Nice venue but absolutely horrible food. Very good service;however.Frankly, I have no idea as to why it's crowded.

I arrived promptly at 6pm when they opened and was told by Suzy (the hostess), they were waiting for me! She offered many seating options (in/outside, table, or booth) which I appreciated. I settled on a small table outside with a pool and ocean view. She asked if I had food allergies and let me know my server Ricardo was OTW. I had looked over the menu already so I knew I wanted the Miso glazed Seabass, fried rice, and spring rolls. All was great however I thought the sea bass would really have a GLAZE (like at Truluck's), but it didn't an had a kick to it. I still enjoyed it and left full. I wouldn't mind returning but I'd sit inside and it would be nice to have not so many people greet my table. Ricardo was there each and ever time a coarse or drink came to the table. Then I had a "presenter" Victor, who placed and described each coarse as well as Veronica who assisted Ricardo and bagged my meal. Plus another gentleman who refilled my water. Geez!I guess being overly taken care of is better than no one at all! Word to the wise, don't consider the prices of each item when budgeting for your meal if looking on Open Table. I did that and was taken back when I got my bill. The NEW prices, are not updated on OT. Also, there is a 10% service charge ALREADY added to your bill so no need to tip if you don't want.

My first dish arrived I decided to go to edamame it was a soggiest piece of shit I've ever had! Then I ordered another dish guess what tasted like my grandma's asshole. Don't recommend unless you want horrible food.

I ordered off of the restaurant week menu while my SO opted to order off of the regular one. He started with the calamari, which was quite good. Nice and light breading and not overcooked. We sampled the papaya salad (one of the best I've ever tasted), coconut fried rice with yellow curry, drunken noodles with shrimp and mango sticky rice. This was my first time trying mango sticky rice and I'm glad I did it here because Mexico has such excellent mangos. It was fantastic and is now a new favorite. The curry rice was also delicious but for me, was a lot of food, which is not a bad thing. A great value actually since I got three meals out of it! They also serve margaritas by the pitcher, which is literally illegal in the ridiculous state we are from so we were very excited at this option. The full pitcher was a bit much for 2 but my friends, not to worry! They do a half pitcher!!! Our server was so nice and did a great job. Food came out very quickly as well. We had a great time at Archie's Wok and it has been added to our list of musts when in PV.

I ordered take out since the wife wanted to stay in. Pork egg rolls, Mongolian curry beef, almond chicken and fried rice. I had a lemonade while I was waiting. Everything was packaged well (lids taped on, sauce servings with lids, wrapped in cling film. The food was tasty. While I was not much more than 5 minutes back to the hotel, the egg rolls were soggy. The sweet and sour sauce for them was very good, great flavor and not overly thick. I asked for the curry to be hot, but not too hot, it was pretty mild. Definitely worth giving it a shot when you're looking to switch things up. Like most of PV, it was good and it was spendy (about 1,400 MXD for 2 mains, combination fried rice and 3 pork egg rolls + 1 lemonade).

The Asian chicken soup was deeply comforting and flavorful; light yet incredibly satisfying. The tuna poke was beautifully presented and spot-on with flavor; fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. Then came the chicken Alfredo... and wow. Rich, creamy, indulgent, and honestly one of the best we've ever had. Do not skip the hibiscus agua fresca (called Jamaica in Mexico); refreshing, slightly tart, and the perfect companion to the meal. My hubbs even said that if he had to choose one restaurant in Puerto Vallarta as his favorite, Mi Café would be it for its consistency and value. Charming ambiance, thoughtful presentation, and genuinely warm service make Mi Café an easy recommendation. We'll absolutely be back.

It wasn't a place that would indulge your weakness for gluttony. That was fine by me and Jamie W since we were looking for something tasty but not excessive for breakfast. We were in luck because we found such a place in Mi Cafe. We thought we'd have to wait a while for a table, but fortunate for us, a table opened up just as we entered what looked to be quite a popular restaurant. Jamie went for the MX$165 Popeye Eggs, a pair of scrambled eggs laid on a bed of fresh spinach leaves, ladled with ranchero sauce, and presented with avocado, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and crispy bacon strips (Photo 10). The freshness of the ingredients really enhanced the flavors of the dish. The same could be said about my order, the MX$165 Vegetarian Omelette which was a fluffy two-egger filled with zucchini, red onion, spinach, and sliced mushrooms accompanied by seasoned potato wedges and a fresh fruit cup (Photo 9). No toast needed as the plates were quite satisfying on their own.
