This place was awesome! My husband and I were in from out of town and had the lunch menu. Our server, Sela, was very kind and welcoming to us. He was quick to get us our drinks and our food and made sure we were taken care of. The food was great, we had more than enough and it will make for some great left overs! This place has the potential to have the best pizza in town. The problem is there is NO consistency in what you get from them. Sometimes its perfect but over 50 percent of the time the dough has been stretched so thin its like tracing paper in the middle. When you get ready to pick up a slice it tears in half. The middle of the pizza thats left may as well be eaten with a spoon. The one I picked up tonite was so soggy in the middle it was like mush. They did remake it for me and the second was the same way. I gave it back to them again and said just keep the money. Its not worth the hassle and I went to go eat elsewhere. Worst salad I've ever had. Just a pile of old iceberg and nothing else. You can get soup instead but my server couldn't tell me what was in the soup (why? I don't know) so I just got the plate of lettuce. Next time I'll just take my chances with the soup. I got some pasta trio which just turned out to be lasagna with three different kinds of noodles and way way way too much ricotta. My boyfriend got the chicken Alfredo which was amazing! We both had so much we barely put a dent in our plates and had plenty of leftovers! Will be back! But will Definitely be ordering something different. Oh and the BYOB thing is great! I would like to point out other reviews are over a year old, and you should not listen to them. My parents loved this restaurant and since we were in Odessa we thought we would try it. DONT GO!!!! The restaurant must have new owners or a new chef. The food is horrible. Yes the waitstaff is nice, we feel real sorry for the guy serving us. He has to serve hugh, messy, greasy portions to unknowing customers. The food is bland, HUGE, slopped on the plate. My soup had about a 1/4" red layer of oil on top of it, and it had no flavor. My husbands and our pasta was majorly over cooked to mush, and covered on tomato sauce that could have been out done by the jar in the grocery store. My husband eats anything, but even this was beyond he's taste level. When I told my mom about the food, she said it used to not be like that, so like I said earler, must have undergone some changes. Been going there for a year, and the food is Good (Hold Back On The Salt). Until last night our waitress screwed up and lost our credit card. We had a very large group with us and at the end of the dinner, she collected everyone credit cards. To help her out, I folded the receipt around the card and placed on the counter in front of her and told her what I had done. I waited for her to return mine to me. I would not have gotten upset if she hadn't acted as If it was my fault the card was lost. She acted very rudely and handle the situation very poorly. You need to train your staff for better customer service. For example " I'm sorry for the mix-up, and will do what I can to fix it the situation". Instead, I got " I hadn't rung your ticket up so, Now what"... She found 20 min later in a drawer. No real apology for her screw up! HUGE pizza, and good. The soup, any kind they make is worth the trip there. We never leave without taking food home, servings are big. They make their own bread. The food is made fresh everyday, Even the kids meals are big. They will split a dish for 2 if you want. We love the private booths. They have 2 party rooms, one is private, the other is semi private. I've gone over the past 2 years and was very very dissapointed with how the pasta had no flavor. My wife and two friends said the same thing. Asked the waiter to taste, he did and said the same thing. When I paid I told the owner and she said " same cook" and he says nothing has changed?". I wasnt wanting a free meal but a simple I'm sorry I'll look into it. Yea big portion, but making up for it cause food was horrible. She has lost a loyal customer. Why did someone delete my post about our experience at Mi Piaci last Friday? The people have the right to know we were served and made to pay for food that was spoiled and ruined. If you are only going to allow good comments on here then you need to state that. We have always eaten there and never had a problem before Friday when we were served food that was spoiled. Even our waiter tasted it and said it was spoiled the owner would not come talk to us he was in the kitchen and said he did not have time. Can I give them 0 stars? I'd like to. My husband and I went here for our date night out. I ordered the Tortellini Mi Piaci, and upon presentation, it looked great. A couple of spoonfuls in, I found a huge spot of what looked like dirt. Upon closer inspection, I suspect it was debris from the mushrooms not having been washed properly, you know, the manure they were grown in. So I politely brought it to the attention of the waiter, who apologized profusely and said he'd make it right. We were offered another plate, but my husband's plate was now cold and we asked to just pay for what was eaten and we'd leave. We were charged for both plates....full price. When I inquired about this, the manager/co-owner told me we put the dirt in my pasta. She said that the chef was her husband and he didn't do it, so I must have taken my shoe off, pulled dirt from it and put it in my pasta to receive a free meal....the one I refused, and offered to pay for the plate of food my husband never ate. Might I add, my shoe had a smooth sole and was completely clean, a fact I pointed out. I asked her if she was serious, accusing me of tampering with my own food, and she told me to get out of her restaurant. Not somewhere I, or my family members, will EVER go back to. The food was just okay. They did however have a waiter that really sang their praises over and over and over. Service was fantastic. We have been to Italy and it tasted nothing like Italian food we were served there. Too much Oregano I think. read more

I have to agree with some of the other reviews in clearly stating that if you don't mind spending the bucks to get a starter salad that consists of a piece of lettuce topped with ranch then you have it made. Portions are large by all means but food in my opinion has little or no taste. Owners are not even Italian or even close to begin with. read more

My family and I heard great things about this restaurant, but boy was I suprised. We heard it can get packed espically if you come with 8+ people so we made reseravations 1 week prior. When we arrived the cashier gave us an unpleasant look and grudgely escorted us to our reserved seats. After settling down and reciveing both our drinks and sides for our respective meals a lady (who I later found out to be 1 of the owners) rudley forced us to move because a larger party was coming in. We made reservations for that to specifically not happen! After reciving our respective meals I found a hair in the frozen center of my lasagna! Immediately bringing this to our waiters attention he informed us that the cook (who is the other owner) refused to make us another item and I was still responsible to pay for my tainted meal! The past 2 times we have ate at this establishment, the quality has gone DOWNHILL. This place is horrible now and for the price of the food, you would expect great Italian food as it used to be. The first occasion we ordered a pizza to go. The middle of the pizza was NOT cooked and the dough was still raw. The second occasion was this past Friday(9-26-14), I ordered the chicken alfredo, which I ALWAYS order. When it came out to the table, my order was nothing but noodles, chicken, and OIL! There was NO alfredo to it. Just looked like they melted the butter, put a ton of parsley, with a sprinkle of parmesan. It was HORRIBLE! So as we waited for our server to come back so I could inform her of the horrible meal, she never came. We stopped the cashier lady that was running around to inform her that my meal was not edible, she looked at me and said "Chicken Alfredo?" (rudely) I said yes and she rushed off away from the table without me being able to say another word to her. Then 10 minutes later she brings me a TO GO order of chicken alfredo. Out of curiosity, I looked at the to go order and it was the SAME as the one they took away! I did NOT accept that. Once I took a bite into my original order, I lost all appetite. My co-workers were very surprised at the service and our meals all together. We were all disappointed. After my 2 last occasions, we have decided not to return to Mi Piaci. read more

I would give this place a negative one if possible, I used to love eating here. Me and my girlfriend decided to eat here for our anniversary and it was awful the food seemed to be carelessly thrown together and I hope they get their act together and do better because this place has the potential to be a great restaurant. But as of now I would never pay to eat this quality of food again. read more
