As for our food, we ordered fried plantains, 2 pork tamales, and 3 pupusas (flounder, chicken, and pork). The fried plantains came with beans and sour cream. The plantains were enjoyable. The beans were mashed so finely, I couldn't help but use them as a dip for the plantains. The pork tamales came in banana leaves, as Salvadoran tamales typically do. The tamales weren't as firm as I wound've liked, and could've used more pork, as well. All 3 of the pupusas included cheese. Of the 3, the pork was my favorite. The pork also included cilantro, which added a flavor the other 2 pupusas lacked. My second favorite was the chicken, which also included squash. Lastly, the flounder was my least favorite, but was still worth trying. In a nutshell, Pupusería Y Restaurante Salvadoreño was worth checking, and somewhere I can see myself returning to.
