This casual Mexican restaurant is a busy place every night, but esp on the weekends. They have large indoor and outdoor seating areas. The food and service are very good. The complementary chips and salsa are excellent. I have never ordered an appetizer. My favorite entrees are the combination fajitas and the custom enchiladas. There are chicken, steak, shredded beef, shrimp and pork carnitas to choose from. Also various sauces for the enchiladas. The tacos are very good, with many to choose from. A must is their red sangria and margaritas. The kitchen is small, so when it is crowded there is a wait after you order. But the staff keeps bringing the chips and salsa. Be careful not to fill yourself up before the entrees come. There is plenty of parking, you just may need to drive to the other side of the strip center. read more

This place was our favorite Mexican joint near home. I had the pork with Chile verde "sauce"...wow. Zero sauce with it and a bunch of fat. It took 20 minutes to get drinks. Hour plus start to finish. Tough to say we will be back after being loyal customers for 4 years. read more

So when my husband first suggested Mi Casa I said "yea that's fine" but wasnt super crazy about it. Boy was I wrong ! We walked in and were greeted immediately. The restaurant was pretty packed so we were lucky to get a table in the bar section right away. The chips were warm and salsa was delicious. I ordered the carne guisada with corn tortillas and charro beans. Wow! I was a lil surprised as to how delicious it was. Flavorful and very filling! I ended up taking some home with me .... I couldn't just let them throw it away. It was too good! I also had a margarita on the rocks which was pretty tasty. My husband orders the Al Pastor tacos.... he said they pretty good and he'd definitely order them again. He had a frozen margarita and enjoy every bit. Our bill was right under $40 ..... totally affordable and a delicious meal! Our service was excellent and the murals got out attention and sparked some conversation. Well first time having Mexican food in Florida. Service was a bit slow and attentiveness of waitress was really lacking. Took a solid 20mins of waiting for acknowledgment that we were waiting for a check. Had the chicken taco dinner with guac. Tacos were pretty good, big portions. One table in bar area and one outside. They told us they were to busy to seat us in the bar or outside. We waited 15 minutes while they seated three other tables on the other side of the restaurant. Rude hostess. We watched her answer the phone by picking it up and hanging up. Never answered. I'd skip this place. Don't trust this place with your food! I ordered a chicken quesadilla for pickup and was notified that the order was going to take more than an hr. I tried calling to cancel but no one answered , so I went there myself to cancel the order. The employee told me that it was only going to take a few more minutes, just to recieve a plain cheese quesadilla. The restaurant still wanted to get paid so in order to make my quesadilla quickly , they decided to make me a cheese quesadilla and blame it on doordash for me receiving the wrong order. What a nice find here in Riverview. In these trying times of COVID 19, I'm going to make it my mission to review the local businesses that have made me happy thus far. I have only eaten at Mi Casa once. It was the day we closed on our new home in Riverview. 3 days later all hell broke loose. My Brother ordered a quesadilla, my husband ordered a fajita and really I'm pretty unforgiving if you can't make a taco and you're a Mexican place, so to really gauge their handle on flavor and heat I always go wicked basic and get street tacos. Mi Casa had exceptional street tacos! My husband and brother enjoyed their choices too (so much I wasn't invited to share a bite). We all shared a yummy flan for desert. Our waiter/host was attentive, polite and even allowed us to sit outside when no one was out there yet. I can't wait for this "social distancing" to run its course I enjoyed the atmosphere and long to enjoy it again. Mi Casa may be doing take out right now but I'm housebound with asthma and while I'd love me a trip to Mi Casa, I'm staying home for my safety and the safety of others. read more

We decided to visit one of the local Mexican spots near home. When we initially walked in and opted to sit at the bar, the female bartender never acknowledged us ( name unknown). Maybe it was the end of her shift but unacceptable . We contemplated walking out, but relocated to the table top in the bar area. Crystal came over and took our drink and food order. The food was tasty and better than some of the area spots. We will try to come again and hopefully we will not run in to the same issue. I have had many items from burrito's, taco's, to quesadilla's and it's all tasty! You can dine in the bar area at a high top table, outside on the patio, or in the main dining room. There is sometimes a wait on weekends or during peak dining hours, which is expected for any popular restaurant. He greeted us with so much energy and the biggest smile on his face. He knew every answer for the questions we asked right off the top of his head. I always order the same thing when I come here. Cheese enchiladas are my favorite! The place is very themed and they have music playing over speakers. The downside is that this place is very cramped. I enjoyed Mi Casa for a long time until I had a bad experience. My husband and I were sharing a combo fajita (chicken and beef). The beef I ate was good but the chicken had a weird taste (kind of raw or rotten). We reported to the waiter who called the manager. After moving here over the summer I have had dinner here on many occasions. There is plenty of parking available as you arrive. The staff have always been friendly. This restaurant is very popular among the locals. If you arrive on the weekend be prepared to wait. When you are seated they will give you of warm basket of delicious chips and salsa. They are extremely generous with the chips & salsa, they will bring as many as you want. The salsa is really good. It's not too spicy! The food is delicious. We have tried many things on the menu. I have always found the serving size to be plenty big and the prices reasonable. They also have a bar if you'd like a cocktail. I love their sangria! They also have buy one get one margaritas. They have separate seating in the bar area if you'd like as well as a nice outdoor patio seating area. The restaurant is always clean and has a nice Mexican motif. I came here for lunch with coworkers after a volunteer event. The restaurant is pretty clean and very spacious. I liked that they have indoor and outdoor seating. I am soooo disappointed with this place because I thought I was going to celebrate cinco De Maya by myself in their restaurant. But when I walked in and said just one that was a problem. The person in front seating people told me give her five minutes which ended up being 30 minutes and I was the only one in there at the time. I didn't get seated they were seating people way before me that came in after me. Then when I approach them about it they look like they had no clue. I told them if they don't have a seat for one person just let me know and I will leave. They looked around at each other acting confused like they were looking for a table and still couldn't find one for me to sit down to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Another table that has not been seated asked if I wanted to sit with them but I didn't want to interrupt their celebration with there family. I don't know if it's because I am afro American or if they had no tables for just one or just stupid but all money is good money and they still should've seated me.
