Food is mid just like the service of sani dental. No flavor and the staff don't care, also just like sani dental. The whole Plaza is owned by sani dental so your services here are all basically the same. Safe but not the best. If you get work done at sani they will recommend this place. the hotel they put you in will also recommend this restaurant like it's the best spot in town. They have a lot of friends of the company that hang out nearby that seem like random people passing by who will also recommend this place. DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!! The food here is so basic and flavorless. My food was microwaved to be served to me. You know how when you slightly over microwave something and there's a dry crust that forms on the edges of the meal? That's how my food was served to me. The workers and friends of sani will talk sani business up like it's the best spot in town. I tried all their services, dental, medical, pharmacy, mi casa. If you don't do your research like me and buy into all the advertising and word of mouth they spend so much money on, you end up with sani. All the workers were chatting and on their phone. Constantly in and our of the store. They could care less about your enjoyment of the meal. Just like the dental office next door they just treat you like cattle moving you along. I wish I never signed up with sani once I got to the border. you will realize how little research you did once you get here and talk with the other people getting dental work. If you signed with sani I suggest you don't and come here for an extra day before doing your dental work and talk to the other people visiting here also for similar services as you to figure out a better dentist, hotel, and restaurant to eat at. You will see a very black and white picture of the town and sani. That's what you want to make your decision with the correct dentist! Because once you sign with sani, your whole trip will be sani. sani will suck you into all their world of services which are all mid because it's in their best interest. Their recommendations are all insincere. with workers who are just going through the motions without care for you. Do yourself a favor and go check out the many other BETTER dental spots, hotels, pharmacies, and restaurants. Because sani will only give you the basics. There's so much better food and services for the same amount of money you spend with sani. Don't buy into all the good reviews of the services in the Plaza. It's all fake! They bought all the reviews for their business or had their many friends and families review all their businesses. Ask anyone else in town and they will tell you how much money sani spends on advertising and how sani is viewed in town. If you don't believe me just come eat at this restaurant and see! read more

Food is decent nothing outstanding. Not sure why the food is served at room temperature. Maybe because if you've had dental work you may not want really hot temperature food? The taste is not spicy at all. I think they're probably cooking for palates that don't want anything too spicy. I came here for breakfast and dinner because it seemed like a safe bet and it was. Service: servers take their time here. You gotta be patient to say the least. I wanted a refill for my coffee and I realized it wasn't going to happen so I got up and asked the bartender since my actual waiter never bothered to come ask me if everything was all right after he dropped off my food. Ambiance: the restaurant is very pretty with nice touches throughout. The patio outside is quite lovely offering a really nice view from the second floor of this building. There are chairs and small tables and if the weather is right it affords nice views. If you are staying at the hotel next door this restaurant is very convenient. Prices are very reasonable. Food has no flavor. Coffee tastes like colored water. Little service. Waiter didn't check on us or was friendly and welcoming. We had to hunt him down each time we needed service. This is not the Mexican hospitality i am used to. Being from California we-are use to good Mexican food. To be fair, the flavorless food is everywhere here. Even the guacamole was bland in another location. I had to ask for cilantro and hot sauce so i could make it taste better. Very disappointed so far. The corona beers were good!! read more

Stopped in for a quick breakfast bite. The menu was very affordable no dish was over five dollars. I ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, red chilaquiles with eggs and a side of hash, pancakes with eggs, and waffle with eggs and a side of hash brown . Staff was very friendly and attentive, the pace itself was really homestyle vibes felt like I was at a relatives house. Would definitely be stopping by the next time I visit. read more

Food was delicious. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes. I had the Bomba Azteca, which was like taco salad, flavorful. Chips and salsa were picoso. Most importantly, they have a full bar, I had 2 shots of Don Julio and my wife and a Cadillac Margarita. read more

Recovering from a 3 hour double root canal at the very professional and competent Drs Nidia and Pabel, I took an early afternoon nap at the Hotel California (I'll update if they let me leave). When I went to sleep at 1:30 there was a line of cars miles long patiently waiting to cross the border. When I awoke there was a dog lying in the middle of the road and no cars, no people, no anything. Maybe all of the exuberant hawkers and street vendors all live in Yuma? I asked a man selling cold drinks where a restaurant was after already finding 3 of my daytime favorites locked down for the night (6:30pm). He said "Mi Casa Tus Casa two blocks!" I walked the two lonely block where two cars came by and suddenly see an impressive building with a cow statue in a nice plaza in front. As I walked up the stairs, a friendly host opened the door and said "Hello". First impression was that this place is going to be nice. It did not disappoint. The staff is friendly, accommodating and attentive. I have fish tacos and French fries which were excellent! I also had tortilla soup. I am not a soup person, but the flavorful excellence in a bowl won me over. My delicate mouth was ready to sacrifice itself for such a fragrant masterpiece. My drink choice was carrot juice (they even have green juice). Did I like the place? Did I enjoy it? Will I be coming here during future visits to Algodones (World Capital of Dentist, Optometrists and Pharmacies)? You bet I will. This menu needs further exploration by my entertained taste buds. Well the drinks were good and reasonably priced and the restaurant interior and atmosphere is nice so I gave them a star for each of those... the food on the other hand was awful. I ordered a big burrito which is a flank steak burrito with cheese lettuce and tomatoes. I took a bite and the flavor was terrible. I actually gagged on it and it was all I could do to get it down without outright spitting it back on the plate. I'm pretty sure the meat was just on the border of going rancid or at least that is what it tasted like. I had the waiter take it away. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken tacos. The meat did not look like or have the texture of any chicken we've ever eaten. It was a dark brown color and we thought it was pork. The waiter swore it wasn't pork though. Beyond the weird meat there was no flavor other then the crunchy taco shell. Like completely bland. He took a bite and I tried it and it wasn't worth eating. We said we'd pay for the 4 drinks but the waiter said oh you can't do that and they charged us for the terrible food that we had taken 3 bites of anyway. Fortunately the food prices were cheap so it wasn't that big a deal so we just paid the bill and left. read more

Good selection of food, vegetarian and meat. Coupons everywhere for a free margarita or beer with US$6 purchase. I had the grilled arrachera steak for US$13 with rice instead of guacamole. It was a thin cut of skirt steak, similar to flank but more flavourful, very nicely marinated and grilled. Speed of service was similar to American restaurants (~10 minutes), but I've gotten used to the quick service of other Mexican restaurants. The decor is very fancy, with high-backed wooden chairs. Lots of seating and it would be great for a large group. I'm sure this place will be packed in the winter. You can get your free, giant bowl margarita either blended or on the rocks. read more

We were dropped off exhausted after dental work and not eating all day to be told by a man inside we needed to leave as they were closed escorted us out and we had to walk ourselves back to our hotel as our ride had left. We ate here 4 times in our 3 day visit. The food was excellent. I had the Papillo Fish and it was so tasty I had it a 2nd time. With my food intolerances and a dental issue it solved all those issues on top of being extremely tasty and well prepared. Definitely recommend. read more

Fairly good food it is little pricey for Algodones but if you're concerned about the hole in the wall places this would be good for you. We had a couple of different platters, drinks(sodas) and chips/Salsa the bill was just under $20.00. I can do that same thing at most HITW placecs for under $10.00. I really liked this place. For special occasions or if you want an elegant restaurant this place fits the bill. I had a caesar salad with chicken it was very good as you would expect a fine restaurant to be. My friends all reported they were happy with their meal, too. Mi Casa Su Casa is part of what looks like a new plaza. The courtyard is beautiful and is filled with elegant stores, plastic surgery doctors, and other professional services. There's also a coffee shop nearby. All in all this place was, by any measure, a fine dining experience. read more
