I ordered 9 tacos with the salsa on the side. I called before my husband went to get it because every single time this specific woman takes my order it's wrong. EVERY TIME. I spoke with a different girl when calling to confirm. She said yes, there is salsa on it and extra on the side. I explained I order it on the side due to certain health conditions and instead of remaking the order... they insisted that my husband come in and re order it to make sure they make it right. It was somehow to hard to just remake the tacos with the salsa on the side. They literally wouldn't remake it unless he came in to re order it in person and stand there while they made it. The girl insisted that it was my fault because I said, "with the salsa on the side" instead of "no sauce on it" her specific words. Maybe instead of blaming your customers for miscommunication, you should have someone answer the phones who can communicate clearly. Horrible customer service! If I could give them zero stars, I would. Won't be coming back to this establishment! read more

It's like your typical American Mexican restaurant (like an El Torito), except the regular dishes are not as good. Try one of the specials though because that's what the cook seems to actually want to make. Example: the pozole is pretty decent and quite huge. read more

This place is just okay. I expect more from a Mexican restaurant. I would like a more authentic taste. The price is good. The customer service for take out is awesome. The cashier is super sweet and keeps you company when waiting for your order. The waitress when eating in can get distracted and takes a while when and if you want a refill or need something extra. read more

Always a pleasure getting my food here. It's close to home and the food is great. I LOVE their refried beans. I had their quesadilla, which was small but good. The cheese they use is very tasty. Highly recommend trying the fajitas. The "Burrito Seco" is their biggest burrito and one of my favorites as well, I always let them know which Ingredients I don't like and they always accommodate my request. I'm glad they are still open during this crisis. I'll be coming back more often. read more

Even though this is a small town,the use of the name is not what it should be.Im from San Diego and the food here honestly isn't that great.After reading some of the reviews I can see that most of the people who made a review have not had REALTY Mexican food from the south.Any restaurants down past LA will be decent but if your in San Diego going towards the border then you will have good quality food.The food here is way to over priced for the quality of the food your paying to eat.They don't have a California burrito on the menu so I made on here and the ingredients were good just not the tortilla they used for the burrito.The only reason why I came in here was to try it out and I have to wait 3 hours because I wasn't accepted to visit my uncle in jail. read more

We ate at Mi Pueblo for the first time tonight for dinner. I had shrimp in a garlic butter sauce. It was delish! Hubby had steak ranchero which he is really picky about. He dislikes it when the steak ranchero has a runny sauce. But tonight it was thick and flavorful. He said it was very good compared to steak ranchero at other Mexican places. The prices are reasonable and the wait staff was very friendly and came back frequently to fill our glasses and see if we needed anything and she was very friendly. The place is decorated nice and with bright colors and clean. We will be back! read more

If you're expecting the regular Mexican fare that any place makes, well, you just came to your best friend's grandma's place to eat (not really, that's the owner back there cooking). Get your taste buds out of park, and taste the difference. And while you're at it, get off the taco/burrito gig and try a real dish. I'd recommend the Pescado ala Mantequilla if you like fish. OMG! A small family restaurant in the back of a shopping center, decent decor and wonderful food and service. We made the drive down from Angels Camp to escape our local mex joint and we're very pleased to find a superior alternative. Had the Carnitas and meat was plentiful and flavorful with just enough Manteca in the recipe, very flavorful. read more
