This was a surprise ! It was a chain which I don't like but I was shocked at how good it was. The girl arrived with warm chips and salsa in a cute flask and each of us got their own little bowl so that we could double dip without any guilt. My pollo loco was so good! A nice big cutlet grilled and then pico de gallo and grilled onions over it. It came with rice,beans and was a very good serving size too. Service was good also oh and the flan was good also. If I can no star this establishment I would. As soon as we walked in the waitress was waiting for take our drink order. I sat down, my bf went to use the restroom. I told her I didn't know, he ( as in my bf) went to use the restroom. I then told her just get us some water. When he came back she was bringing our drinks so he then ordered two margaritas. It took her forever to make the drinks. Her finger nails looked dirty. Chips tasted like old grease, salsa looked and tasted like tomato sauce. Cups looked and smelt dirty. We forced our drinks down and ended up leaving. My boyfriend said the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Won't ever go back. read more

Toco is wet!!! Didn't follow Oppa's directions! Chips are hard! Shrimp is small! Didn't give us refills!

Food was average. Service less than mediocre. Served and only saw the waiter once, 3 mins after my food was served. No refill on my drink at all and I had a spicy hot sauce with my tacos. Currently waiting to pay my tab and at 20mins I laid my wallet out trying to send a signal. Tip: pay attention to your customer the place was no where near full. Unacceptable. read more

Food was good and fast. No complaints there. Our waiter, however, was out to lunch. I had to find him. Twice. Each time, he was sitting on the other side of the bar, constantly chewing on his gum, watching videos on his phone. Until we get all the way home after ordering the biggest fajita meal they had plus extra meat and there's not one tortilla for any of it. Our meal was fajitas. We didn't think for a second that we would have to check for tortillas in the bag. So since there number doesnt work after trying 15 times, we now have to go to food lion up the road instead of driving all the way back out there to get tortillas that should've came with our $25 order in the first place. Mi Casita is always good. Honestly I have never been there when they have had an "off night" or day for that matter. The prices are good, its in a great location and I have absolutely ZERO complaints about this place. I typically have the combination place with a taco an enchilada rice and beans, The cheese dip is also always good, The complimentary chips are nice and warm and fresh. Probably the best Mexican restaurant in Dunn. We ordered the burrito micasitas and they were well prepared and the service was top notch. I'm giving this place 3 stars only cause the outside patio has a bird nest under the light and they sat us right under it. Stopped in while traveling and it was delicious!! Very friendly staff. Dog friendly...one of the few places in this town we found that had outdoor seating for our dog. View of I95 isn't that bad when you are very happy to not be on it anymore! Food was fast and yummy. I got Mexican chicken soup. Ample chicken, avocado, rice. We take out yesterday here at the 421 restaurant. We call from the parking lot. The taco salads we're ready in minutes. They were absolutely wonderful. Everything was safe, even checkout was 6 feet. A great experience! read more

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. I came with a group of eight and the service was unbelievable. They constantly made sure that our waters were full and always had chips and salsa full on the table. The meals came out quick and everything was delicious. I had the Yolanda's it was enchiladas with chicken topped with a guacamole salad. It came out hot and made the way we ordered. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

If you are at all used to eating Mexican food on the west coast, do not eat here! I don't know if the people that left the higher reviews were high (probably not since this is not a legal state) but this was probably the second worst Mexican food I have ever eaten, and I am from a middle of nowhere white bred ranching town with almost no diversity. We stopped while on a long road trip north because of the positive Yelp reviews. We had enchiladas, a taco, nachos and chicken strips for the kids. Let's just say the chicken strips had the most flavor of everything we ate. Bland beans and rice, the cheese tasted like American cheese sauce (and not the good nacho kind out of a can) and the ground beef in the taco was just greasy beef and possibly old Mexican oregano. Maybe they were playing to their regular customer base but salsa should not be easily confused with pizza sauce (that is how bland and flavorless it was) and nachos shouldn't be soggy from watery cheese. If this is what passes for good Mexican food in NC then I feel sorry for everyone involved. Go to the pizza place next door or even the McDonald's around the corner I am sure you will be better off. The only reason I am even ok with a single star is that the restaurant was clean and the wait staff was attentive but a bit rude. read more

Traveling down I-95 and wanted something other than normal chains. Found this on Yelp! What a find. Chips and Salsa almost beat us to the table!! Wife had Taco Salad and I had Enchilada Sampler was so... so....good!! Arrived with plenty of lettuce, which I like. Taste reminded me of being in Mexico. They were the real deal. It's difficult finding a really good Mexican place when traveling. You're just taking a risk. Reviews in Yelp were spot on. read more

What a great find off the highway during a long road trip! From the clean restaurant to the polite staff and spot on delicious fare, this is a spot that I would return to if I was in the area!
