Mofongo, with pechuga chicken and salad.

Went for a birthday, it was the restaurant pick! We shared a few apps: stuffed tostones which were great I chose steak; empanadas so yummy, abricurrias which were delicious, chirrcurrones which were a bit disappointing, fried cheese with guava dipping sauce to die for great. Dinner the fried chicken chunks were terrific, mofongo yummy, I had the grilled chicken good but maybe over marinated; pork chunks were tasty, beans too, rice a bit dry. The place is a casual neighborhood place, service was great!! The staff sang happy bday and gave a nice piece of delicious flan cheesecake. Portions are generous, fresh & hot. Overall a good time, we will be back!

I didn't go into the restaurant but I did order food for delivery at the hotel. They delivered sooner than anticipated and the food was fantastic. I ordered the mofongo with chicharrón de pollo. The chicken was absolutely tasty! The mofongo was good, even as leftovers. It was a little drier than I would like but still good. I also ordered the alcapurrias. These were delicious! I would definitely recommend this place.

The food was great, good portions, good sizes. The staff was kind and attentive. Very cute inside with colorful murals and Latin music playing.

If the picture isn't enough read the rest... Still dreaming about this Father's Day feast in Port St. Lucie Hands down one of the best meals we've had in a while! The Kan-Kan pork chop? A crispy, juicy, flavor bomb that deserves its own holiday. The churrasco? Cooked to perfection... tender, juicy, and seasoned like it was blessed by the grill gods. And the alcapurrias?? Let's just say I'm still fantasizing about them. Golden, crunchy, and filled with pure magic. Everything was bursting with flavor, soul, and tradition. If you're in Port St. Lucie and don't eat here, you're doing it wrong. 10/10. No notes. Just go.

Wow! I can't say enough about this restaurant! We were visiting family in the area and because we saw a huge sign for mofongo we had to stop in! Jose, the owner gave us a run down of the business, where they started and how they recently renovated the inside of the restaurant to level up and match their quality of food. He definitely was right about the quality of his food! Outstanding- from the apps we ordered, yuca fries and cornmeal sticks with the delicious sauces to our entrees with mofongo. Literally everything was delicious, plentiful and kept you wanting more! Their homemade hot sauce is chefs kiss!! The family we came with never had authentic Puerto Rican food and walked out of the restaurant raving about the food, wanting to bring their friends next time! They have awesome homemade sangria (and I hear their coquito is pretty great too). They also have a takeout counter to grab a quick meal that'll keep you full for many HOURS! Jose, thank you for making us feel at home and we can't wait to visit again soon!

My wife couldn't finish hers either. So much good food.

I can't figure out why this place isn't 5 states across the board. I eat all over the eastern seaboard, never at anything other than non-chain restaurants. I ate at a place last night in Hallandale that somehow had 4.9 stars with over 1900 reviews. I wasn't impressed at all. Here it's 3.9 and shouldn't be. Do yourself a favor. Come here and come here often. The mofongo is phenomenal. I got the grilled chicken in creole sauce. My wife got the mofongo with pulled pork. We didn't speak to each other after the first bite. Couldn't get enough. It's delicious. We travel to Florida on the turnpike often. We'll be back

    Mofongo con carne frita

Drove over an hour cause I'm a fan of their videos. Everything great except the mofongo (their namesake) gets a 4/10. They obviously prepare a garlic sauce but they overdid it and mofongo was served very soft almost runny. Worth another try but I'll definitely ask for less garlic in mofongo

Fried cheese and guava sause was so good!!!!

The food was extremely good. My wife and I split the entrée and we still had leftovers. The service was extremely good to the waitress was extremely nice and very attentive. She made sure we always have drinks. The inside of the place is even nicer. It's a nice themed Puerto Rican restaurant. I'll definitely be back here. It was really good.

Wow, this place was absolutely amazing. First off, very nice to have smiling hostesses greet you as you enter the restaurant. They have a hot counter with all sorts of chicken, pork and beef along with a number of different side dishes. Everything at the counter looked fresh and delicious. You can order from the menu if you like and we chose that option as we wanted to try the mofongo. My better half had the churassco and I had the pernile, both with the mofongo. Both dishes were delicious. This will be my go to restaurant for Latin food up in PSL. I highly recommend this restaurant. Don't miss it.

    Celebrating life!

The food was good, very tasty, great service, we were greeted by a young lady. The place was cozy with walls that were covered with PR traditions. I would definitely recommend!

Our second meal was also delicious. A massive amount of roast pork with arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon pea) and a simple salad. Very good. The down sides are the food is pretty salty. A little more than I like but still edible and delicious. And the chairs are metal and very uncomfortable. I am willing to deal with that for this food though. I will go back gladly to sample some more of the menu.

The colorful décor and nostalgic touches throughout the dining room create a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels more like sharing a meal with family than dining out. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated that they were bilingual, making everyone feel comfortable and at home. We shared the Bandeja La Casa del Mofongo con Tostones, loaded with chicharrón de puerco, chicharrón de pollo, masitas de cerdo, salami, and queso. At $22.99, the portion was incredibly generous and easily large enough to share. The meats were flavorful and well-prepared, with the pork perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. The tostones were fried to perfection! If you're craving authentic Dominican cuisine , La Casa del Mofongo is definitely a place worth adding to your list.

Curious and hungry, we decided to check it out. The restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza, and I have to admit, the dark tinted windows made the place seem a little questionable at first glance. I actually got out of the car to peek inside before committing. Once I saw several people dining and enjoying themselves, we decided to give it a shot. Inside, the restaurant was tastefully decorated with a charming Dominican countryside flair. Even the bathrooms had a playful sense of humor that added character to the place. Service started off promptly, and we were seated right away with menus in hand. However, while browsing the menu, I quickly realized that despite the restaurant's name, there were very limited Puerto Rican options aside from the different varieties of mofongo. The menu was overwhelmingly Dominican cuisine, which was a bit disappointing since we specifically came looking for Puerto Rican dishes. We ordered the empanada de cangrejo to start, which was flavorful and freshly made. We also shared the mofongo with masitas fritas, and I will say the food itself was well seasoned, hearty, and satisfying. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our waitress lacked warmth and wasn't particularly attentive. What stood out the most was that she didn't know what sorullos or alcapurrias were, which caught me completely off guard considering we were searching for Puerto Rican cuisine. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the experience didn't fully meet our expectations. If you're looking for Dominican-style mofongo dishes, you may enjoy it. But if you're specifically craving traditional Puerto Rican cuisine, this may not quite hit the mark.

My work colleagues and I were greeted by a friendly host and sat at a table. But everything from service went down hill from there when our actual table server arrived. We were immediately greeted with "You ready", with a frowned face. We asked for water with lemon (never received) and was later served water from a pitcher (without lemons) only later to see an adjacent table served water from a picture with lemon and orange slices. Didn't make much of that. But when our waiter returned to take our order the second time, again with the same "you ready" frown faced I asked for help with the menu. I could hear her sigh so loud I wanted not to believe the feeling that we were bothering her in some way; and there was maybe only a quarter of the tables with customers. After placing our orders I asked my colleagues if they were getting the same vibe as I was from her and they both felt the same way. From my seating angle I could see this young lady server when she approached the front bar/seating area of the restaurant; which appeared to be where the other waiters all gathered when waiting. But I noticed her smiling and engaging in friendly conversation with two customers sitting at the bar. I noticed this difference from how she treated us vs these other guest throughout the entire time. With them she was smiling, engaging and not in any flirtatious way, but seemingly just being nice....being a good waiter. Clearly she was choosing NOT to be nice to us, and this bothered me internally because I did not know why. Our friendly greeter from when we arrived was seen serving another table and whose behavior was consistently friendly with everyone. So why the difference with our waiter I kept asking myself. I still gave a generous tip despite this service. It was important to me to do so, but I probably won't be back here, and this would have been a nice place to go back to with mi amor.
