It's a pretty solid spot to order delivery from. I like the food here. Lomo Saltado is great! Roasted chicken is a little bit dry but the green sauce is perfect for that. Overall it's a nice place.

I've been hearing amazing things about this place for months and I finally made it here for lunch. No frills inside but the vibe is inviting. Ordered a lomo saltado and pork adobada tacos, both dishes were fantastic. Their aji for the lomo was flavorful and has just enough spice. I'll definitely be coming back here!

This place is amazing. Awesome location in harbor point in walking distance from my apartment. Had never tried Guatemalan or Peruvian food but oh my god so good. Huge portions and large menu, all at a fabulous price! Great hours and fast service, we always get take out. Definitely try the flan if you come here- huge huge portion and so so good. Overall love this place!

Lomo Saltado and calamari. The calamari could have been cooked less, as it is fish.

Very very poor service. Never got chips with salsa, as the other tables around us did. Took the server 10 minutes to take out order. My boyfriend and I share everything, we never got extra plates, even after asking. We weren't even given two plates for our appetizers. The lomo Saltado meat was dry. The original Mi Ranchito is wayyyyy better.

This place is Peru without the flight. I last had lomo saltado at a little stand in a market in Lima and the dish here equally rivals that. The to go portion is easily three servings. They had everything ready to pick up in ten minutes which is a major plus. It's hard to deliver flavor like this that fast.

Nice place. W. Peru/Guatamla flavor. It was clean. Pretty decor. Friendly, but Service was lacking. Menu had a lot of the old Peru standards. I had a tasty reasonably priced tamal platter. And they have the Fussbol game.

As many times as I've been here I never thought to write a review. Well that changes today!…read more Decor Clean, dim, fairly small/intimate. It's not so small that you can't move around but during peak hours you may be shoulder to shoulder with another party. BUT if you get there at a decent time you should be good with space. Service Everyone is friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. No complaints here. Food No exaggeration, but I can't remember a time when I had a bad order or something that I wouldn't order again. Here are some of my favorite items: Chaufa - fried rice with your choice of protein. Anything from chicken, pork, fish, and steak. They have it all...and it's all good! Fish Chunks - lightly fried, crispy, seasoned perfectly! Lomos - if you're looking for a hearty meal that will either put you to bed (IMMEDIATELY!) or provide you with a leftover meal for the next day...this is it. I highly recommend upgrading to the Cadillac Lomo which uses filet cuts of steak *chefs kiss* Half or Whole Chicken - if you're looking for something simple. Perfectly seasoned, crispy where it needs to be, and not a dry piece to be found! I'll get that with a side of veggies (which are banging) and I'm straight. Pisco Sour - let me say that the sangrias are good but the Pisco Sour is my 100% go to. I can't even really describe it but trust me...it's good! That's all for my recommendations but honestly I don't think you can make a bad pick even if you don't choose something I detailed above. Also, if you decide to dine in they bring you the warm toasted bread with that Aji Sauce that might as well be liquid gold! Misc. Acuario is consistent with great service and an Aji sauce that will change your life. Until next time...

"Some lunches surprise you. Others quietly raise your standards."…read more We came to Acuario for Restaurant Week, and it felt like one of those rare moments where value and quality meet without compromise. For starters, we had the tostones and the Papa Yuca appetizer. The tostones were crisp and golden with a soft center, paired with salsa criolla and garlic sauce that added brightness and depth. The Papa Yuca was comforting and rich, coated in a creamy sauce that felt balanced rather than heavy. Both dishes tasted intentional, not like scaled back lunch specials. They also brought complimentary bread with aji verde, and that sauce deserves its own recognition. Fresh, herb forward, and slightly spicy, it was incredibly addictive and elevated everything it touched. For the main, we ordered the lomo saltado, and it easily stood out. The beef was tender, the onions and tomatoes were sautéed just right, and the sauce carried bold flavor without overwhelming the plate. The fries held their texture under the sauce, and the rice brought everything together. It may honestly be the best lomo saltado in Stamford. Service was warm and attentive. Even during Restaurant Week, we never felt rushed. Staff checked in thoughtfully and kept the experience smooth from start to finish. The ambiance added to the experience. The space feels welcoming and lively without being chaotic. It has a comfortable neighborhood energy, the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed lunch but still feel like you are somewhere special. Acuario delivered on food, service, and atmosphere. Five stars without hesitation.

I want to start with the fact that our food was delicious. We weren't planning on coming here…read moretonight, but walking by, someone sitting in the window had a huge plate of calamari that looked delicious, so we decided to go in, sit at the bar and get some calamari. We walked in and sat at the bar. Andres was very attentive and friendly. we ordered a Pisco Sour and pisco punch and calamari. All good. then my husband decided he wanted ceviche and I ordered chaufa de pollo, and then Tallarines Verdes(to bring home). Our drinks were very good. It took a long time for our food to come because our food was given to someone else. They were apologetic and said they'd give us some special drink pricing. But it was interesting to hear them tell the people next to us that they didn't have to pay for the food that they were accidentally given, even though they sat there and ate the entire thing, while we were the ones waiting and it wasn't even their food! The calamari(although MUCH smaller portion that what we saw at other tables and other people at the bar) and ceviche. the chaufa de pollo were very good. We ate. bit of all and took a lot home. Except my husband ate all of the ceviche... The owner came over and apologized about the wait/error. We got the bill, it was the wrong bill, I told him and he gave us the right one, but no discount or drink special on it... we paid and left. Again food was good, but service from the kitchen was spotty.

It wasn't busy and this is a good sized restaurant with plenty of dine in and counter seating and very clean inside this location. They have been open for a month. Menu is very similar to other locations throughout CT. I definitely recommend stopping in to have a bite to eat lunch or dinner.

Our…read morefavorites included the fresh ceviche (even for takeout!), and the tangy-and-mildly-spicy aji sauce, and the papas a la huancaína to round out the meal. Although the meat in the lomo saltado was a bit dry and it could have done without the soggy fries under the bed of rice, nothing that a little aji couldn't solve. Nonetheless, for takeout, it's hard to expect much better. We ordered four dishes for five people and the portions were more than enough; we couldn't finish everything! Just as with their food, the takeout service was superb. The restaurant worked with us to schedule an 11am pickup--right at opening time--so we could get the food in time for our event. Overall, we were impressed by the quality of the food, even as we played the role of food critics. Most notably, the authenticity and richness of the food struck us as a quality to remember. We (hopefully) will be back, maybe for next year's fiesta!
