Definetly the top Mexican diner in town. Food comes fast and flavorful. My first time going was actually very disappointing, got the tropical fajitas because I've had it at other places and usually love it, but this one was just not very flavorful and the ingredients weren't combined well (loved the half-pineapple surging plate though, very fun). Friends kept saying I just got unlucky and that I need to go back and try something else and they were absolutely right! My next trip I wanted something acidic and bright with a meat and veggie presence instead of the typical rice, beans, and a dab of some ground beef or chicken. Almost settled for something like that but then saw the Burrito Ranchito and it was INCREDIBLE. Pico, avocado, steak, and onions were exactly what I wanted that night and it came out just as delicious as I was expecting. Tried it a couple times since, including one trip where we all ordered the California Burrito partly because it was funny and partly because it was a great price for a standard Mexican grill plate. Great tasting food and excellent service! My wife ordered the Fajita Quesadilla. She loved it! The combination of the vegetables and the perfectly cooked chicken blended to create a tasty meal. There were too many dishes that enticed me so, with the servers help I settled on the Pollo Chipotle. She picked a winner! The chicken was nicely spiced and the sauce was delicious. I had eaten my salsa down and discovered a long piece of hair. I actually pulled out in front of the waiter and he just shrugged his shoulders and brought a new Salsa. He did not try to accommodate me in any way. When I asked for some type of discount he reported "no". Also after ordering a tequila flight and discovering after the fact that it was $35.99 I asked what kind of alcohol was in it and I was told Lunazol. Bottom shelf alcohol for $35.99. My drinks never went past the half way mark without being filled, we always had fresh chips on our table, and the waiter checked on us frequently. Arrived in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday and was seated quickly. The inside is pretty cool with a Mexican party theme and decorations. I was surprised there were not more yelp reviews and pictures, so I went on Google and they have a ton. The food is really good from beginning to end, and have no complaints. This was our first time here and we both agreed to come back. The service was awesome, different people came by to check on us brought more chips and salsa and offered fresh limes. You're lucky if they get the one guy who does, to come help handle the request and 70% of the time he forgets to come back with said item and the wait staff never brings it either. Ok, so I had high hopes for this place as I'd read multiple rave reviews on local food pages. I probably won't return unless it's to drink as their cocktail menu looked great. I was there with my young son so I ordered a tea for him and water for myself and the waiter returned w tea for us both and seemed confused when I explained I wanted water. Fine, it's a Mexican restaurant I get he may not be fluent in English. I ordered a basic small margarita with salt. Again looked confused and a second man came over clearly English proficient and asked what sort of margarita I wanted, I said standard small margarita w just salt, he said gotcha and a few minutes later a small margarita with like 5 different fruits on the rim and no salt was delivered. Ok cool. I was hoping to see some Birria on the menu- maybe I missed it, but I looked a couple times with no luck. My carnitas came and it was half the size that I'd get at another local establishment at the same price. I didn't enjoy the flavor of the carnitas but it was fine, just not a fan- it's usually my favorite dish. My son got the kids chicken fingers with rice which came out w fries and the waiter noticed immediately and fixed the error. But the "chicken fingers" were still nuggets, no matter. It seems like a pretty hopping spot and the waiter was attentive despite his initial issues which I'm sure were more language barriers than anything else. This is possibly the best Mexican Restaurant we have been to! Delicious homemade table side quacamole, and the staff is always hustling to make sure everyone is taken care of. My personal favorite is the Chile Releno', the meat served with it and the other choices like , taco, burrito, enchilada, etc., is very tasty. We drive from Moyock, and have had no regrets, and every one we have brought there has agreed with the above. Their margarita is my Wife's favorite and only takes one to put a smile on her beautiful face! I do want to defend some reviews based on the language barrier, we have had to make sure they understand us sometimes, but this is much better than going to Mexico and cheaper, those people would not complain if they were there. Most can fluently speak two languages, can you? For those who cited this Go to "Taco Bell" and that way we can get seated earlier to enjoy the "authenticity" and culture that produces such a wonderful experience. read more
