Went to this nice restaurant about a month ago. We knew that it had to be good when the day before (a Saturday) there were people waiting outside to be seated. 3 adults ate for around $60.00 (including tip) The portions were filling and 2 of the 3 brought home leftovers for the next day. Pleasantly suprised by My Patria, honestly wasn't expecting much jut because murfreesboro is over ran by Mexican restaurants and we don't necessarily like Camino bc it's just cheap unflavored Mexican food but Mi Patria is definitly a step up. I think the Mexican is more authentic with a homey vibe. Very solid prices in there as well. Tv in there is huge and a good spot for watching a game or fight. read more

Terrible service. The young skinny girl with long hair doing to-go orders on 2/1 was extremely rude and unreasonable. I ordered a burrito to go and was given salsa without chips. I asked for chips and she said I didn't get chips because someone else in my party ordered cheese dip, so the chips that came with my meal got upgraded to a large order of chips for her. I explained this was for 2 people and requested the chips that should come with my to go burrito. She said it would be $3 additional to get chips in a smart-ass tone, and said if she gave me "free chips" she would have to give everyone free chips. I would not go back. read more

I travel to Murfreesboro one to two times per year and I always have to get a meal at Mi Patria! The spicy chimichanga special is my absolute favorite dish and I've never found a Chimi this delicious at any other Mexican restaurant that I've been to. Tonight I ordered for delivery through Grubhub for the first time, and I was nervous that it wouldn't be as good. I normally prefer my food hot and fresh out of the oven. I was NOT disappointed! It may not have been right out of the oven, but it was hot and it was fresh!!! I highly recommend Mi Patria and this spicy and flavorful dish. Horrible service! I ordered a dish that came with either potato wedges or fries as a side and ordered potato wedges. On the other dish that I ordered, I asked for cilantro on the side. Emilio, the restaurant manager, called me to say that they did not have potato wedges and if I wanted fries or something else. I asked if I could have tortilla chips instead. He said no that is a whole different plate so I said when you say fries or something else, what do you mean? He said fries or I can give you salad. I told him the regular fries would be fine. I then mentioned the cilantro that I had requested and he told me that he could not give me cilantro on the side. I said really? Why not? He said Because he would have to charge me $.50 for the extra cilantro. I did not care about paying the 50 cents however, it was the whole deal of you make me substitute my order but cannot give a few cilantro leaves when a whole bunch of cilantro will cost you less than a dollar. I told him I felt that was bad customer service and he told me I had a right to my opinion. Will not eat at this arrogant place again! read more

It was good. A few weeks before that I tried to order thru Postmates but the order was canceled because Mi's iPad some how was broken so had to wait until Postmates got them a replacement. I enjoyed the flavor from the burrito. It had long fajita meat that needed to be cut & distributed evenly. The fajita meat was all on one side & was filled with onions throughout the rest. I still enjoyed the flavors. They had a large selection of different burritos, which is my fave. It actually took me a good minute to decide. Terrible. Where to begin??? We were sat at table with an extremely hard and uncomfortable seat that was WAY TOO HIGH off the ground. I mean your legs barely fit under the a table that was entirely too low for such a high seat. It was like eating out of your lap! Very weird and very and uncomfortable. The food quality was poor and everything tasted the same; bland, lazily prepared, and boring. Service was also poor. Not a single smile or warm interaction during our entire visit. We had a wonderful lunch today at Mi Patria Mexican Restaurant. We've eaten here many times before and have enjoyed them all. Out of all the Mexican restaurants in Murfreesboro, I love the desserts here the best (the chocolate chimichanga is simply luscious)!!! Today, (or should I say as always when we come here?) I had the shredded beef stuffed poblanos. No one else makes them like they do here, in all of Murfreesboro. My oldest son had the California burrito with shredded chicken and Patty had some nachos plate (which looked kind of blah, but she really enjoyed them. Food is always hot and taste like that had just made it minutes before. It also doesn't take nearly as long for the food to come out to you as any other restaurant I've been to and I usually go as a party of 4+. The service is always good and have never had a bad experience. Drinks are also a must here, I encourage anyone to try anything outside of margs too. Large menu, fast service, and your traditional Mexican food! The prices are a bit higher now as their menu's all state on the front due to Covid-19. My husband got steak fajita nachos and the portion was big enough for 2 or even 3 people. I got the grilled chicken quesadilla and they were very generous in the amount of chicken in the quesadilla. This was our second visit & it will be our last. Sat at bar both times. Food is really pretty good but the service at the bar is NOT!! Had to ask for menus, tell bartender we were ready to order(he acted like we were bothering him), ask for refills, ask where our food was, etc. When food arrived only one meal came out. Had to ask for other meal and it was not correct. We didn't send it back. Finally got bill, and this is where the decision was made NOT to return. The only friendly contact the whole evening was then. Had had NO eye contact or more than mumbling until this point. He was basically trying to save his tip and he got 10% only out of curtesy. I will give cudos to the manager for coming in several times to help out, but this place definitely needs better bartenders. Was looking for a new place, but will keep looking. When driving for UberEats, this is popular with quite a few of my customers. So here is why I did not rate them higher. I have this problem that to me, all Mexican restaurants seem to have the same flavor profile to their food. There just is not variety restaurant to restaurant. I did like it, but there was nothing to brag about. The re-fried beans and rice served as sides to all the dishes tastes the same in every single Mexican restaurant in our county. Maybe I do not have a discriminating taste for these. I liked what I had, but would probably not visit again, just because there are several other Mexican restaurants between my house and this restaurant. Tony, Noel and I had been motivating all around the back roads from Nashville to Lebanon then to Murfreesboro back to Nashville..It was getting around lunch time and we decided to stop at Mi Patria. We have seen it many times but this was the first time we actually stopped here..and we were very glad we did. Tony's actual words when I parked..."OH boy another Mexican T'bone"...and I can tell he was not pleased. He thinks they all taste about the same. We entered into the restaurant and it was cooler inside than outside 88 degrees in Murfreesboro right then..so we opted NOT to eat outside. The gentleman showed us to a nice booth towards the front of the restaurant, took our drink orders and told Tony about the 2 - 16oz Domestic Drafts for only $3.50 so Tony chose the Bud Light Draft. I opted for soda and Noel took a sweet Iced tea. We all looked at the luncheon menu for a while and he brought us the drink orders along with some chips and salsa and also which was a GREAT PLUS in my book...FREE Cheese Dip with peppers and chorizo mixed into it..most don't give you the cheese dip for free...that was REALLY A BIG PLUS TO ME.. Tony went with the Mi Patria Baked Potato which was steak and chicken meat grilled with spices served with grilled onions and peppers poured over the top this well cooked and smashed baked potato with butter and sour cream. Also there was a White Queso Cheese Sauce poured over it..He was very pleased and it was really large for only $5.99 lunch pricing. I went with the lunch size Grilled Chicken Fajita with rice and beans on the side with lettuce and tomatoes, some quacamole and sour cream. Awesome..but way too large...I had to get a to go box and will convert the leftovers into something for dinner for the whole family tonight. Noel went with Deluxe Steak Quesdilla with white queso cheese sauce poured over it with beans and rice on the side. She loved it and said the steak was so tender and juicy. She was very pleased with the meal and said she would go here again. I loved mine but again way too big..and as we went back to the car to pull out..Tony said.."I really enjoyed that meal..i could eat here again..." I was so glad he was pleased.. I left a 18% tip and the ticket with taxes was less than $30. I would eat here again. The food was awesome and the prices were great as well. I hope you go here and try them out. My first visit here and I'm not 100% percent sure about how my experience was. I'm going to write an initial review, with hope to try again to see if anything changes. So with that said you know it wasn't an awful experience. I couldn't help but notice as we sat and waited for our Fajitas that the place had seats kind of cramped together. Guess getting the most for the room. But it made the dinning experience a little uncomfortable (but no biggie). It wasn't a over clean place they give the initial swipe with a mop or rag and called it done. I wouldn't call it filthy but nor would I say it is clean. More of a night club kinda thing after spilling food and drinks all night. You know that look and smell. Not what you really want from a restaurant, but ok for the bar. The food was in good portions for the price. You definitely shouldn't leave hungry. But the food was lacking something, flavor maybe I'm not sure. I enjoyed it but it left me unsatisfied for some reason. It wasn't anything special nor did they out do any other Mexican restaurant in the area. It was busy so maybe I was just missing something or everyone was there for the margaritas. I did notice every table had them. I personally didn't try them.Maybe if I did I would of seen the appeal. It was for the drink and not particularly the food. We may go back to seek out the margaritas and try another Dish. If we do I hope my review is more positive at which time illl update it. read more

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to! Maybe it was my taco salad?!? Or my hungry pregnancy cravings!!! Scratch that, it was the amazing taco salad! I would love to give this establishment an amazing 5 star but there was one thing that really bothered me about this restaurant. The taco shell...it had the flavor of the smell of the restaurant. Almost like cleaning supplies. Yuck! I understand they probably premake their shells and they're probably expose so it picks up the smell of the restaurant...but they should at least cover their shells so they won't taste like the smell of the restaurant. always great food. their shrimp baked potato is the absolute bomb. their margaritas are great and they usually have good deals on them. restaurant is clean, service is nice but kind of slow. it is extremely hot in the restaurant, there should really be some AC or something because customers shouldn't be sweating as we are eating. it has been like this for at least 2 years. the restaurant is extremely small so unless you go early, it is very common for there to be a wait. overall pretty good! read more

Fantastic Taco joint! It's right across from the AMC at the Mall, so we always hit Mi Patria before movie nights. I get the Street Taco Trio, (1 Carnitas, 1 Carne Asada, 1 Chorizo) and the Big Ass Green Burrito. Wash it down with a 32oz cerveza and it's a great night out. Def recommend. read more
