I've been wanting to stop in and try this spot since the change of ownership. The previous bakery was a family favorite. I'm actually disappointed in the pricing, I paid over $33 for a small amount of bread. When I inquired on the pricing to the cashier told me it's sold by piece but that's to be expected. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT. My family and i love coming here however, i have noticed every time we go and get the same bread the prices vary. Sometimes for our usual order it will be $23 and sometimes it comes out $32. it is absolute nonsense, and they never give you a receipt either. This previous time i visited which will be my last. They ran my card twice and said they didn't run it the first time. Now it's been 3 weeks and i noticed two charges on my card. I can't even dispute because they didn't give me a receipt for either transactions. This place is a scam, don't be a victim like me. This business needs to get investigated. I placed an order for a cake at 11:50 am and returned to the bakery at 1:30 pm to cancel. Not even 2 hrs later, yet they claimed they could not return my deposit without charging me 10% of the total price for the cancellation. Not only was the cake overly priced, but this experience was completely terrible. Also, I placed the order a whole week in advance! This is definitely the last time I place an order here. This is one of the bakeries that we love to stop at. They have fresh bread all the time. Have not received any stale or hard bread so far. They have different kinds of Mexican breads from conchas to empanadas. They even make cakes for special occasions. You can buy coffee if you want to enjoy it with your bread. What we love from there are their bolillos! They are nice and tender! We love them especially when they come out of the oven, soft and warm! I love this place so much! It's been my favorite panaderia since I was a kid. IMO it's the best one in the whole valley. I've been going here for more than 20 years. Their champurrado is unmatched. It reminds me of when I would attend service at my grandpa's church where he would give sermons years ago; they would have pan dulce and champurrado there during the cold weather. Hidden gem in the desert town of Coachella, tucked away in a seemingly ordinary strip mall. I was in town visiting family and wanted to indulge in a treat that's rare in my area of the PNW. The store is somewhat small but organized. The smell of recently baked goods engulf your senses as you walk in. I chose a variety of breads: conchas, the pink cookies, empanadas, the buttery cupcake thing that I've never learned the name of and some other fruit filled pastry. It was close to a dozen. The prices are extremely fair and the pastries were deeeee-licious. The gentlemen that rang up my order was very nice and polite, and understood my very rusty Spanish (very rusty).
