Today was my sons graduation and we decided to go to Mi Rancho. PARTY OF 20 This was the Biggest regret and mistake, I thought it was doing to be a nice evening. It took forever to get our food, the food didn't come out together. We had to keep reminding the server about food our guests didnt get. Then to top it all off. We were rushed up from the table because they had another RESERVATION AT 7PM. IM SORRY WHERE THE HELL DOES THIS HAPPEN AT? I ordered a shredded chicken taco salad, super basic, and disappointing. The shell was burnt and crumbly, a quarter inch thick piece of tomato. The inside was soupy and completely disintegrated the bottom of the shell. I usually love this place but it is slowly crumbling just like this salad over the years. read more

The food here used to be so good. I had enchiladas Supreme. Nothing Supreme about it. It's 4 wet, heavy tortillas, one with a scoop of beans, one with a spoon of ground beef, one with 3 small pieces of unflavored, salty chicken, and one with something I have no idea what was in it. They throw some lettuce on top, a slice of tomato and the slightest sprinkle of cheese covered with an unrecognizable red sauce.. No other cheese, whatsoever. If you want soggy rubbery tortillas, then this is the dish for you. We told them, but no discount on food, no apology, no nothing, other than 3 different people coming to the table to ask if everything tasted OK. It didn't, but it didn't matter to them. I would like to start out by saying that I have a legitimate service animal. We have eaten at this particular location numerous times throughout the past 5 years, with absolutely no issues whatsoever. This has now changed. Over the past two visits I feel as though we're being talked about behind our back and moved to the furthestst reaches of the restaurant due to my service animal. Getting seated now seems like quite a chore it honestly takes about 5 minutes, which it shouldn't, with various servers arguing about what to do with the service animal. This was never the issue before. Please inform me what has changed with this restaurant? This fiasco severely messes with the ambiance and satisfaction of the visit. The food on this trip was just mediocre, nothing special, but our draft beer was room temperature. We don't understand why this is happening all of a sudden, but for this reason we won't be back. So, we have gone to Mi Rancho on Richland Avenue several times. It was always ok. I wasnt stoked on going tonight, so we decided to try this other location. Excellent Choice!!! The decor is supercooL. It made me feeL Like we were in The Southwest. It's modern, too, like newer construction compared to other locations. i was expecting a mariachi band to come singing from around the corner! OhmyGoodness! The refried beans are sOo good! My chimichanga was absolute yum! The waitress was so sweet and attentive. i Asked for extra spicy, and the kitchen put fresh jalapeños inside the changa, AND! they brought me a rAd in house special hot sauce made from scratch! DEE-LiSh!!! My husband loved his beef burritos. He got Queso instead of red sauce over the tops of them. He was so happy with it. And, the waitress told us about the special on Lime Margaritas tonight, and they were so good, he had two! Highly recommend this Mi Rancho! read more

I am giving this restaurant 3 stars because the waiter was professional yet friendly. Quite attentive. I had the grilled steak. Two thin steaks with onions. Not many onions and the steak was a bit tough. I also had the tamale. The sauce on the tamale really wasn't necessary. I didn't like it. The tamale was tiny and hardly had meat in it. Their menu is just like any other Mexican restaurant that is not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Every numbered item is the same in all restaurants even if a different name. read more

The service is horrendous! My son and I stopped in at 830 Saturday night, the place was dead. Two couples leaving as we sat down. Waiter took our order and served us drinks and chips quickly. That's the last time we saw him. 10 minutes later another gent, perhaps the mgr, took our order. 30 mins pass, I'm looking around to ask about our order. Find a 3rd gent that barely understands English. He offers free round and disappeared. Finally after 45 mins food comes out. We were the only ones there!!! We eat it and ask for the bill. They tried to charge me for the free round on the final bill!! The pre-bill did NOT have them listed! Tried to pull a fast one but I didn't allow it. Will not be going back there. The bean enchilada tasted like canned refried beans, without even garlic and oregano. Chicken enchilada was just dry chicken. Cheese enchilada was canned nacho cheese sauce. We went here as part of a large group. Our order was wrong which was honestly just a simple misunderstanding. We found out the manager was the one that actually took the order. When the food came out we got 2 items we did not order and we explained the issue to the lady. We were not upset or anything. The manager then came out and was very rude about it. He very disrespectful to my wife to the point I spoke up. He spoke horrible English which did not help. He wanted to argue about who was right and we just wanted what we ordered. We even told him we would pay for the wrong food too. He repeatedly said he wasn't wrong and we were saying we do not care who was wrong just bring us what we asked for. My wife was so upset by his attitude she didn't want to eat the replaced food for obvious reasons. I have never had a manager take something to this level just to try and be right. read more

One of me and my boyfriends favorite spots. Good, and reasonably priced beer, good music, and a fun environment. They have awesome steak quesadillas and my favorite (I kinda made it up) is grilled shrimp with cheese dip poured on top with a side of rice. Mix it all together and it's perfect or ask for some tortillas and eat it with them. Their salsa is always good too. We usually request Edith as our server because she's so good to us, but the times we haven't had her, the others have always been good too. It's a great hangout spot for people of all ages and a great place to catch some yummy food. They offer outdoor seating, they are reasonably priced, and booths or tables are available. They also have a private party room that's able to be requested. They have a full bar as well. We will be back very soon :) read more

I used to love this place. Two years or so ago, this place was fantastic. The service was quick, the staff was friendly, the value was competitive, and the food was top notch. This is the winning combination for any successful restaurant; and it was... for a while. I had concerns about this place once their major competitor went out of business, and it now seems my concerns were justified. First, I noticed that their service seemed to be getting a bit slower, then the salsa started being way too acidic (too much lime?), then the nacho chips seem to be bought in instead of fresh made (if they are still fresh made, they need to go back to their old recipe or stop reheating the same ones over and over). Last night was the last straw, the cheese sauce seemed to be just microwaved crap, but that's as far as I got. I was seated, immediately asked my server to bring some cheese sauce, which he did after a few minutes, and that was the last I heard from him. Fifteen minutes go by, not a check up on me, no asking to see if I was ready to order, and I WASN'T EVEN ASKED WHAT I WANTED TO DRINK, AND OBVIOUSLY NEVER GOT ONE. After 15 minutes of waiting, another couple was seated. Within a few minutes, they had their drinks and their orders were taken. THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT BUSY YET! NO EXCUSE FOR THIS! I was blatantly ignored by my waiter. As much as I hate to give up on a place, I'll have to give up on Mi Rancho. The food has turned to garbage and I will not tolerate being ignored. It's *not* my job to tell the waiter that he hasn't taken my order. If the place was packed, I could understand waiting; this wasn't the case. This was our second time to visit and we were not impressed at all. We were given chips and salsa and by the time the waiter came to get our drink order the chips were have gone. A salsa refill was brought to our table, but no chips. Maybe the extra salsa was for the chicken enchiladas because the chicken was very dry. You could tell the beans came out of a can and the rice tasted like white rice with a dash of tomato added for "authentic" color. Horrible service here. We waited for about 15 minutes after we ordered drinks before they took our food order. Different waitresses took our drink order and food order. Then a different runner brought our food. Not one of the three ever came back. Never asked how things were. Never refilled our drinks. I needed a take out order and had to go to the register, ask for my bill, and put in the order. Because to reiterate, NO ONE EVER CAME BACK TO OUR TABLE. Then we waited for 30 minutes for ONE takeout burrito and watched the lady taking orders be very rude to another takeout customer because she wanted to separate her order into two payments. My family used to go to this place often. It has went down hill so far, I will never go back. The last 2-3 times we went (it was a favorite for us so we gave it multiple times to prove itself) it was just horrible. We had a party of 3. We were the only customers they had at the time, the place was literally empty with only workers. We were seated and the server asked us what we wanted to drink. After getting our drinks and chips it was about 40-45 minutes before we saw our waiter again. He literally forgot about us. We never even got to order our food. We left and he said he normally would have to charge us for the chips and drink but wouldn't this time. How about just doing your job? The last time - Party of 2 during a downtime of business with only 1 other table. My food was steaming hot on the center and gooey. The middle of my burrito and even taco was cold. The chile relleno was is a pool of grease. This meal basically screamed microwaved food. My wife's taco salad looked as if someone had dumped a can of ravioli on top. Waaaay too much sauce on a salad. I mentioned this to my server who told me my food was not microwaved. I told him well it's cold in the middle so how does that happen. I then asked to speak to a manager and was told there isn't a manager?! By far my worst experience going anywhere EVER. When they are not busy they are at their worst. When they are busy, things have a tendency to be off as well. What can they do? Honestly, you're better off going to Taco Bell. read more
