    Barbacoa tacos with handmade tortillas

This place has HANDMADE TORTILLAS! They are amazing. Try their deliciously tender and juicy barbacoa tacos. They also have grilled chicken that's very juicy and grilled steak and ribs. Try a side of grilled jalapeño or onions to complement your dish. Did I mention they also sell tortillas to go? This will be my go-to place for handmade tortillas!!

Mi Sol Tortilleria & Parrillada (8339 Richmond Highway). Dude is out here at the crack of dawn hurling hardwood into a outdoor barrel smoker and grilling beef, pork, chicken, and sausage. The parking lot aroma will make your mouth water. You can buy grilled meats by the pound, or build a combo with sides. Tacos are $3.50-4 each, but they're stuffed with meat and the tortillas are hand made. I could barely finish the three I ordered; the beef was tender, moist, with a good char and plenty of smokiness from the wood. They also serve soups and you can build a torta from your choice of meat with beans, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeno, and avocado for $12. Plenty of bottled drinks in the cooler, including Mexican Fantas, Jarritos, and glass bottled Cokes made with cane sugar. Interior is clean and bright. They're open 8:30am-8pm every day.

Visited Mi Sol Tortilleria & Parrillada today and was excited to try all the goodies they have to offer. The food was absolutely delicious, and the snacks were just as good! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. I'll definitely be returning soon!

The interior is very spacious and can host both large family/parties and smaller intimate diners. We shared a ceviche for an appetizer and it was fresh and the right amount of spicy. I ended up getting the chicken mole for my main and it was so deeply flavored and delicious. My boyfriend also enjoyed his vegetarian tamale which was served with a spicy roja sauce. Sterling our server was very sweet and attentive. They were so nice and brought out birthday dessert flan for me, candle and all. Would absolutely recommend La Calle in Fells Point to anyone looking for a nice intimate dinner or booking out a big party.

The house margaritas and El Diablo cocktails were fantastic. We split a few dishes: the queso fundido, which was fantastic, and the salmon ceviche was so soft and delicious. For my entree, I absolutely loved the enchiladas verdes, and my husband had the enchiladas rojas and loved them, too! Our friends had the soup and the quesadillas and had nothing but good things to say about them. Can't wait to come back!

Well let's just say, I've been dreaming about their refried beans since I left!!…read more I stopped here for a quick lunch with my mom and sister. It was around 1pm and the place was pretty empty. It was a classic Mexican style restaurant! Our sever, such a sweet lady, was patient as it was our first visit to any Anita's chain. So we ordered our dishes in hopes that it wouldn't be a waste of money! And let me tell you it wasn't! We all ordered different dishes to share in case one didn't like theirs. We allllll loved ours. My favorite was the chimichanga! The refried beans with the chimichanga were magically delicious! The balance of savory was just right! I cannot wait to come back! It was affordable as well! So do yourself a favor and visit this location!

No! This is Anita's, where I question if they've ever actually BEEN to New Mexico? Almost unbelievably, the veggie burrito contained what is without a doubt, frozen vegetables, possibly from from the nearby Lidl's frozen section--where else would they get exactly that combination of small cubed carrots, peas, corn, and lima beans? Yes, reader, you saw that correctly - lima beans in my burrito! At least it was edible, unlike the pictured Chicharron burrito. I took one bite and my blood sodium level rose to cardiologist-shocking levels. Inedible. I tried cutting it with sour cream, but my efforts were wholly thwarted by the insurmountable--I daresay Herculean--quantities of salt in the burrito. Lest you think this reviewer simply has picky taste, I'll point to one incontrovertible fact of the case, that any reader of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would observe: each time after consuming Anita's, my petite wife's neck swells to the size of my not-unmuscled thigh merely from - presumably - the excessive salt ("edema," to borrow the medical term). I implore you...your body implores you...your cardiologist (present or future) implores you...eat at your own risk!
