We decided to give this place another go after not coming for a while and it was kind of disappointing to be honest. I got an Asada Wet Burrito and Jess got the enchilada plate. We also got a side of chips and salsa and two mini tacos, one with Al pastor and the other with barbacoa. The Asada tasted bad. The rest of the burrito was fine. The green sauce was great, pico and guac were fine. But the meat had this weird old tasting flavor to it. It even had a rancid smell to it after pulling a few pieces out to see what the problem was. I immediately had to stop eating it, the pieces were also fatty, tough and hard like a pebble. The chips also tasted old and stale, like store bought chips left out for a while. The Al Pastor was the highlight of the meal. The meat tasted charred, it was flavorful and well seasoned. I honestly should've grabbed a burrito with that meat instead. Barbacoa was just ok, nothing to write home about. A little more tough than what we've had from Chipotle. Not really seasoned. Overall, disappointed. Los Arbolitos was the spot to go to for a really good asada burrito. Unfortunately this doesn't seem like the case anymore. Was really hoping to find another local spot for our Mexican food cravings but I don't think it's going to be this one after all. read more

Can I just say, wow. Super legit and authentic. Got the breakfast burrito and given I eat tons of these, this was in my top 7. Can't have just 3 lol too many out there. The staff took our order, we waited 20 min only to see people who arrived after us get their food before us. Then some stupid excuse about a machine not working. You guys kept passing by our table and didn't bother checking why we were sitting there so long without food. We would drive from Selma just for the fish tacos. Oh my goodness, what delicious and delightfully exciting place to come and have some delicious Mexican food. Have driven by this place a million times and never stopped here. Reminds me of an old burger spot inside but their menu is so extended and have something for everyone. They even have burgers! The staff were excellent and you can taste the love in everything from the salsa, to the tortillas, to the seasoning of the meats! Really good quality stuff, we love their Aguas Fresca, salsas that had just the right amount of kick, portions were excellent and staff again were absolutely sweethearts. This is a fun little spot with decent seating but it is a family oriented spot. I would definitely bring kids here, they have a kids menu with lots of good options. I had the Quesabirria Tacos with rice and beans and a large drink. That was $18 and really good. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They greeted us upon arrival and leaving. HOT CHEETO BURRITO! it was so incredible. It's a little spicy with a delicious crunch. The servers were very sweet and kind. The ambiance reminds me of an old Taco Bell. The meat could have used a little more flavor but I am not complaining. Well priced, reasonable and enjoyable. read more

I've always loved Arbolitos for their menudo. I've gone to each of their restaurants and their food is always amazing. I can't give it a 5 due to my last visit with them about two weekends ago. I always order my menudo with grano y pata but the pata had hairs on it like it hadn't been cleaned correctly it grossed me out but I was too embarrassed to say anything. We went in on an average busy evening. We ordered food and got our number. We sat down. We waited 50 minutes while we saw others who ordered after us get food. We sat patiently still because we realized it was getting busier and heard one of the employees explaining to a customer that they also had a few door dash orders so it was busy for them. At about the 40 minute mark of waiting, we got up n asked if we could get our chips and salsa that we ordered as we were hungry. We sat for another 15 minutes while still others who ordered after us were getting their orders. Finally we went up n asked about our food and they said they had an error and their pos system didn't print a receipt so they essentially forgot our order. The employee just said, "oh they're starting it now sorry". We asked at that point for a refund. After over an hour waiting, she refunded all except our chips and salsa which we didn't get until the 40 minute wait mark. And to add the salsa was not good and the chips were stale. We ordered from Los Arbolitos through Yelp on our work trip and I am so glad we did! The quesabirra tacos were delicious and the nachos yummy! I would say the best part of the nachos was the jalapeños, guacamole, and pico. The asada was okay, kind of dry to be honest. We did get it to go but ate in the car in the parking lot cause we wanted to make sure it was fresh. But the ladies were so kind and welcoming and had great customer service! One thing, if you order a drink online, double check that it is with your order. I ordered a Limón Jarrito, checked and it wasn't there. When I asked about it, she was apologetic and showed me the ticket -- it only prints 1 Limón (one lemon) and so there was extra limón for the tacos (which actually I loved!) -- but for some reason the way that their system recognized that wasn't clear that it was a drink. She got it for me and so it was no problem but I'd say just check it out and make sure it's there if you order! Would absolutely go again for the quesabirria! read more

I ordered the meat fries,aka asada fries, they were good but if they would drizzle some nacho cheese sauce on them they probably would be the best in town. But they were still good. I am always on the hunt for good quesabirria. I went to Los Arbolitos this past week. The quesabirria was excellent. You can order individually or with beans and rice. The consume is very good. The portions are very generous. The service is friendly and the place is busy. There are a lot of things on the menu, but I will stick to the quesabirria. As an update, I went a second time and had the same thing. There was a misunderstanding during ordering, so I was brought two plates of the same thing. I guess clarifying that there a two tacos seems to mean bring me two plates. They took one back and issued a refund. There was one bottle of side sauce missing, so I asked for it. Not a pleasant interaction, like I did something wrong. So, the food was good and the place busy. I dropped my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Service is as important as the food. I do not like unpleasant experiences. In the restaurant business, there is a 45% chance a person returns a 2nd time. The same percentage for the 3rd time. It is only after the 3rd time do the odds go to 70%. Today was their opportunity to knock my socks off. Did not happen with all the service confusion, so I on the fence. read more
