Grilled chicken with rice and beans

This place is disgusting . I Ordered a small and big size grilled chicken with rice and beans. Both grilled chicken was OD covered with the orange seasoning sazón de Goya. It wasn't enjoyable at all. My husband and our child couldn't eat it. This isn't the first time they have done this. This restaurant deserves a 0 rate. Just nasty. Never going back

My boyfriend used to get this literally every day. When we first started dating I came here a few times & it was so good! We would get chicken with rice, avocado & a fried egg on top. I stopped coming because I stopped eating meat, fish & chicken & I found their vegetarian options were very few. Tonight I decided to come & try a few things off the side orders! I got rellenitos, black bean pupusa, white rice, an avocado, an egg & yucca fries. One thing I did notice was, mostly everything I ordered was fried..... I would give this place 5 stars for taste & everything but giving it 4 in hopes they read my review & maybe add in a few vegetarian / vegan options. Then, I will change it to 5! Everything was delicious & fresh. No complaints! Just too bad the vegetarian options are all fried :(

This is a quaint place to eat relatively inexpensive and depending on the chef the food is great.

I get better chicken fried rice from any Chinese restaurant.

This is my second time ordering from them. Both times were pick up. Both times the food was bland and mediocre. What warrants the 1 star review was what happened when I gave them a second chance and the horrible service I received. The woman on the phone confirmed my order and repeated it back to me correctly. Positive - the order was ready within the 20 minute timeframe they gave. Negative - they messed up the order giving us two sopas (soups) instead of two chaufas (chicken w rice). Unfortunately we didn't realize the mistake until we got home. I called them back and they played a game of pass-the-blame/phone that concluded with the woman on the other end laughing at us. I thought maybe she was goofing around with a coworker in the back. I return less than 15 later, with the soups to be returned, and the woman behind the counter laughed at me. Some guy came from the back and said I owed $12 for the difference. WHAT!?! I came back to the restaurant, in the pouring rain, returned the incorrect food, etc. Instead of apologizing for the error & inconvenience, I get this treatment? I really regretted the $4 tip I had left from earlier that night. Once we got the correct food, it was bland & underwhelming. Plus the tamales, the few parts of original order they got right, was like a Wal-Mart version of what it should be. The masa wasn't season, there's 1 gram of meat to every 15 grams of masa. Conclusion - don't waste your time on mediocre food & crappy service, especially when there's so many great Latin American restaurants in Stamford.

My favorite Peruvian restaurant. Lomo saltado is amazing and I love their pork chops. Food is consistent and good service.

Ordered the jalea personal(fried seafood) dish and it was enough for two people and quite tasty. The aji was good as well.

I was meeting up with a few friends I hadn't seen in what felt like forever, so I wanted to find a…read morespot that would make the occasion special. After doing a little research, I came across The Wheel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch. Finding the entrance was a little confusing at first, and parking took a minute to figure out, but I eventually learned you can park for free at the Village next door, which made things much easier. Once I arrived, I was immediately greeted and shown to the outdoor seating area. Walking through the restaurant, I was impressed by how beautiful the property is. It is incredibly spacious, sits right on the water, and even has an additional outdoor area next door where you can relax away from the restaurant. The views alone make this place worth visiting. Our server, Freddy, was fantastic. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu, answer questions, and offer recommendations, which made the experience even better. Now onto the food. To start, we shared the Breakfast Pizza, topped with smoked bacon, crispy potatoes, roasted garlic, mozzarella, two eggs, and fresh cracked black pepper. It was a fun twist on brunch and had great flavor. We also ordered the Shrimp and Grits, made with cheddar grits, wild caught shrimp, a poached egg, and chimichurri. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich looked outstanding. Made with organic Murray's chicken, hot honey, coleslaw, and dill pickles, it came with fries and disappeared quickly. For my entrée, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, featuring grilled hanger steak, two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and chimichurri. The steak had excellent flavor, although I ordered it medium and it came out closer to well done. It was my only real issue with the meal. We also tried a couple of cocktails. The Orange Crush was refreshing and perfect for brunch, while the bourbon, Aperol, peach, Earl Grey, and lemon cocktail was smooth, balanced, and equally enjoyable. Dessert was the perfect ending. The Take 5 Sundae with peanut butter crunch, pretzels, whipped cream, vanilla bean caramel, chocolate ice cream, and hot fudge was absolutely delicious. We also had the Tres Leches, topped with strawberries and vanilla whipped cream, which was light, moist, and a great way to finish the meal. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious. Aside from the slightly confusing entrance, parking, and my overcooked steak, the entire experience was outstanding. The waterfront setting, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and quality food make this one of the best brunch spots in Stamford. I will definitely be back. Next time I already have my eye on the Banana Buttermilk Bread, Village Breakfast, Braised Short Rib Hash, Wheel House Burger, Margherita Pizza, Smoked Salmon Pizza, and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich for myself. For drinks, I want to try the Charred Citrus, One in a Melon, and the Orange Crush. And I definitely need to save room for the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.

Favorite dish selections per voting of the table, were the brussel sprouts (~$20), calamari (~$20), and NY strip (~$50) specifically because of the tallow fried rice that laid underneath the steak! Although we enjoyed the quality and quantity of food, the service was quite slow. Our waitstaff didn't come by very often to take drink orders, refill water glasses, or follow up. It didn't seem too busy that evening, so we were a bit surprised. We stayed in the dining room on this trip, but hope to come back for a nice evening when the outside patio area is available.

We absolutely loved everything about it. Might even go back again today! We were staying on a boat at Safe Harbor Yacht Haven and it was an easy walk. Here's what we tried: Clam Chowder - As thick as I've ever had and very good. Mussels - White wine broth and very good, but maybe a little sand in some of them. Goat Cheese Quesadilla - Excellent French Dip - Excellent Fish and Chips - Very good Service was as good as it gets, prices were reasonable. This place checks off every box for casual fun dining. Loved it!

There was a event which is great but everyone seem preoccupied for the event. Perhaps they should have closed for the event. The patio was closed for event. This made us very sad...wish we could have just taken a pic. -French onion soup- was way too salty -Cali burger- small but delish. I think they use gauc and not just plain avocado. But it was excellent. -Steak sandwich...dry and flavorless and didnt look like what jungkook and jimin ate on the show. -Fries- wasnt hot and was mid. I feel like none of the food was hot though. Maybe just the soup. We could have stopped by again on our way to NYC but ...we didnt. There was a friendly doodle that was the highlight of this visit. Was so cute. Oh and prayers to Jen and her family
