I had a Extended Tummy Tuck with Muscle Repair and Liposuction of the Flanks. My Doctor was Dr. Xiaoti Xu. He did an excellent job on me. I have not one compliant. As far as the staff, my surgical coordinator was very helpful and stayed in touch. I had no trouble ever reaching her. All the staff was pleasant, professional and caring. After surgery they checked up on me and Dr. Xu keeps in touch via email. I would recommend them again and I am going back for more work in 2020. read more

I don't even know where to start. I do have to say that since day one, Paola and Jessica ALWAYS responded promptly and quickly to all my questions before and after taking my money! They were pretty amazing, keep that up. 5 starts for Dr Palladino, amazing surgeon; I cannot understand what he is doing at this clinic honestly. Made me feel very very comfortable, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. Why my 2 stars? This is why: Everything was good until i was in recovery. I woke up in excruciating pain from a major breast lift, open my eyes, no one around to make sure i wasn't dead, looked inside my robe to find my surgical bra wide open. I tried closing it with the little strength I had but was only able to do the bottom. 30 minutes later, some lady named YOLi or Yollanda, something like that, (NOT nurses, they don't believe in nurses there and i am sure nobody is licensed to handle out of surgery patients) comes in, didn't speak English, tried finishing what i had started with my bra WITH SUCH BRUTALITY that i started shaking. She then proceeded to get me out of that bed in such a hurry like i didn't JUST have major reconstructive surgery, HER phones rings, she answers and it was a personal call, she kept talking, one hand on her phone and one hand trying to help me get out of that bed onto the wheelchair alllll the way down to the car (driver helped me to the car because she was still on that personal call. I understand spanish, i know what she was saying, that's how i know it was a personal call). I felt like i was in a slaughter house. The next day i returned to do a massage and OMG, they are heartless, not to mention the fact they need to get you out within 10-15 min, they grab a surgical wooden Q-tip and SHOVE it in and out inside your incisions to open them to drain the fluids. I do recommend the Dr but i DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!! I am not even going into anything else as far as forgetting to update my chart from one procedure to another, adding massages that i never paid for, forgetting to call people to schedule their appointments, forgetting to send confirmation e-mails..the list goes on and on and on. This company is a scam, if they ask you to put a deposit down, DON'T DO IT. They fail to explain their terms, and they will keep your money if you cancel your procedures months in advance. they stole my $723 and won't give it back. They claimed that its a booking fee when their contract does not states 10% deposit is a booking fee. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. I really hope you have a better experience then I did! I was scheduled for surgery in March 2021 and flew in from NY just for this. I was supposed to have a Mommy Makeover procedure. I came in for my Pre Op consultation only to sit in the waiting room for over 3 hours and the staff refused to give me any details of what's going on. This is the day before the surgery just to be clear. After they finally took me in, they took photos, weight and verified all of my doctor clearances. When I asked if the doctor will be here to mark me up and show me what he was going to do to me, they said he will do it right before the surgery and that I had to pay them the full balance first. They make you sign a ton of waivers so if you decide to cancel or if they can't clear you before the surgery, you lose all of your money (non refundable). They also make you sign a waiver that you can't bring them to court for any reason, even death. So they expect you to come in, doctor will draw you up and if you don't like it, too bad you lose your money. If you did not pass the nicotine and pregnancy tests, you lose all your money. Complete horrific experience. I'm going under the knife and I expected more care or at least some human concern. You're just a piece of meat or a money bag for them. Stay away! Giving you guys 1 star is too generous and very misleading for people who are thinking of coming here. The cosmetic procedures that are done here are phenomenal but that can not be all of the experience. Mia does not seem to care about their patients. They treat you like a number. I flew in from a different state to get my surgery done because I was so impressed with the work they do. I was very nervous as it was my first time going through a surgery. The office was loud and the girls there were nice but they played around ALOT which doesn't help your nerves. The anesthesiologist that works with Dr. Fasusi tried convincing me I was a "nervous wreck" and that "surgery is not a big deal I need to get over it" he made me feel small, uncomfortable, and not taken care of. He made me feel like he doesn't care about his patients and that surgery is something he doesn't take seriously... which is a problem considering your job is to put your patients to sleep and keep them stable. On both of my post op days I didn't even get to see the doctor. They have poor scheduling as the doctor is running back and forth between post op and surgery. Makes me wonder how focused you really can be running back forth all day. My surgery was scheduled at 6 am but didn't get my procedure done till about 9am. 3 hours of nerves built up. In the beginning I wasn't able to pee because they make you stop drinking all fluids the night before your surgery so they started an IV. As I was waiting they had me switch rooms (I was in a gown and butt naked underneath as they made me walk through the lobby with all the other girls out there waiting). They were not considerate of my feelings nor did they care to be. The bedside manner at this establishment is atrocious. The doctors and staff should be embarrassed by how they treat their patients but they aren't because they do not see us as their patients but as a number and a time frame. I do not recommend this establishment if you care about being treated appropriately. Overall, it seems I have had a better time with contact upto my surgery date than others, I was always informed promptly. Mehio was a professional doctor and generous, however he did put too much fat towards the top of my butt...causing me to consider a 2nd round with another doctor, but my body is still much better than what I started at so I'm not going to complain about him much. The only things that bothered me about this company is they did not call me before my appointment dates as they said they had, I kept getting emails saying I didn't answer my phone...dude I have been holding it all day WAITING for these calls...don't lie. 2nd is I paid for 2 garmets that were never given to me/needed and have not recieved a refund for them despite numerous attempts which is disappointing to say the lease. This place is very unprofessional!! I was at my consult and over heard the dr telling the patient " oh you have mrsa, you'll be okay" seriously who does that! Never have I heard of someone having so many cases of infections as they do here! Ive seen so many cases of infections from this office due to not having a sterile or, as well as a death from fat embolism as I recently discovered sadly too late! I paid a deposit for surgery just because I was told over the phone I could get a refund if cancelled before 60 days. Which I did! Now I'm told it's not refundable! My surgery was scheduled very last minute. It only gave me 2 weeks to prepare. I did everything timely on my part. I got my labs done ASAP. I never got a confirmation so I didn't want to book my flight yet just in case. I was starting to get anxious because my surgery was only a few days away and I hadn't got any confirmation. My coordinator Stephanie was emailing me answering my questions so I thought I was good to go. So I booked my non refundable flight. I get an email from Stephanie literally the morning of the day I was supposed to be flying out from CA to MIA that they hadn't received my labs and apparently my surgery had been cancelled since last week. They COULD HAVE given me a call and my physician could've simply faxed over my paperwork again. I had to cancel my Airbnb last minute and I didn't even get a full refund for it. I could've avoided the flight expenses if they would've told me on time. They told me to reschedule but I don't think they are worth my time & money anymore. I had lipo surgery on March 4,2021 my doctor was very good (Dr. Bowker) but the post-op was horrible. First of all, Im a RN therefore I expect the same service I give. Before the surgery I never spoke with the doctor. The day of surgery I met with my doctor he went over everything then I was off to the OR. After the surgery I woke up in recovery a few hours later as the nurse was trying to warm me up and I was in very bad pain. After about 15mins they was helping me into a wheelchair without my shoes as I said I needed to use the washroom the nurse helped me urinate as I stood up blood rushed down my legs. She continue to put me in a wheelchair and roll me out to my awaiting car with my friend whom is also a RN. My friend begin to question the appearance I was in and the bloody clothes I was wearing at that point. She also asked where was my shoes. The nurse went back and got a pad and my shoes so I wouldn't get blood all over the car. I was in so much pain but luckily for me my friend started a IV and was able to give me pain meds. we brought with us. No one ever called after to check on me. I did my post op visits and still the 12 pills they gave was all that was given. I flew back home and to this day (2weeks post op) No follow-up call. Lastly, the doctor work was very good, after the surgery you are on your own! So I will not recommend Mia Esthetics in Miami. read more

So I'll just like to say that Dr.Willis did my breast augmentation and I hate it . I thought her being a African American surgeon that I could but my life in her hands but it went the complete opposite. One you don't meet your surgeon until after you pay . Her vibe and energy was way off. She cut me too deep on my right side which caused me to have several complications for months. At my post op appointment she stated "It seems like it's fluid under your right breast" then I guess when she realizEd she fucked up she was like oh nvm it's not fluid. I've experience thus far the worst experience since I've booked in May . I really feel like my business doesn't matter with this company from the very nonchalant behavior I've received from my patient coordinator Gena to Stephanie and receiving absolutely no response from amber in the recovery department . When I booked back in May , I paid for Dr Alvarez to get a bbl done in Miami . After booking , I was told that I can no longer get my surgery done in Miami because dr Alvarez has transferred to the Texas location . Then after my location was changed my contract was never updated and I was still getting sent recovery houses for Miami instead of Texas which I reached out back in July and no one responded . So from right there my contract was changed once . Then yesterday , I emailed Stephanie stating that I would like to set my surgery date in March of 2021 and she replies and says that dr Alvarez is completely booked and closed and won't be doing any surgeries after March 2021 . After reading that , I felt completely led astray because I've been planning this for 2 years and I finally gotten the chance to book the doctor I wanted and I'm told I'm not able to do so even though it states in the contract that I paid for him , not anyone else . Nowhere in the contract says that it's not a guarantee that I can't get my doctor and also in the contract it states that I have within a year to set my appt date . So first my location was changed and then I'm told I can't use my doctor and that I have to pick the two other doctors which I know absolutely NOTHING about and just to go about my day with absolutely no empathy or care for the couple of thousands I already spent for this one particular surgeon. It ALSO states in my contract that if I WILLINGLY want to change surgeons that it's an $1000 fee but why is it okay for you guys to change my surgeon without any heads up . I didn't even get a call beforehand to let me know that dr Alvarez book is close to becoming booked and closed and to schedule an appt ASAP . That's just common sense customer service , to notify his potential clients that they should book at least give me the OPTION to change . I just feel that was sooo unprofessional and unfair on their end that I felt taken advantage of . This is by far the worst customer experience ever and I'm from out of state . And now that I've done more research on the other two doctors just today , I would like to go to dr charepoo but why am I paying the price of dr Alvarez if I'm not being serviced by him . I paid on my surgery in june of 2020.the sum of $4457.50 with a small balance remaining.I never got a surgery date schedule, because each time I called my coordinator, was either busy or never called back,now I'm a grown woman with a busy life,each time I call,they would put me on hold or promise to call back which they never did.Finally in January of 2021 I got a hold of one of the customer service reps.I told her if i dont get an answer I would call my lawyer,she screamed at me and told me she would not give me a refund or speak anymore to me.In short I had to hire a lawyer to get my refund.I am not here to malign or bad mouth anyone,I heard about good surgery results as well as bad ones,.Please BE WARNED DONT PAY THEM YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU DO IT THROUGH AN ATTORNEY. I was referred here by a friend but, based on my experience, need to say I would not recommend Mia Aesthetics to anyone. I found the front end staff to be extremely rude and not coordinated with one another. Then upon arriving I felt like I was on an assembly line with little done to walk me through the surgery or level-set expectations. The person on the finance team seemed more concerned about complaining that their holiday pool was unfair than making me feel welcome. The post-op protocols have been challenging - they try to be setup as a destination center to accommodate out of state patients however the coordination for post surgical care has been difficult. For instance I was told to go to any Urgent Care Center to have my drains removed - after visiting three and being refused (because they felt it was not appropriate care protocol) I called Mia where the post op team let me know "yeah, it's hit or miss with urgent care centers". And after another post op complication I called the "emergency post-op" number only to wait over eight hours for a call back. There are only two positive things I can share about my experience at Mia Aesthetics - their anesthesiology team is top notch as are their post-op massage therapists. read more

September 17, 2018 I got a BBL by Dr. Alvarez at Mia Aesthetics. After surgery in recovery as opened my eyes for the first time I noticed the nurse opening her lunch bag. She took out a yogurt. I went back to sleep, shorty after she woke me up to get me up. She never once offered me nothing to eat or drink, but she made sure she had her lunch. FYI I haven't had anything to eat or drink for 10 hours. My best friend said that they let me go too fast. They rush you out and on to the next. Be mindful about law Florida that if something happened to you, you or your family can't sue. Anyway, After I left the office, I felt sick like I was gonna pass out. After getting to the door to my air bnb, I fell off of the top step passed out. My best friend was running to catch me, but it was too late. My head had a hole in it from falling. I received 5 staples in my head. Thank god I was ok. But I was so sore from falling and remember I just had surgery. After we got to the ER my best friend called Mia and it wasn't pleasant. The next day I went to see the doctor and he said that the nurse had been fired. 3 months later I sent in pictures of my body, because I wasn't satisfied about my results. It took the revision team over 2 weeks to respond only to tell me that it's nothing they can do. I need a round 2 BBL. I will never go there or recommend anyone to do business there. Worst experience. This isn't my first go around with surgery so I kind of knew what to expect. I have a mommy make over before and this time I had a bbl lipo 360 lipo chin lipo thighs. I understand that a mommy makeover is a lot more complicated and more painful than what I just got but I went to a different surgeon before and they gave me four different pain medication prescriptions not all at one time but during each appointment to manage my pain. This place however will only give me 12 Percocets 325-5 which is pretty strong for me I'm not someone that only takes pain pills but I'm still in a lot of pain it is only my third day and I have three pills left I asked if I can get another refill when I come in on Saturday for my massage and they told me that they don't give refills. I asked Lady OK well what can I do and she said well you can go to another doctor and I said I'm not from Florida I can't just go to any doctor she said well then you're gonna have to go to your primary care doctor and I said well I don't go home until next week because you guys have a mandatory I have to be in Miami for at least 7 to 8 days. She said well you can go to any pharmacy and get Tylenol. I'd like to have a dozen compared to the pain medication you guys have prescribed me so you can give me at least like three or four more pills just to last the rest of the week and she said no we don't give refills. This is so unprofessional if your patience and pain you're supposed to give them something to control the pain. I didn't have a broken arm or a finger cut to take some Tylenol I didn't have a headache I had my whole butt thighs chin stomach hips and back done. I need something more than just Tylenol. But of course they don't care. The first I get there for my preop I waited over two hours to be seen. The day of my surgery I waited over an hour to be seen. The day after my surgery I came for a massage and I waited over an hour and a half to be seen. They don't give you an appointment time they just tell you to come in at a certain time which they do with everybody so there's probably 10 people getting the same surgery within the same day and they tell everybody to come at 7 AM. So you're just sitting there waiting until they are ready. It's very unorganized and very unprofessional. Only person that had ever calmed my nerves down or that help me whatsoever it was the anesthesiologist I don't remember his name but he was a gay man who was amazing I really did like him( not against gay people whatsoever I just don't want it to be confused if there's another male anesthesiologist) I'm met the doctor one time for about five or six minutes right before surgery and then the second time for about two minutes and that was during my massage. I was also lost at one point trying to find the place and their phones don't work before 9am. They tell you to be there 6/7/8 am but never give you an address just assume and you can't call anybody for help it goes only to voicemail. So that was horrible communication. The coordinator NEVER RESPONDS in a timely manner. Or anyone that emails you is crazy it will take days for you to get a response. The one that did help was Yolanda who gave me her personal number which without her idk what I would have done she made sure all of my documentations and times were all ready not the lady I was assigned to (yessina) . Just honesty I would never come back to this place. I know it's cheaper but it's not worth it I'd rather pay more and be well taken care of than just thrown around like nothing. I bought this CBD gummy's and the CBD oil and it's bullshit do not buy it it's such a waste of money it doesn't do shit to me like I'm a weed smoker but I didn't smoke weed for two months prior to my surgery so whatever I would take would impact me. I contacted Mia as soon as I found out so we could discuss options since surgery was weeks away . My coordinator said she would contact finance and scheduling .She was nice and helpful congratulated me said she understood I would need a refund due to being pregnant and I understood they would keep my deposit. scheduling called and said they would send over info for refund options. Next day finance department emailed me..what can they do for me? I'm confused .
