based the bar/main register area toward the back center of Cocina Thai. We didn't have any sort of wait as it was the weekend before Beef Dip and not on a holiday. They do take reservations on their website online as well as via telephone. SCT gets busy for event weeks/weekends and major dine out holidays like Valentines, but generally is pretty easy to get seated and enjoy.

I ordered off of the restaurant week menu while my SO opted to order off of the regular one. He started with the calamari, which was quite good. Nice and light breading and not overcooked. We sampled the papaya salad (one of the best I've ever tasted), coconut fried rice with yellow curry, drunken noodles with shrimp and mango sticky rice. This was my first time trying mango sticky rice and I'm glad I did it here because Mexico has such excellent mangos. It was fantastic and is now a new favorite. The curry rice was also delicious but for me, was a lot of food, which is not a bad thing. A great value actually since I got three meals out of it! They also serve margaritas by the pitcher, which is literally illegal in the ridiculous state we are from so we were very excited at this option. The full pitcher was a bit much for 2 but my friends, not to worry! They do a half pitcher!!! Our server was so nice and did a great job. Food came out very quickly as well. Everything was packaged well (lids taped on, sauce servings with lids, wrapped in cling film. The food was tasty. While I was not much more than 5 minutes back to the hotel, the egg rolls were soggy. The sweet and sour sauce for them was very good, great flavor and not overly thick. I asked for the curry to be hot, but not too hot, it was pretty mild. Definitely worth giving it a shot when you're looking to switch things up. Like most of PV, it was good and it was spendy (about 1,400 MXD for 2 mains, combination fried rice and 3 pork egg rolls + 1 lemonade).
