I had to give this place 5 stars because it has the biggest and the baddest pizza in town. I call in and pick up a pizza here probably 3-4 times a month. For living in west texas you just can't get a better pizza and that is including Jersey Girl! But I have eaten several other things on the menu and have never had a bad meal here yet. I really like the canneloni and the chicken rollitini is rich but very good also. The dishes on the specials menu are always good as well. Very generous portion sizes and decent prices. I love Zucchis, but for their seafood and steaks. This place is where to go if you just want some pasta and pizza. Tonight came in..floor is sticky under our table..so we move tables and sit and a dirty table that is crusty..you can't tell it's dirty till u put your arms down. Arguably the BEST chicken Parmesan I have ever had! I try chicken parm at every Italian restaurant I go to across the country and this one may very well be in first place! Great environment! I have been in Texas now off and on for 8 years. I have been in search of an amazing Italian restaurant like the ones I am used to up north. This place is definitely it! Every dish I have had has been phenomenal. The bread is to die for. Don't expect great service, but that seems to be the usual in the Permian Basin. We had fantastic service, everything was clean, the food was amazing. My husband had the chicken fettuccine, my mom had the eggplant parmesan, my step dad had the spinach lasagna and I had the seafood Mi Piaci. Every one was very happy with the food quality. The seafood Mi Piaci had mussels, shredded clam, shrimp and what I call baby scallops in a lovely white wine sauce over fettuccine noodles with just the right seasonings. The parmesan rolls were amazing. I only had 2 things I would change. 1.) I did not appreciate the flat screen televisions on the walls. I feel they take away from the ambiance. Also, the oil they serve with the bread was rather plain. It had garlic, spinach in it but you couldn't taste them. I'm not from this area and Mi Piaci was one of the first local places I dined at. I've eaten there numerous times. The servers have always been pleasant and most things that I have tried were tasty. The bread is wonderful plain or with dipping sauce. I almost always have yo bring a portion of my meals home in a carry out box. My favs so far have been the shrimp scampi and tour of Sicily. I also enjoy the desserts. One item I was curious about was their pizza. Seeing these giant presentations for dine in and takeout frequently made me wonder if this was the best offering in town. I would say it has the potential to be but is not quite there. Since Pizza is one of my favorites, I've had the authentic Italian in Naples, New York Style, and Chicago varieties. There is a huge gap from terrible to ok/average to excellent pizza. The size is impressive and the closest you will find to the New York style big foldable slices. I was hoping for something in between that and the fresh authentic taste of pizza I experienced in Naples. The slices were huge, however the taste was lost as it was overwhelmingly salty. This tasted as if salt was added on top of the already salty cheese, sauce, and meat added. If they can cut down the saltiness and improve the ingredients, this could be a showstopper. read more

It's a pretty good place if you like pasta, small and a great place to take a date. They also got pizza the size of your face. This place is a joke! Are you kidding me? Called in for pickup, and the order wasn't even close to what I ordered. Called in to see if I could get a refund for the food and they were so rude. We both love the food and service at Mi Piaci. We first tried it when we were in town wth family. Now we live in Midand and love to go eat there whenever we are in town. Hubby likes the Shrimp Cemora and says it is amazing. The Eggplant parm is awesome! Their "pink" sauce is my favorite on most anything. Meat balls the size of a baseballs! The portions are huge! You will have to take a box home. Only complaint is that the shrimp is ALWAYS over cooked and like rubber. They servelarge portions in bowls that are to small so its overflowing and bothers me that they don't get bigger bowls. The house salad is just iceberg lettuce but the ceasar salad is good. The bread is yummy. We recenly use the private room for a birthda party of about 20 people and the server did a great job. read more

I have eaten here twice. The food was delicious until I found a dead fly in my Hot Oil appetizer. Probably the most disgusting thing I have ever seen finding an oil covered fly on my bread right after I spooned it out with the garlic bits from the Hot Oil. I can only imagine that the kitchen is unclean and grotesque. Glad I noticed the bug before I digested it and ended up with worms. Hopefully the city of Odessa is inspecting it's restaurants for proper cooking conditions and that this was just a random isolated event. read more

This is the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in Odessa. I used to think the chicken rollatini was the best dish until I tried the chicken pasta Carbonero, which is out of this world and then I tried the lobster ravioli. I was expecting the usual small serving of ravioli like Olive Garden or Johnny Carinos but got a large plate with 8 to 10 large raviolis stuffed with cheese and covered in a delicious sauce containing large succulent chunks of lobster. This is now my go-to dish. Service is excellent. Highly recommend it. read more

Went for dinner. Moderately busy. Waitress didn't seem to understand what we were saying, brought wrong drink, no straws and seemed as if she was in her own world. Food is way overpriced and mediocre at best. Sampler is $14 and is an approximate 2 cup or less serving, very small. Disappointed bc all three came in the same small dish and tasted the same. Spaghetti and meatballs tasted like a box of Chef Boyardee and was also $14. Neither should've even been $10. Salad was bag lettuce with shredded cheese and drowned in ranch. Lettuce was brown on edges. Only good part of the meal was the soup and it was about 1/2 cup. Carino's and Olive Garden for sure. First thing I will say is the food is pricey - but the way it's served is "my" problem/ last few times we ate here 3-4 of us we have been seated in a booth - then a plate of Bread rolls are served with no hot oil then the waitress takes our orders - then she brings our drinks but here's the problem so we ordered hot garlic oil for the bread she brings it to our table then a few minutes later she brings us our salads then not even 5 minutes later she brings us our dinner plates STOP!!! With so many plates on our small booth table we haven't even finished nearly half of the salad we wanted - so to make room on the table we gave the salads back let's say half finished in order to make room for the dinner plates WOW what a waste of food Mi Piaci - the food is great - the service is great BUT WAY TO FAST for everything to be on the table - PLEASE GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS TIME FINISH THEIR SALAD BEFORE SERVING THEIR DINNER PLEASE - WAY TO MANY PLATES ON THE TABLE - coach your waitresses on this - if this continues only sit 2 people at a booth - next time hopefully I can give you 5 stars. Caesar salad minimal with upcharge. Do not order the Veal Marsala. It comes in a watery sauce that does not resemble or taste like Marsala. The veal tastes fried. Horrifying and gamey. Had to return it to chef who refused initially to take it off the bill. The coke is incorrectly mixed probably to save on the syrup cost. Although the chicken parm was bountiful, it also tasted strange and not necessarily recognizable. The soup was a thin greasy gruel and unacceptable. I have eaten dinner twice at Mi Piaci. Sadly, I was not impressed or even interested in going back again. For starters, both times I arrived, only to see several of their employees smoking and talking loudly in front of the restaurant. Probably the two stars I awarded was strictly for quantity of the food you are served but the quality, freshness and flavor of the dishes I ordered was lacking in many ways. Salads are drowned in gallons of thick dressings, poured over ice burg lettuce and grocery store bland tomatoes. Pasta is mounded onto the plate with gravy-like sauces poured over. The plates are so full you can hardly start without spilling onto the table. There are some delicious looking garlic-knot rolls served before the entrees but are mysteriously lacking in flavor. Also, and most disappointing for an italian restaurant, NO WINE!!! What? BYOB, really? OK, well, if you want to eat mounds of noodles with no flavor sauces, washed down with a large soft drink, this restaurant is for you. For the price of the food, more should be expected. read more

I love this place! The food is very good. Their prices are reasonable. Service is friendly and good. They don't hover over you but do notice when you need soemthing. A Mi Piaci Pizza is excellent and big. We often get them to take home. If you want something a little off the map, try the Chicken Murphy, it has jalapenos. Their soups are very good. The place is quiet enough that you can actually have a conversation. They don't sell alcohol, but do have very good iced tea and you can BYOB. read more

I have just moved to West Texas and was hoping this place would be a go to for my Italian fixes. This has to be by far the worst food I have ever eaten. The salad looked like it was fresh from a bag salad from Wal Mart. The "white sauce" was the wrost impersionation of sauce I have had. The chicken was tasted like fried chicken, I ate about two bies and sent it back. I did not even want to try somehing else. When we went to leave the woman at the register barely spoke two words and never asked about our meal. My order was clearly marked off the ticket, so unless she was blind it was really clear I was not happy.I am not sure if it was a bad night, or locals have no clue what real Italian food tastes like. read more

I heard great things about this Mi Piaci's. Everyone said that the food was great. I went there on a friday evening so it was a bit busy and the hostess was very unorganized, which is i guess is understandable. But there's not much good I can say about the service or the food. The waitress was completely unprofessional (This may have been her first job as a server) and had to have us repeat ourselves three times each then completely forgot to bring my husbands main course seconds after we asked about it. I can go on but this isn't about one waitress who was probably having a bad night. The "salad" I received (I wish I could post pictures) was about three leaves of lettuce and shredded cheese on a plate with what I can only assume was marinara sauce on it. I just looked at it and laughed. The entire thing could have been eaten in two fork fulls. I really wish I was exaggerating. I'm wondering if the chefs know what a salad is suppose to look like. If the answer is yes, then why are they serving things I would assume they wouldn't want to eat themselves....if the answer is no, then why are they in the kitchen? My husband (the human garbage disposal) couldn't eat the alfredo and said it was most likely the worst he had ever had. He always gets alfredo when he goes to italian places so I'm assuming he knows what he talking about. However, The pizza and bread was at least edible and somewhat enjoyable. Husband got the cannelloni and I got the pasta sampler. neither one of us liked the tomato sauce. too much acidity. cannelloni was supposed to have beef and we could not find any. after about 2-3 bites we took it home where I scraped off the tomato sauce, added some hamburger with Italian seasoning and some provolone. my do-over was much better. read more
