Fancy nachos are a big hit. Each nacho is loaded...it's not a mound of chips. Got the chicken....he loved them. Got the queso with beef. A little thick, but still good. They have a "hotter salsa" if you ask for it. Brisket tacos were delicious. Rice is a little bland, but added some salsa and it was good. He got the guiso verde with beef. If I could leave a - minus - star review I would! The Chile Releno tasted nasty and the cheese sauce tasted nasty and was like watered down chicken broth. It was totally the worst experience I've ever encountered and they wanted us to pay 50%, Picture shows what could not be eaten, total bill $40. The lady's working couldn't make a decision and we said we have to leave and you need to make a decision when all of a sudden let's make you pay 50% and they threatened the cops, if we left without paying. We're almost 70 and newlyweds and way past senior discount yrs that started some 17 yrs ago and to be treated in such a manor, when we could not eat the meal presented! It's was around 5 pm and I'm a diabetic and that turned out to be the only lunch I had. IT WAS NOT EDIBLE! Too much blue on the inside dining, too much noise from grinding ice for margaritas. This place is great. Some of you people don't know what gratuity is. It's a standard if the service was exceptional you can tip extra. If it's too much for you. Food is decent but they think tip and gratuity are two different things. We had more than 6 at our table and the automatic 18 percent was added to our bill. When I noticed it at the checkout I advised the others the tip was spreader added. The cashier said "that is gratuity not tip". I told her they are the same but she said "no, gratuity is for the table and tip is for the waitress ". read more

I will never eat here again. The food is absolutely gross and the service is terrible. We went Sunday afternoon before it was busy. My server was not nice. She acted as though we were an inconvenience to her. When she brought my food it was wrong and she had take it back and when she brought it back you could tell they scraped the cheese off the enchilada and poured the chili con carne on top of it and you could tell it was watered down. I cut the enchilada in the middle and the cheese was not melted it was shredded store bought cheese. The taco meat was grey, I tasted it and was gross and took the plate from my son. I spelt my glass over on the table, I had to get up and wipe the ice and water off my jeans and shirt and not one employee came to help me and I immediately asked for the check. Again they were NOT BUSY. I told the cashier that I spilled a glass of water and nobody came to help me clean it up and she actually told me someone is cleaning it now. I'm going to give this place a two star and the reason why they bought my food. It was good. They never came back one time and asked me if I needed anything or how I was doing. Then when noticed I was done they came back and picked up all my dishes didn't ask me if I needed anything. It was my first time here I thought when I saw a guy across the way get his check and credit card picked up, I thought they might come get my credit card and check, but no, I sat there Literally for 30 minutes. Just scrolling on my phone never came and Got my check or Credit Card. I went up to leave to check out myself nobody was up there to check me out looked over to my left and Two girls on their phone could clearly see me standing up there, but didn't come up there to check me out until I looked over at them. I was there a few weeks ago, along with a few friends of mine. Ms. Maggie was there taking care of multiple tables and us, not letting anyone down. We were served promptly and asked about refills and quality of food frequently. We all felt like we were at our Mother's dining room table with the service Maggie provided! Go! Go to this amazing family establishment! They are under new ownership and this family and staff are amazing. We kicked ourselves for not taking pictures of the food, restaurant, and new menu. I ordered Shrimp tacos with rice and beans instead of the salad, and it was fire. My fiancé ordered the San Luis plate. YUM! Again, please forgive this review! Zero pictures of the food and updated menu. It is all brand new! BUT, they are still trying to establish there identity as they are under new ownership. Literally zero bad things to say. They all come back to eat, Mi Pueblito is literally one of the best restaurants on the lake. All of you that say other wise just aren't patient enough when they actually get super busy. The pros are the food and service was great! Cons are they have obnoxious garage style flouresant lights that are super bright they should turn them off and just use the fan lights and ambiance would be so much better!!! Terrible service. Asked for the strongest margarita they have, on the rocks, no salt. It was a large lemonade as far as margaritas go. Hostess took our drink order, never got water and the rim was salted on the so called margarita. Saw the waitress for our order, husband went in to buy tequila for our lemonade/rita, waitress delivered food. Never saw her again. An employee walked by (outside) for some other reason and saw us waiting with empty plates and no drinks, thankfully he turned around to ask if we were ok. We asked for the check which we never got. After about 10 minutes, we went inside to pay, if we were anyone else, we would have just left... the guy who walked by us was as the counter, our waitress asked him in Spanish what we need and he told her we'd been waiting on the check. She dismissed him and us and went back to whatever she was doing. Maybe they don't work for tips here... don't waste your time.
