Placed a to-go order here today. They have a very robust menu and daily specials throughout the week. The service was fast and friendly. My order took about 10-15 minutes to prepare. I ordered the Guiso Mexicano which is one of my favorite Mexican dishes. They have both a dinner and lunch portion available. The lunch portion was just over $15. Their Guiso Mexicano was prepared with jalapeños which is a little different. I think most restaurants use the Serrano pepper. Regardless, the food was definitely packed with great flavors and was certainly a hit. Additionally, the serving portion was generous. So you're definitely getting your moneys worth. Went there yesterday. Food was decent but our waitress would rarely attend us & we were the only customers in there. We had to wait a while to even ask for anything. I kindly asked for help to pack my leftovers because it was a molcajete. She said no & laughed, I could see the judgment in her face. I took offense to that. Mi Cancun has changed owners , cooks , and wait staff ... and boy howdy you can tell , the food is NOT THE SAME ... and after 8 years of eating at Mi Cancun never ever have any food from menu made my stomach hurt as we where leaving, the 7 minute drive home was excruciating and barely made it to the bathroom to throw all that up ! We had to leave bc we were still hungry and running out of time and they charged us $28! So house margaritas are like $11 now? No apologies, and the place was nearly empty. Inexcusable. We left before the food. be warned. Awful! The service is the worst ever. i ordered a margarita with a corona. Server spilled the corona all over the table and just laughed. She never came back. Finally someone else cleaned it up. She never brought another and the margarita was the worst. We sat for another 20 minutes and never saw her again. Chips and salsa were gone. Beer spilled. Update: After 5 or 6 Door Dash orders this is my very favorite Mexican restaurant on Door Dash. I had to say more about how much I love this place. Every item I've had is superb, especially the chili poblanos. Tonight I tried the Three Amigos (1 shrimp burrito, 1 chicken burrito, and 1 steak burrito all covered with cheese dip with pico, sour cream, and guac on the side). It was amazing!!! We made our first DoorDash order from Mi Cancun last night. We had fajitas and hawaiin fajitas for 3. It was really good. The chips were great this time, but not very many for 3 people. So, this is the worst dish I've ever had. Not even kidding. I have reasonable expectations and just wanted some mexican food because I was craving it. So I drove over to Mi Cancun (I had never been here before, but it was close to home) and ordered the vegetarian burrito (hold the cheese) to go. It was $12. $12 for a burrito of bell pepper, onion spinach and tomato, and a side cup of guacamole. After suffering from sticker shock and receiving my order, I went home with my meal and opened it all up. First thing I notice is a decent-sized burrito. And that the burrito is SWIMMING in a watery sauce (?) I cut it open (picking it up wasn't fathomable, see picture) and the tortilla is totally doughy from being waterlogged by the "sauce". My cup of guacamole was only half full. The sauteed mixture inside the burrito had a horrible flavor, nothing mexican or even edible, really. The watery sauce had a terrible flavor so strong it totally overrode any naturally good flavor from the vegetables. I ended up NOT eating it, and just eating my two teaspoons of guacamole with some chips I had from home. What a waste. read more

I orderd from uber, have been there once! They have managed to go from mediocre to bad. At the resteraunt I ordered Heuevos Rancheros, disgusting hash that I've never had from any Mexican place in my life. Today my wife ordered a Chimichanga (Hamburger) meal. I got a salt lick Chimichanga all by it's self. The hamburger was so salty I'll be drinking water all night. To say this meal sucked would be an insult to suckitude. Don't come here and waste your money. I've been here several times. It's a disappointment every time. I keep trying to buy local. I ordered a speedy Gonzalez and it took 15 minutes to get it. Not very speedy. There were five tables seated and everyone had their food already. The manager came and told me I had to wait. I have to say, one dish can really take a meal from "meh" to OMG. This happened at Mi Cancun. My good friend had a birthday party there (seems to be a theme with this place). There was a lot of fun to be had with pitchers of margaritas hitting the table and karaoke from 7-10. Chips were good, salsa had fresh cilantro and was tasty, if not very spicy. Guac was not great, but I think there are two options for guac dip and I ordered the low tier one. Margs were tasty and strong and everything was shaping up to be a pretty decent but... Look, I'll cut to the chase: Molcajehte. Spicy. Flavorful. Hot!!! This little number made my night. I couldn't stop till I finished it. This one item would make me happy to go back. I had Mi Cancun for the first time tonight, and it was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. If you are looking for a good, quick Mexican restaurant, this is a good option! If you are looking for something unique with amazing food, I would probably look elsewhere. We just ordered take-out from them, so I can't speak to how their service is, but they were very quick for take out, having it ready in 15 minutes. They didn't give us a lot of chips (maybe half the size of a paper lunch bag), but it wasn't a bad price overall. We will probably order from here again since it was quick and close by. read more

We're in a middle of move and staying at my parents until our new home is done. So, we decided to try out some of the restaurants in the area. My mom loves Mexican food. Me, not so much. She had a craving for fish tacos so I obliged. The restaurant has a bar and was showing football, score! There are plenty of seats and tables to accommodate large groups. Honestly, my favorite part of a meal, is the free part. LOL. Just kidding. But I did enjoy their chips and salsa - the chips weren't overly salty and they were served warm. Salsa was chunky and not too sour. I ordered my usual at any Mexican restaurant - chicken quesadilla the grande. It was pretty big, but I managed to eat the entire thing, The chicken was tender and seasoned just right, but the cheese did it for me! They used queso, OMG! The tortilla was crunchy and did not turn soggy, and I really enjoyed their hot salsa. My only complaint is that it only came with lettuce, pico, guac. I wanted rice and beans! My mom enjoyed her tacos - she had the same sentiment - seasoned just right - we do not like too much salt. Service was good and prices are fair. We'll be back! read more

I went here on a Friday night for a small birthday dinner. The restaurant wasn't very busy which was nice, but it always raised some questions for me. However the waitress was it with chips and salsa and for drink orders quickly while we waited for the rest of our party. The chips and salsa was pretty good. The chips were warm but under salted and not really anything special. The salsa was very good and fresh. It could've used a little more heat, but I don't mind that. I ordered a frozen peach margarita that was very strong but had a good peach flavor and great consistency. My boyfriend's Dos Equis draft was chilled in a frozen mug and refreshing. The waitress also kept our waters full. My fajitas came out sizzling and had a good ratio of veggies and meat. It was seasoned well. It did have more chicken than steak, but overall was a good amount of meat. The beans, rice, guacamole, and pico were all also good. My boyfriend's pollo Poblano was also very good and well seasoned, but he did say it left him wanting more. The chicken breast was thinly pounded. They brought out fried ice cream for the two birthday guests that was more than enough for everyone to share. The fried tortilla pieces were sprinkled in cinnamon-sugar, and it had a generous amount of ice cream, chocolate syrup, and cool whip. Nice experience with good food and great service. read more

Some friends and I went here on a Saturday night (they have karaoke) to celebrate a birthday. My friends go here all the time and they say the food is pretty good, so I was pretty pumped to check it out. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant isn't terrible and is pretty similar to that of most of the average Mexican restaurants I've been in. They have a few TVs to watch sports or whatever (NCAA basketball tournament when we went) and on Saturdays they have karaoke. It seems like there are a lot of regulars for that, because everyone seemed to know everyone else. The prerequisite salsa and chips weren't too bad. The salsa needed a little bit more heat but I've had worse, so it wasn't bad. My friends had this green salsa dip that was extremely spicy (I can't handle that stuff) but it just looked like green salsa mixed with sour cream (or something else to give it a creamy consistency). I had three steak tacos, which were not very memorable. There was basically only a few pieces of steak in each one, and it was all overcooked so it was kinda crunchy. The only other items in the taco were some shredded lettuce, some cojita cheese and a ton of sour cream. There was literally more sour cream than steak. The tortillas pretty much tasted like the ones I buy at the grocery store. Overall, this place is just eh, which is why I gave it the two stars (for meh, I've experienced better). The one positive is that the service is pretty good, and the waiter we had was super nice and checked back a lot (which is why I'm not giving it one star). There are far more Mexican places that are much better than this place, so I don't think I'll be coming back unless I'm forced to by my friends. read more

The food is the best around. Authentic and high quality. The staff are nice and do their best to keep things clean and moving well. My favorite menu item is the taco salad with grilled chicken. Well disappointed is an understatement. Three of us had the same thing and it was not good as in not eating it. Spoke to the manager he asked how everything was told him that it was horrible asked why told him it was completely like beef jerky all of the meat was so over cooked that you could barely cut it with a knife. Have you ever seen one of those old western movies where someone walks into a saloon and the music abruptly stops and the whole place just turns and stares? That's what Mi Cancun was like when I walked in one night. I'm not sure if this is a real restaurant or not. It felt like I was interrupting either a poker game or a drug deal, but it was apparent they were not interested in my patronage. There were at least 3 FOH staff standing in a corner staring and whispering together. It was the most uncomfortable restaurant experiences I have ever had. FWIW, there is nothing unusual about my appearance or the way I dress, so I know this was not a reason for the cold shoulder, but I am insure exactly what the problem was. Delicious! The guacamole cacero is the best. The carnitas (pork that one reviewer whined about being TOO crunchy/grilled) are exactly as carnitas should be and they do them perfectly....they're SUPPOSED to be grilled crispy. The hot wings are awesome even though this is a Mexican restaurant! Every time I come I try something new and I love it. The molcajete is amazing and if you ask for the spicy version, it's even better. These whiny reviewers must be impossible to please or trying to tear a fun little restaurant down, because every time I've been here I've had the sweetest servers, the best attention, fun karaoke on Saturdays and probably the best margaritas I've ever had. I had the absolute worst entree and best appetizer I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant at Mi Cancun today. I also had the least caring server and manager/owner experience ever in my life. I ordered the Guacamole Casaro (no, I am not misspelling Casero. I think they may have been.) off the chalkboard in the entry-way because it sounded good and is on special during lunch for $3.50. The waitress explained that it wasn't just homemade guacamole as the name would imply, but that it was onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, avocados and I don't know what else diced and mixed together. I asked how much jalapeno was in it and my server told me it depends on who the cook is and that with the cook on today she better tell him half jalapeno. Well, lack of consistency should have told me that they didn't have a capable, professional kitchen, but I continued with my order. I ordered the Burrito Grande, which is basically a pork burrito with beans, avocado and lettuce in it. While I waited for my food, I attempted to eat the chips and salsa. The chips could have stood to be warmed and rather than eating the salsa, I dripped it. Everywhere. It was so thin, it might as well have been red water. When the waitress brought a plate, I was excited to see my guacamole, but instead, I see a dry, overly-crisped edged burrito. I asked about my appetizer, thinking it had been forgotten, but I was told, no, it just had to be made fresh and took longer than the entree.. Now how does it take more time to chop a few raw veggies and throw them together on a platter than to cut and grill fresh veggies and roasted pork, plus warm a tortilla, chop an avocado to go inside the burrito and shove it all inside the tortilla with lettuce? The guacamole salad arrived a full 4 or 5 minutes after my entree. Clearly, the kitchen forgot about it and made it after my entree was served. But, back to the sad, dry burrito. There it was lying in the middle of a plate all, all alone. No queso, no garnish, no nothing. Then there were the aforementioned crispy edges. Somehow, they had burned the edges of the tortilla and they were all hard. I persevered and dug in, hoping for the best. My first bite of pork was accompanied with grilled onion and diced avocado and wasn't bad. But, three bites in, I hit a huge piece of flat, burnt, charred, hard pork. It seemed like it had been hanging out on the edge of the grill all day while they cooked for everyone else and after becoming charcoal for four hours, it was pulled over and folded into my burrito. My server wandered by and asked if everything was ok. I told her not really and described what I just told you. She said, "I'll go tell the cook." So, I think this is how they handle problems in this restaurant. I think she'll tell the cook and the manager will come over and ask if I'd like another one or if I want something else, but nothing happened. So, I figured this was what I was having for lunch. I ate a bit more and discovered the middle of the burrito was filled completely with beans. Nothing else, but a bit of wilted lettuce. (They either grill the lettuce or add it when the food is way too hot and it is terribly slimy and wilted because it is inside the tortilla.) I told the server it was just beans and she said she was sorry and asked if I wanted a refill on my Coke. I then just opened the tortilla and picked out the pork that was edible and the avocado. When the server brought the folder with the check, I asked her if I had to pay her or if i could pay up front. She said I could pay up front. I said thanks, got up and walked to the front. She followed me and went behind the counter to ring me up. I had been perfectly nice and polite until this point, but I finally snapped. I told her I asked if I could pay up front because I wanted to speak to someone else. I would think she would understand that. I asked to see the manager. She brings him out and its a man who is dressed like a server and who breezed by my table before I first complained and asked if everything was ok. I said at that time, in a very glum and disappointed voice, "Well, I guess it's only OK, but that's about it." He said, "Good" and walked away. So, now here he was in front of me as the manager. I told him what I have told you. He told me that I should have told him. Since I had told the server the details, I told him that I told HER! He said, but I didn't tell him. I very calmly told him that I don't work there. It was her job to tell him when I told her. I repeated that I don't work there and that she does. I don't know their protocol. After a bit more back and forth, I told him that the sad part is that the Guacamole Casaro was so good that I would go back just for that, but they obviously weren't going to adjust my bill or even be polite, so please just take my money and allow me to leave and that I would never be back. I would leave the rest of my words for my online review. And now I'm here. Did he make a wise customer service choice? read more
