Mi Patria is easily one of the best -- if not the best -- Mexican restaurants in Murfreesboro. The food is extremely good every time I go, and it always comes out hot and fresh, which is something I really appreciate. You can tell they care about the quality and getting it to the table right. The vibes inside are great as well. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, which makes it a really enjoyable place to sit down and eat rather than just rushing through a meal. It's also a perfect lunch spot for me because of how close it is to my workplace. When you combine the convenience with consistently great food and a good atmosphere, it's hard to beat. I came with a group of friends of 7. Seen bigger tables but I came in thinking the server should be as great as the other location but I didn't get that great first impression. Sat down and waited a few minutes then the waiter finally came by got our drink and food order. Service was sub par. He forgets everything too busy attending to the bigger table. Order molcajete but the fajita came out. So I sent that back. Cheese dip here too watery. Salsa too sweet for my liking. I say the food was ok I would eat here again. Orders were taken in a timely manner and delivery from the kitchen was very reasonable considering the crowd in the restaurant. I want to say I am grateful I let my daughter talk me into going back. She loves this restaurant. I do too now. Idk what they did but I swear this is not the same place I came into over a year ago. The atmosphere is lovely. Very busy place, as everyone wants to get in on Friday nights. The strawberry margaritas are strong and have a nice kick. The chips and salsa are delicious. The food, omg they actually made the best Al Pastor hands down I've ever had. I couldn't stop eating. So glad I gave this place another go. Thanks to my sweet daughter and her persuasion. I highly suggest going but if you don't like to wait in line don't go after 6 on a Friday night. Just saying. You may have a little bit of a line. I paid a visit with my wife and friends today. Service was fast, friendly, and prompt. The restaurant has a relaxing vibe with traditional Mexican ambience. The food was very good, and the portions were a ginormous. All of us wound up with a to go box with leftovers. I did not click any pictures of their food since I was with guests. My husband and I haven't tried any Mexican restaurants since moving to TN so we were on the lookout for one with good reviews. My sister recommended Mi Patria based on others suggesting it on social media so we decided to give them a shot! The restaurant definitely has the vibe going. I love all the decor they have and the fun colors! I ordered the strawberry margarita but unfortunately it tasted weird! Not sure what tequila they used but it was not good. However, their horchata is top notch! Tastes authentic and just the right amount of sweetness. My husband and I ordered their empanadas for our appetizer. We tried three flavors: shredded chicken and cheese, ground beef and cheese, and the shredded beef and cheese. All 3 tasted good! My favorite was the shredded chicken though. For our main course my husband ordered their fajita burrito and I got the spicy green burrito with shredded beef. Let me start off by saying their burritos are HUGE! Probably enough for two people to share. My husband said his burrito was good but once he tried mine he did say it was better than his. I didn't try his fajita burrito but I did like mine! I thought it was weird they cover most of their burritos in cheese sauce but it actually tasted pretty good! We also got their churros and ice cream for dessert and that was a nice ending to our meal. Their churros were nice and fresh! Paired with the ice cream was a nice touch. Our waitress was pretty good during our visit but she did disappear at the end when we wanted to pay our bill. Another waitress had to come and help us out. Overall I'd say Mi Patria was pretty good. Tried this place out for lunch. Very clean restaurant, friendly amd attentive staff. We each got burritos but can't remember the names of what we got and they were big as you can see in the photos. Food came out hot, flavorful with good seasoning and sauces. So much to choose from here that it will take us some time to a bit of everything. If you like spicy request their hotter sauce. It's fantastic. Service is great. Everything came out as expected. All very wonderful: except their music. Being newly renovated, it is very clean inside. Nice bar with several TVs to watch sports. The server we had may have been having an off day. Let's start off with the bad. - Friend ordered the Fiesta Nachos steak with extra cheese and Jalapeños. Fiesta nachos described on the menu is: Tortilla chips topped with whole black beans, rice & your choice of meat. Then topped with cheese dip, sour cream, pico de gallo & fresh jalapeño. Our server brings it out and it's just tortilla chips, cheese and jalapeños on the plate. Nothing else.. We told the server that we ordered the Fiesta Nachos with steak, extra cheese and extra jalapeños. She took it and brought it back and all they did was add steak on top, nothing else. The server asked us how we wanted it. So we said the same order and showed her the description on the menu. So she takes it back and 10 minutes later the correct order comes out. By this time the people in our group of 4 is already halfway through their meals. -charros frijoles- Was pretty bland and just honestly tasted like bean water. I don't know if it was the batch for that day. The Good Shots and alcoholic drinks were very good. Had a double Michealada with Pacifico. Was one of the tastiest in town. House margaritas were good. The Fiesta nachos were good after being corrected. The rest of the group enjoyed their food. Great prices too. Maybe it's just the grand opening. Idk. Mi Patria has spruced up the old Applebee's into a light, bright, clean, and festive restaurant. Our service was fantastic! We were seated quickly and my tea glass was never neglected. Food came out promptly. Good prices, too. Outside seating is available and parking is ample. Two things that makes them rise above the rest food-wise: Sweet tea was excellent (and you don't get excellent sweet tea just everywhere), and the salsa was fresh and among the best in town! Nice place, clean, decor was good, service was great, food was excellent. We keep looking for great Mexican in the Boro (we come from Nevada originally) and we think we found it. Everything was very well prepared and it is nice that they serve a taco on a separate dish so it doesn't get soggy from the sauces on the stuffed poblano and enchilada. We have eaten at a number of Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants both in Murfreesboro and Franklin. Mi Patria is now our favorite! We were seated immediately. Service was quick and the food EXCELLENT! My wife's fajita taco salad was large. She said it was the best chicken she has had. My burrito supreme with rice and beans was absolutely delicious. All the food was very fresh and had great flavor. Wow! Great food and excellent service! They recently opened in the old Applebees location. It's beautiful inside and there is outdoor seating. I ordered from the combination menu and got the Chile Poblano and the Beef Enchilada. Both were excellent! Be careful as the plates come out smoking hot and you could burn yourself if you're not careful. Salsa and chips were very good. We also ordered the cheese dip which was delicious.
