WTF happened to this place?!?!?!! Bought some tortillas recently. So ugly. Burned, stiff, weird color, just yuck! Nothing like what it use to be. Gone are the pretty, pliable, same as grandma's fresh yummy smelling tortillas that the valley has enjoyed for two decades before things went downhill. Every visit I give them another chance. So what changed? Oh, new owners 5 years ago (maybe more). The same sad story, they change ingredients to save money and result is a disaster. Stores, restaurants and customers drop off. How do I know, the employees shared what's the real story. The 30 day "training" period was completed ignored by the new owners, who btw knew nothing about running a food production business. (It's not empanadas out of your mother-in-law's kitchen) Of course the owners won't admit they ruined a good thing. They don't even spend time there. No personal investment or interest to get it right. But public opinion prevails. My disappointment even goes to the tortilla chips. I've bought them for over 15 years. Used to be awesome. Now, just crap!! It's like gambling, will it be a good batch or stale, stuck together, clumpy salted bag (if salted at all though label says sea salt) of flavorless corn masa. Note to manager, tell employees to STIR the chips as the cook!!! (And start with a good corn tortilla) Last but not least the place got a facelift. New logo and paint job. Trying to be hip I guess but obviously not a trained designer. Who buys food from a grey/black building?? Appetizing, NOT! The logo could be a hair salon or wart ointment. Plain, unimaginative, clip art, nothing that says fresh tortilla factory. The place has all kinds of tortillas and food products. But that doesn't matter if you can't master a simple flour tortilla that was once an incredible product. Sadly all the hype comes from those that don't know the difference. I placed and online order for some tortillas over a month ago and have not received them.I have contact them several times by Email and I get no response.If they have a website that offers shipments then they should accommodate and fulfill the shipments.Not ignore their customers.Its bad for business.Im sure their food is good and their tortillas are good.But I will never find out unless I am in Stafford AZ. I am in love! I didn't know this place existed. So I'll be honest, I thought there would be more stuff for sale. I was thinking Pan Dulce, Doritos, Mexican candy, the works. There was nothing like that in there, but those tortillas, delicious! Heaven in flour form for sure. They were warm and fresh. We ate them plain the car. We couldn't wait till we got home. Also, the cherry empanadas were so incredible, we talked about them all day. The cashier was sweet and told us that the usually make tamales and have them for sale in the frig. Great tortilla factory with a small shop in the front. Love the variety of tortillas. They also have excellent tortilla chips with lime added. We ate the whole bag at one sitting. Everything is fresh and tasty with no preservatives, so they will go bad sooner. Great reason to eat them faster and then go get more. They also sell fresh guacamole, salsa, and other essentials. It isn't a restaurant, but you can buy premade burritos and tamales and heat then up in their microwave. Definately and place I have to visit whenever we are in Safford. read more

These tortillas are always warm and taste homemade. I love their selection of XL to mini tortillas and they're super friendly.

Always so fresh and delicious straight out of the oven. I do t know how they do it, but the flour tortillas are warm. I can eat them straight from the bag and have been known to give one to each of my kids as a snack as well. I love them even in the summer, but the winter is the best! My favorite ever tortillas! They have several sizes. Flour, whole wheat, and corn. As well as chips of different varieties. They even ship.

I am down to my last Blueberry Tortilla....Its so depressing. Moving away from AZ has been hard and that is because I am without Mi Casa Tortillas. Why do people even eat tortillas if they aren't MCTF? There is no point. No point in burritos, or cheese crisps or...or...life really. You can eat these hot or cold or warm with a little butter. The tortillas were wonderful! Still hot of the oven when I finally made it there. Although I could not locate a parking lot, I was able to find street parking right outside the front door. Standing room only and very limited retail space. The store is no-frills; a counter with a register, a couple of refrigerated units that contain cold beverages and a few storage racks containing chips, chilies and other misc items. Definitely not a "eat in" place. While I was there (being indecisive as usual), the locals made it in and out like it was on there daily stop list. I finally decided on the white flour and wheat flour tortillas and the tortilla chips with sea salt. If they sold homemade salsa or guacamole, half the items would have been consumed on the rest of my road trip. Everything was delish! Definitely on my "go to" list next time I'm in Safford read more

Mi Casa Tortilla gets a five! I have always liked the corn tortilla chips with sea salt. They also make some of the best tortillas around. I especially like they're small snack size tortillas which are used to make grilled tacos. I've been in the store before and I have noticed a few different other snack tortillas. Lo and behold they are flavored. Apple spice and blueberry. Oh my goodness! The blueberry are amazing. I couldn't wait till I got home, I pulled the bag out when I got my car, unwrap to the bag, pulled a tortilla out, tore a some off, in my mouth it went and oh my. It has true blueberry taste. They were still slightly warm, if only I had a little bit of butter with me. You need to try these out, they are amazing. Hmmmm, I wonder what a little cream cheese would be like on them? read more

THE best place to get tortillas in Arizona. They have different sizes including wheat. They are hot, fresh, and wonderful. I also enjoy their chips with sea salt. Mi Casa will make you never want to eat any other tortillas ever again. A quaint, family-owned business with friendly staff and tortillas to die for, made fresh daily. They make white flour, wheat flour and corn tortillas. The day we visited, the flour tortillas had just come out from the ovens and were still warm in the package. You can stand by the door to the "back room" and watch the workers make the tortillas. It is fun just to stand around and watch the locals come in to purchase their "daily bread". The lady behind the counter was very friendly and asked us about our stay in Safford. My husband and I purchased several packages of tortillas (by the way, they freeze well), ripped open into one of the packages on our way back to Phoenix, and stuffed ourselves silly. They also make homemade corn chips - very lite and tasty. You can buy the chips with salt or without salt. A must stop if you are ever in Safford. read more

Please note there is no flavored tortillas. But we scarfed down some hot flour mini's with their guacamole with no complaints. These are authentic-yes, LARD! I purchased the enchiladas today while in the store for tortillas. I also purchased a ground beef, green chili and potato burrito this morning and I must say, the burrito was AMAZING!!! They rule the market with great taste and quality ! I am extreamly happy working with them. Time to time I am ordering from them boxes with corn tortila and they are always on time. Could not say that they are producing the best tortilas and corn stuffs around but they are one of the best companies in town and surrounding area. Personally, I prefered tortilas and chips with no spices and flavours. I just like to spice them up at home with different ingrediants. There is one - apple tortile, would like to reccomend it.Very unusual taste at all. Once they delivered me a wrong box with tortillas. You know, juts a oreder management mistake. Fresh warm tortillas! In multiple flavors. very inexpensive. and we used the dash board in the summer heat to keep them warm as we happily gobbled them down as we cruised across the southwest! Based on these reviews, and our love of fresh tortillas, we stopped by this week. We asked for corn tortillas and were told they were still in back because they were so 'fresh.' Bought three bags. After arriving home we gave them a try. It was impossible to find a way to make them edible. They were thin and tough as leather. Baked them; fried them, toasted them..... Nothing could make them chewable. Perhaps the 'fresh' was not truthful? The sea salt chips were OK, but the salting was sparse and not evenly distributed. The apple cinnamon tortilla wraps were similar in texture and taste to the corn tortillas. I have no idea why this place is so highly rated. read more
