It was my mothers birthday and we wanted good food and drinks! MiCozumel had hustled what we wanted! The food was so good, I almost forgot to take a picture! I got the seafood chimichanga which had shrimp and lobster. I've been to restaurants where they are skimpy on the filling, but they did not miss! It was packed full of fresh lobster and big shrimp. The seasoning was perfection. The drinks are definitely IG worthy, and surprisingly not over priced. Parking is abundant, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The service was excellent. Yep. This is the place of my dreams. So fun and festive but it's not all just flaire, the food is just as fantastic as the drinks and the atmosphere. If you're looking for a good time and some good food, this is the place for you. Both the food & drink menus are large- many many choices and there's something for everyone. Drinks are pricier than most other usual spots, but then again- they aren't just your usual drinks either- served in a variety of all types of very fun vessels adorned with over the top garnishes and sparklers... yes... sparklers. We came here for our weekly date night as neither of us had ever been before. The ambiance and decor was good, service was fast, and we observed their over the top birthday song for someone which was highly entertaining. The menu is huge. That being said, everything is incredibly expensive. We thought it would be priced like Cancun or your typical Mexican restaurant, but this was much more expensive. Your average meal is $15-20 and many were more like $30 and up. Their drinks are super fancy and over the top, but one margarita was $18 and seems outrageous. I got the Hawaiian Fajitas. The menu says all fajitas come with refried beans and guac (which is why I order fajitas), but it didn't come with the order so I asked the server for them. The said the Hawaiian and shrimp fajitas don't come with those, then showed me the menu again, which did not say anywhere that those items aren't included. It's says they ARE included largely at the top, so I was a bit frustrated. I ended up ordering a side of refried beans because that is my favorite old at Mexican restaurants. However, the fajitas were tasty and I loved that it was served in a pineapple boat. It only came with 3 tortillas which is not much for the amount of food you get. My husband got the chorizo burrito and said it was super delicious and quality chorizo. I took his guac since mine didn't come any each platter also came with a cornbread tomalito, which tasted sort of like a corn cake (sweet like dessert) which was different and tasty with cute presentation. My family and I met another family for dinner at Mi Cozumel, a new addition to the Oakley Station development. We arrived around 5 on a Friday night and were seated right away. The interior and decor are not at all recognizable from the previous tenant of the space, Bar Louie. They have an incredibly long and expensive drink list, as well as a more moderately priced but equally as extensive food menu. With the restaurant not at capacity, one would expect service to be fast, but we had to flag down a server after 20 minutes of not even placing a drink order. If considering a large house margarita ($15.99) I would recommend going with the half pitcher instead ($16.99) and splitting it with someone else. The specialty margaritas looked interesting but too expensive for my tastes. For dinner, I had the chimichangas, two per order, covered with white queso sauce, served with rice or beans, and guacamole salad ($13.99). This was a good meal and I would definitely order it again, but I'm just not sure we will be back due to slow service and expensive drinks. Plus the line was out the door by the time we left, so make sure to show up early if you do decide to give it a try. read more

Take the overly negative reviews with a grain of salt! I just ate here and found it to have a great atmosphere, decent service, and good food. Portion sizes were typical. Prices were average - a little on the high side but pretty On par with other places anymore. My meal was $17 with an extra side that was $4. Drinks are pricey but also on par with what you get. I have nothing negative to say other than not loving that cheese is an an extra add on to most items which I didn't love. I went on a Saturday evening around 7pm. read more

Lovely updates at the newest location of Mi Cozumel. It's amazing how fast they are growing. Unusually so! Mi Cozumel is a fun place to hang out with friends and enjoy novelty drinks and Mexican food. This location has a lot of attractive decor that adds to the energy around you. There are a lot of items on the menu to enjoy, especially drinks. As much as I love coming here I have come to the conclusion that the entrees don't match the vibe here, in that, the meats tends to be overcooked and dry and the vegetables undercooked. I think most of us want tender chicken and beef. The rice was crunchy the last time we visited. They are a little overpriced for their food since they slack on preparation of your meal(s). Service is ok also. Sometimes they stagger delivery of each party's entree. Wait times at all three locations are always at least an hour as it is a favorite of the locals. We live closest to the newest branch so that is where we'll likely go unless we're out and about near the other locations. I'll probably end up getting salads or nachos from here on out to accompany my drink. read more

This is my first time visiting and I really enjoyed everything about it. From the decor, to the drinks (), and even the birthday serenade. I met a friend there just for a quick catch up and we decided to just have drinks and appetizers. I ordered the mango daiquiri and loaded steak nachos. The daiquiri was just what I needed after work. The perfect mango flavor, not too sweet, and just the right amount of liquor to get me munching through my appetizer. O my drink even had an extra treat of mango candy on the side. My only issue with that is that I didn't even know what it was and once I found out, I had a lot of difficulty squeezing the candy out. The serving size of nachos was more than I expected and enough for me to have some leftovers to take home. The steak was cooked just right and was a great compliment to the nachos. We visited downtown Cincinnati this weekend and after an event, we decided to walk from our hotel to grab a drink and dessert. I ordered a house margarita and my husband ordered a margarita with mezcal. We also ordered one order of churros and one flan. Our waiter was very energetic and nice. He told my husband that "he got the worm" in his maragarita and that he brought us something special so we return in the future. My margarita was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Came in a sugar skull glass, maybe 12oz, they were presented in a chest, with sparklers and a bunch of things on top. We did not order anything special. The churros were brought in a cart, they were Oreo and not the plain ones we ordered, again with sparklers. They were okay, but not what we ordered and we were not given the option to change. We let it go because it wasn't worth sending it back that late at night. However, when our check came it was $75. We were charged for two premium patron margaritas. We didn't order premium. They were $30 each. We paid our check but after that experience, we will never return or recommend your restaurant in the future. You waiter is a bit of con artist it seems. No one asked for patron, or premium margaritas. Not to mention, we both drink margaritas regularly. They were not made with patron, which is a familiar taste. Patron does not make a mezcal with a worm. This could have been a fun experience and we would have returned but instead, we paid nearly $100 after tip for just okay dessert and margaritas, and sparklers. read more

This place was hopping on a Saturday night! The drinks are quite creative here. They definitely have some interesting ways of serving margaritas whether it's in a 88oz tube with a dispenser or from an IV bag. Aside from the drinks the food isn't bad. Giant selection. It's your run of the mill Mexico food. Only bad part is the place is loud. We also had the Philly cheesesteak burrito (her) and the L.A. burrito (me) Food came out 10 minutes after it was ordered, and my wife said it was the best Mexican restaurant she's had in a long time. I have been to Mi Cozumel before and its been great our waiter at Oakley branch is the main reason. This isn't a 9 or 10. We got our group of eight stat down quickly and from sitting to food was 10 min. The décor and style was unapologetic and colorful! The interior was upbeat and noisy especially with the Bday performances. I really think it was just my waiter but he was very short with us and it was not a packed day or anything. He barked at me when I tried to help pass waters, he denied an issue when my 3 enchilada meal only had 2, and he brought checks while we were waiting to order desserts. I hope he was off soon because he didnt care about service. The food how was great, love their flavors and variety of options. All cooled well, fast, and large. My dishes pineapples were hard for my liking and one enchilada was missing from my 3 count. Nothing terrible. It started out really rocky when we showed up and said we had a reservation for 17, but they don't do weekend reservations??? So I think someone may have looked at the date incorrectly when I called but they quickly made something happen for us. For 17 of us I expected the service to be slow but we ordered our drinks and I think the whole tables drinks were out in under 8 mins! The food was the same and absolutely delicious. It wasn't cheap but it honestly wasn't terrible! We went for my birthday and they go alllll out. Give you a shot, sing to you, pull you up to dance. It was so fun. Last Saturday evening outlets party of 20 people arrived for our reservation at Fuji House in Hyde Park, only to be told they only had one server for the entire restaurant and she would also be tending the bar. NO Thanks! So, I sprung into action like the super hero I am. I pulled out my cellphone and using my cat-like reflexes, I called Mi Cozumel! Enyo answered the phone. I told him of my predicament and he told me he'd have tables for us in 20 minutes. We arrived at Mi Cozumel and they had the tables and one large booth next to them all set up. Nelly was our server and she did a great job making sure we all had everything we needed. The food, service and drinks were all fantastic. Thanks to them we were able to celebrate our friend's birthday as planned. They not only helped us that night, but everyone had such a great time we've decided that Fuji House is our place of the past (sorry Fuji House) and Mi Cozumel is our new party place. read more

What. A. Night! I came here for the first time with my friends who have been here. They did not forewarn me about the twerking gorilla that made the night. Sparklers for celebrations, a dancing gorilla, and service that tops the night off! The lighting, the warmth, the party it gives you! You would think this would take away from the food - absolutely not! My chimichanga was flavorful, the fajitas made for quality leftovers, and the shrimp tacos were filling. Mi Cozumel gives you a unique experience, almost like you're in a rave but eating a delicious Mexican cuisine while having quality time with friends. I really wish I could give this a 3.5 star review. The food at this location has always been great. The service is OK... I have no complaints. However, when we were there, there was an altercation at the table next to us and the server and customers were getting rather tense with eachother and it became kind of an uncomfortable situation. Also, every single time I come here and I get a different type of drink, and every single time it is way too sugary. It hurts my stomach and I can never finish the drink because it has way too much sugar and not enough alcohol... Or the drink is too big. It's always a fun big party every time I go in. This is a great place to bring an out of town guest or just to have a good time with some friends. The vibe is very upbeat and sometimes can be loud so be prepared for that. read more

The night was enjoyable enough until there was a very loud what sounded like marching band to presumably celebrate birthdays. Then I found out there was an additional $20 tip added to my credit card charge although I'm sure I added no additional tip since a tip had already been included. You get what you pay for kind of thing. We just wanted something simple. Not over the top. I opted for the lime Margarita and my Mr got the Spicy lime Margarita. They were great! I can't complain, it had great flavor and not too boozy. Great pairing with the complimentary chips and salsa. For lunch I just wanted something small. I ordered the a la carte 3 crunchy beef tacos and my Mr got the burrito special (steak with queso). We got our food right away and I have to say that I am very pleased! It was really good! Even my Mr was happy with his meal. Overall a great experience and I can see us coming back. I guess the ones that left an unhappy review is when they first opened and trying to work out the kinks. Both my lady and I heard mixed reviews on this spot. We heard the drinks were great but the food was not. But with all things, taste always varies from person to person, so we wanted to check it out for ourselves. Honestly, we thought it was very good, both for drinks AND food. The drinks menu can definitely be overwhelming because it has a TON of over-the-top options especially for margaritas. Sometimes, you just want a simple margarita, but they have that too. My lady and I started out with two small margaritas, I had a spicy jalapeño margarita and she had a lime margarita. Both were really good. My spicy jalapeño really had a kick to it. As for our meals, my lady ordered three ground beef tacos a la carte and I got the burrito special with steak. Our meals came out pretty quickly and looked and tasted fantastic. We really enjoyed the whole experience and were already talking abour coming back before we even left... And possibly trying one of those over-the-top margaritas next time.
