We were their first customers of 2024!!! So happy, excited and full! Service is always amazing! She's so sweet and always makes you feel welcome! Pro Tip: The truck has moved to the end of Mooney in the "Cost 4 Less" parking lot. Ambiance is nice, some tables and chairs outside the truck, but I would prefer to either eat in my car or take it home, like we did on this trip. I got an Asada Burrito "con todo" or "with everything", we got an Asada Sope, which was like an open faced taco, but thicker! Layered with beans, meat, lettuce, tomato and cotija cheese I believe. It was delicious! We also got two Adobada tacos and two asada tacos. Delicious! So nice they have a salsa bar! Every salsa they have is delicious! My favorite is the Verde! I ordered the carne asada tacos and the burrito after stumbling upon the food truck in front of Visalia Mall. It seems like they're not always there, so it is recommended to check their social media for updates on when they will be open. The tacos were great. There was a generous portion of meat in them. The only negative comment I have is that they were the oiliest tacos I've ever eaten. I just moved to this area, so I'm not sure if this is typical in the Visalia area, but I would still recommend this place. The burrito, on the other hand, was satisfying enough. It contained carne asada, rice, and beans. I was craving a typical American burrito with more toppings inside, but this was more of a Mexican burrito with fewer toppings. Had a hard time finding this place. But the girl answered the phone right away. Today, On August 2022 it was in the parking lot behind red robins in Visalia mall near the Yogurtland. I think the highlights of this taco truck, are the really well-made salsas (it's self serve too!) In the generous portions of well-made food. In the salsa bar, they have cucumber salsa, onions, cilantro, fresh cut lemons, avocado salsa, pico de gallo, red salsa and green salsa. I was very happy with every single one of these, and especially pleasantly surprised by the fresh pico de gallo. We ordered the Asada tacos, chorizo, adobada, Asada burrito. I must say, the asada is juicy and freshly grilled and wonderfully made. The tortillas are soft and sweet and go so well with all the salsas. The adobada is very juicy and well marinated as well. I would not order the chorizo again, but it was not bad, just not as epically amazing as the asada and adobada. Talked to the owner today and she confirmed they are the same owners that used to have the mi casita restaurant on Houston. Not sure how long they have been back but I'm glad they are. Love that the asada has a little crispiness to it yet was still very juicy, their salsas are on point, and the taco Aztecs is ‼ Another subtle difference from other places is they seem to oversalt their grilled jalapenos, which really add a different flavor profile while eating your tacos and I loved that. There's a very specific taste and style of tortillas that I'm looking for when I'm eating tacos and this place has it! There's a bit of that greasiness that makes the tortillas soft and chewy, then that strong corn flavor that comes through that just goes perfectly with the meat! I also ordered the Tosti-Camerones which were a big hit for me, literally 10/10. The portions were generous and they did not skimp out on the shrimp! First impressions of the burrito were that it was incredibly small. The size might be the half size of a yeti bottle. However, eating the burrito with the grilled onions was an excellent experience. The burrito was more of a Mexican burrito than a regular American burrito and I have come to appreciate it. After taxes, the burrito alone was just $10.31. While I might not come here as a regular customer in the future, I am definitely willing to come back for the quality food. The server was very helpful and very kind. Every plate comes with a grilled jalapeno, and grilled onions which are delicious to eat with the already delicious tacos! Hands down the best Azteca taco in Visalia I tried their regular tacos because they were out of Azteca and I must say there's a huge difference in flavor in those two tacos. They're regular tacos are alright nothing special but you must try out the Azteca taco if you're in the area. I believe they're there until 8pm on weekends so don't miss out! read more

I have been wanting to try this place for some time after seeing that they have such good reviews. Today I found myself hungry with some time to kill and in the vicinity of where they set up in front of the old Sears. I ordered 2 tacos asada and 2 tacos adovada. The service was fast and friendly and you can help yourself to the salsa/condiments bar on the side of the trailer. I got a sampling of all 3 salsas since I hadn't been there before. There were 2 green salsas and 1 red. The red was the best of the 3 and I would guess it had a little chipotle because there was a smokey undertone to it. The green ones fell flat for me and all were mild. I would have preferred a little more bite in any of them but oddly enough even the grilled serrano was mild. As for the tacos themselves, I found them to be ok in flavor but very very oily. They were small tacos for $2.50ea but I guess prices are going up everywhere right now. Overall I am giving 3 stars because they were so greasy but even if they were not greasy, I don't know if I could get to 4 stars considering the salsas fell flat and the flavor of the tacos was only ok. read more

I was today's year old when I found out the have two locations. Possibly two trucks ? Okay anyways I found this truck at the location on Dinuba sharing the parking lot with a mexican bakery. Even better! Anyways I had this place at the Dinuba location 3x. I was hooked. I loved their tacos! The tortilla I'm not really even a fan of the ground yellow corn like that but omg it's delicious. The meat is good! I judge that by the amount of salt I have to use. My Go to is the Asada tacos and cabeza. I loveee how they come with grilled onions and jalapeños. I'm drooling just thinking about the next time my Lips encounter these tacos again. The horchata is good too! The salsa and toppings are on the sides. The guy is always very friendly too. Only one time I was disappointed with them. I think it was about 5ish or so and they were just about done setting up and I ordered a Asada burrito and a couple tacos. I didn't realize until I got home I had NO grilled onions! I almost cried. Then the burrito the meat was sooo salty and literally had no onion and cilantro in it, I was disappointed.I ended up throwing half of it away. If I wasn't so far from where I lived I would have drove back. Anywho , this was my first time at the Mooney location and I loved they take Debit card! The Dinuba location is just cash. Boo. I tried their newest taco which was the taco azteca. It was two tortillas with melted cheese in between the two and meat, chili peppers and a whole bunch of Mexican sorcery on it I'm not sure but it was Delish but it was small and way too expensive for $4. This is a small shack on the corner of Garden and Houston (west of the roundabout). The building is colored green. The place is outside seating with 3 big tables with 6 chairs each table. CASH ONLY! I ordered 2 tacos of carne asada and asonada and a burrito of adobada. They served each plate with grilled onions and a jalapeno strip, which was a big plus. The tacos were amazing. Probably the best I've had in the South Valley. The burrito was also good, although not mind blown. Tacos were $1.50 each and the burrito was $5.50, which were reasonable prices. I was hoping that the food here was as good as the pics on the menu. This is my 2nd visit here and was giving them another shot thinking maybe the 1st time was just a bad night. Same as first visit. The food has absolutely no flavor at all. If you order a burrito or anything else you must put condiments on yourself which is fine for tacos or similar food. If you get a burrito your screwed as you need to open it up to add onion cilantro and any salsas and then your burrito is a pain in the ass to eat as it won't stay together. This is a great place to have some good old fashion tacos, with grilled jalapeños and onions. You can't have tacos without a Coca Cola.
