It's was a large portion and very tasty. The restaurant is deep down Aquiles Serdan which is mostly outside the touristy area and known well to locals. Service from the owner was excellent. Best food in/near the Romantico Zone! Attentive and friendly service, food beautifully prepared, generous portions, and delicious! Even as simple as a turkey sandwich was presented with real carved roasted turkey meat and was the best turkey sandwich I've had. The pasta alfredo was perfectly prepared and the Asian soup/broth was done right with glass noodles and rich flavors. This is one of my go to places for breakfast while I'm in PVR. The have a lot of great options on their menu, but I usually get the Mi Cafe breakfast, which is always delicious. The staff are very friendly and Covid-compliant (they check your temperature at the door and provide hand santizer). I also like that it is tucked away, it feels as if you're in another place, away from the heat and hustle of downtown. I suggest coming here early during the weekends since it isn't that big of a place. read more

We wanted to find a new breakfast spot in PV's Old Town so we wandered a bit off the beaten path to this neighborhood gem. I really like the creative dishes on the menu - not just bacon and eggs. I had a bagel with prosciutto, pesto, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese - it was delicious! Coffee and fresh-squeezed juice were also good. Our Airbnb host recommended this breakfast/lunch spot and it is such a wonderful find. The food is incredible (we've gone the last three mornings and will plan on coming back the remainder of our stay). Our absolute favorite dish has been the Divorced eggs (red and green sauce with a little bit of their chiliquiles). We've had the avocado, ham, and cheese omelet(sooomuch ham super awesome crisp potato wedges and the bread is to die for!) Rojas Poblanos (a decadent, creamy delight), the two egg breakfast with bacon, huevos rancheros, and their coffee and latte games are spot on. We've spied their salmon and bagel (looked delicious) and their burger (also really tasty looking). The service is excellent and friendly - the music is great but if you come at the right time you will have a gentleman play a xylophone for tips (he's great, his grandkids will join him to hang out occasionally). read more

Have been waiting for this place to reopen in their enlarged space...however, very disappointed by our experience this morning...permanent residents here, count Mi Cafe as one of our favorite breakfast places...walked up, told we were third to be seated, after two larger groups...then when a group was seated who had arrived after us, we asked why? We discovered this wonderful little, off-the-beaten path restaurant on one of our ambitious morning strolls south of the River Cuale. It's several blocks E of the upper highway bridge over the river, on Fco. I. Madero just after you cross Naranjo. The food is fresh and wonderfully prepared, the service is personal and the price is right. An added bonus is getting to know that neighborhood, whether it's one of the best food markets in town, Suzie-the-stylist on the little road fronting the river, or the butcher that trims meat to order on Aquiles Serdan near Insurgentes. read more

This is a review of the service not the food. This eatery is off the beaten track a bit not in amongst the main eating/drinking places. We ate here before and it was great but the older gentleman who seemed to be running the establishment wasn't too friendly. Efficient but not very welcoming. Unlike somewhere like Azul Bistro who make you feel like family. I left a separate review for them. Back to grumpy guy: this second time we arrived at 8:40am for breakfast. They have (from memory) 24 seats available: 7 for couples (5 in a long row) a 6 and a 4. There were 4 couple seats taken, one by a single person so 7 people. Not busy at all. We asked to sit at the 4 seater as the other couple seats are right next to each other, literally a foot apart so you feel like you are all sitting at a long table together. We only ever ask to do this if a place is quiet. Again, we are not idiots and would never ask to do this if the place was packed, like Pancho's Tacos for example which always had a line of 20 people outside when we passed it. The old gentlemen pops his head to look out into the street, there were no other people anywhere, and he said we could only have the table if we were 4 people. By that thinking you would not let a single person sit at a couples table right? And also the other time we were there was twice as busy and there were 2 people sitting at the same 4 seat table we requested! This makes no sense at all. It's a shame the service is not up to par as the food was great but as I mentioned before there are far too many fantastic places in PV to eat that have wonderful staff so we will stick to where we know better from now on. I very rarely write a bad review as I know some people work very hard at these restaurants but this was unacceptable. My advice is to pass. read more

I've tried a number of restaurants for breakfast here in Puerto Vallarta but I stopped looking after breakfast here. Fresh fruit served with every plate, darn good coffee and very affordable. Muy Rico! Everything here is so fresh, and prepared so well. I had the goat cheese salad with grilled chicken. Delicious! My husband had the Mi Cafe burger.
