    Do not believe the sign

We have spent over 700 USD during our vacation. We have always enjoyed it. Great service, decent food. We stopped in for happy hour today. We even asked the hostess if it was happy hour. Yes! Until 4! The large sign outside says 2-for-1. No fine print or anything. Imagine our surprise when the bill came and we were charged full price!!! The server then told us it is only for Sangria and Lime Margaritas. NOWHERE did it say that! We are leaving so disappointed. Next year, we will skip Riviera. Seems dishonest and I feel tricked.

Breakfast started with fresh pastries straight out of the oven, including the delightful "Conchita" [shell-shaped] dusted in chocolate. Décor is abundantly colorful, and there's a children's play area and trampoline, and staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The eggs Benedict looked beautiful with a hand-flamed melted cheese over the eggs and was delicious.

This place is a hidden gem! It had great atmosphere, such cute decore, especially at night with all the string lights. The food was some of the best we had in PV! The service was great as well, our server was attentive and made great food suggestions. We were staying in Paradise Village and were able to walk there, it's just a straight shot all the way down the street, you can't miss it. The walk was so nice too! My elderly parents were able to do the walk no problem! My parents shared the molcajete, which definitely had enough food in it for both of them. It comes in a volcanic rock molcajete that keeps the food HOT (like boiling hot) the entire time you're enjoying it! I ordered something the waiter recommended based on my craving for fish, (the fish wrapped in pepper leaf) the fish was tender and fresh, the veggies so colorful and crisp. The presentation here is the cherry on top! They really now how to make it look good! A dinner like this would cost twice as much (if not more) back home. HIGHLY recommend this place! Especially if you're staying in Nuevo Nayarit / Nuevo Vallarta / Riviera Nayarit.

Splurged on my fav - Pacific lobster. It was grossly undercooked in parts and overcooked in others. I explained the error & they graciously tried again - when I got it back, it was the same lobster- the undercooked parts were well done and the previously overcooked parts were inedible. I pointed this out to waiter. He disappeared w/ the plate & said "just a minute." I never heard from him again & finally begged for the check. Upon paying, I confirmed he understood the error w/ the lobster and he assured me he did. No effort to bring me something else or rectify the situation was made. I paid $100 for an inedible lobster. Our other food was familiar- cooked well. Drinks were not as well done or large as they had been in October and May. So disappointed!

Just a special place in Nuevo where you can dine in such a pretty environment. The menus are ample with lots of meal choice for breakfast. Brunch, lunch or Dinner. There are yummy creative cocktails to choose from as well. We have enjoyed countless breakfasts here and never been disappointed. The coffee is so tasty. We had a lovely dinner here tonight enjoying the live music, play area for your children, and the attention to service. I had the riviera Raman and my husband has the fresh fish veracruziana. So good!

There's nothing else quite like Mexican warmth and hospitality! Located in a quiet hotel district this open air restaurant is classy and modern. There is even a children's play area which is much appreciated for those of us who've had little ones and the challenges of going out to dine. What we had: Guacamole comes with salsa and little cheese cubes and just the right amount of tartness for two people to share. I had the catch of the day from the specials which was a Mahi Mahi wrapped in a local leaf and guava and citrus sauce, served on top of creamed cauliflower and fresh local vegetables. I think the leaves are an acquired taste, it's quit strong and floral like and tough to chew. The veggies were cooked perfectly but I got mostly the baby carrot tops? The creamed cauliflower was the first for me but was delicious! Hubby had the ahi tuna with a side of slaw made with jicama and apples, it was delicious and perfectly seared and just warmed through. No drinks for us but they had a large selection of them as well as non alcoholic bevies too. Prices are reasonable or at least comparable to any other better eatery.

    Crab cake. It was okay.

We stopped here around 8:00 on a Sunday night. We were just about the only table in the restaurant, which is unfortunate considering how beautifully decorated the place is. Because if that, we got great service, from not one but about three different waiters. We started with the crab cake, which was okay but I've certainly had better. Honestly, the breading was so thick and the crab cake itself was so thick, it could very well have been frozen. For mains, we got the coconut shrimp and the surf and turf. The garlic shrimp on the surf and turf was delicious, as was the coconut shrimp. The mashed potatoes tasted a bit pasty, but good nevertheless. This is an okay option in Nuevo Vallarta on your way to or from the airport or Nayarit, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here.

Food is excellent! If you come around 7pm, they have live music. The whole place is a total vibe. So colorful and friendly. Service is great. Food is delicious and drinks are flowing. So good, we came twice. Would recommend over and over.

We had reservations for 6:30 and showed up on time. Reservations at that time are not necessary as the restaurant is large in size and gets busy on about 1.5 hours. Ordered calamari to start and it was very good and large in size although the curry sauce is just okay. Ordered a Smokey Mezcalita and it was fantastic For dinner got the tuna and it was perfect and seared to perfection. Wife had the Mahi-mahi and it also was good. Daughter had chicken nuggets and fries even though it is not on the menu. Will come back for sure

Went here this week. Small, funky place with lots of seafood options and good steaks. Friendly staff. Mojitos were a bit sour. We checked a menu online before heading there & it looked like there were options for 10 & 8 year old and it has a play area. There were only 2 kid food items (hamburger and chicken nuggets). We asked if pasta was an option because we saw it in a previous kids menu online and they did make it for us. My other kid ordered an adult steak.

Great food but the live music is the absolute selling point!!

Live music, plays structure, great food, I absolutely recommend. Loved the live music. Great ambiance

The place has a following, so I don't feel bad about giving this review for only three stars (I'm an easy grader). I enjoyed the vibe, and the service was good. The crowd is 60+. Mostly expats. I was underwhelmed and honestly, disappointed by the food, unfortunately. I had very high expectations, given the recommendation. The fare is midwestern US with attempts toward flavor. Believe me I know what I'm talking about because I grew up in a food desert in the American Midwest. It's not Mediterranean. The meats are all undercooked (although they warn you) with liberal use of butter, salt, and cheese throughout. This is like an Olive Garden. I enjoyed my dinner with friends, but won't return unless it's to the cute store.
