Its Ok to be new but you should know what a corkage charge is and that someone who wants to bring a bottle is not looking to start trouble. There are many good choices for Mexican in the area. The food is everything you'd expect from authentic, homemade Puerto Rican cooking with those classic Vega Baja chinchorro vibes. I had the ensalada de pulpo, with the churrasco with white rice and beans, a parcha sangria, and of course, the mofongo. Every dish was outstanding. My wife ordered the fried pork, and it was just as impressive. What stood out so much was the hospitality. Despite having such a strong social media following, the owners were out on the floor, greeting guests, taking photos, and making everyone feel genuinely welcome. While looking over it I didn't quite find what I was looking for and asked the friendly waitress if I could get three vegetarian tacos (soy vegetariano) and she quickly understood. I think it's a good sign if there is not much English spoken at a Mexican restaurant as it leads to it's authenticality. I waited for about 5 minutes and was given my order and I was on my way. The tacos were delicious, great fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and some green salsa I added to them. Really fresh, really tasty. The tacos came with refried beans and rice. They were both very good. The right flavors and nothing too strong. Just good, fresh food. The interior dining area is colorful, clean and spacious.
