My experience with this doctor started with continuous correspondence. As soon as I asked a question it was immediately answered via the portal. Ok I was liking the prompt responses. I locked in my surgery. Yes everything was going good. Surgery went well. Or so I thought. The madness started soon after. To put in simple terms. I had an arm lift, an upper back lift and a crescent thigh lift. This crescent thigh lift is where the incision is in the groin and not down the leg. I went back for 2 postop . Still so sore and swollen. I flew home the day of 2nd postop. That day I gave the staff a form from my job for the doctor to sign. FMLA do not cover that type of surgery. I guess only if it was extreme weight loss. They gave me a letter stating they don't outside forms. They said give it to my employer and if they have questions to call them. News flash. It was not accepted by my employer. I work with the state. They refused to let me back on schedule with the letter. I called and begged the doctor's staff to sign the form with no luck. The staff told me they won't be able to respond to me till Monday. This was on a Friday. Now mind you. Before I paid for the surgery. They would email me even on a Saturday. Anyways I got my own doctor to get me back to work. I had a 3rd virtual post op when I came home. Now the swelling was down . I pointed that out to Dr Ziyad . He mentioned we will eventually talk about a revision for my thighs. I was told to send my 1 month updated photos. The incisions on my thighs are so uneven. You can clearly see it over my panty line. The incision my arm is also uneven. I am so upset and frustrated. After being $surgery + airfare + recovery home in a minus. I've sent the photos since last week. Sent another email on Monday. Asking them how would we proceed to have a revision, I have been calling. No response either way. I am so disappointed in Dr Ziyad and Sunset plastic surgery. This was the worst decision I've made and the worst experience I've had after surgery. I'm simply sharing my horror story with this doc and his staff. My experience with Dr Z was great at first. I was happy with the results. Fast forward several years, I started developing repeated abscesses on my breast during what was supposed to be the best year of my life- getting married, starting a new job, etc. When I say abscesses, I mean the most excruciating pain I've ever felt, followed by a huge swelling of fluid, and needed to get repeated surgery to drain it. No doctors could figure out what was wrong with me. Finally I found a new amazing plastic surgeon who realized that Dr Z's 'dissolvable' stitches could still be left in me 7 years later. She completed a much more invasive surgery than the original to go correct the problem and dug out many remnants of stitches on both my breasts that had been causing me repeated issues, and quite frankly took over my life for 1.5 years. It was filled with immense pain, confusion, frustration, and so many doctors and medical bills. She told me the specific suture technique that was done caused my body to reject and not breakdown the sutures, and therefore I fought a local infection in my breasts for years unknowingly. I really wish I could get the past 18 months of my life back. I hope he has more experience now than he did then, and I'm sure he does, but I'm posting this because I just hope no one else ever has to suffer for as long as I did for side effects from ages old surgery. I am not sure if words are enough to describe how amazing Dr. Ziyad Hammoudeh really is. I just recently had a septoplasty and rhinoplasty done by Dr. Ziyad--and it has turned out amazing. I was struggling a long time with a nasal fracture, severe deviated septum, and my overall all nasal appearance was deformed. All this was due to a trauma injury to my nose years earlier. My nose made me extremely self conscious because my nose was terribly damaged. I could feel my bone on the left side of nose, my nasal passageway was blocked which made it extremely hard to breath, constantly dealing with headaches, and it even got worse at night when I found myself gasping for air if I turned and accidently slept on my stomach. This is when I told myself that I couldn't take this anymore. It wasn't getting any better from sprays or over the counter drugs. I ended up calling Dr. Ziyad's office and they were able to schedule me in for a consultation. I sat with Dr. Ziyad, and I explained everything to that I was going through (both physically and emotionally). He was very easy to talk to, and very understanding. He understood my situation and knew what had to be done. What separates Dr. Ziyad from any doctor that I have ever had, is that he really cares about the patient. He truly stands for what it means to be a Doctor and Humanitarian. You don't find many with these characteristics. After my surgery, (which turned out to be amazing), my nose is no longer crooked, all my nasal function have been fixed, and after a long intense surgery I can hold my head-up high confidently with a beautiful natural new nose. Where to start... I went to Ziyad originally based on his overwhelming reviews. His work seems to be impeccable. "Magic hands". I also read several reviews that the facility he was working with was unorganized at best. Knowing this and how much I loved his work, I decided to overlook the facilities lacking qualities. Hey he's going to give me the body of my dreams! Once the surgery was complete with in 24 hours an issue arose with my belly button. I immediately noticed blisters farming into and around my belly button. I was told that it's just a fluid collection and it will go away on its own. Please understand I am now 11 weeks post op and my belly button oozes and I have permanent scarring around my belly button. Next came an issue with my right breast. I had a deep hole with in my breast. When i repeatedly asked for assistance I was scolded for being insistant on care. O wound up going to a wound care clinic for treatment. 11/2 year update** After several months of recovery. My body has finally healed. I have a permanent indent where the hole was under my breast. My belly button is very deep and botched. My right hip had a large padding of fat. As if he forgot to finish the liposuction. I am now having to spend a-lot of money to have my procedures corrected. If I could leave 0 stars for the way I was treated today I would. I was scheduled for a 5:30 PM breast implant removal. It is 9PM, I haven't eaten or drank water in almost 12 hours and they still hadn't taken me in. I'm furious, but too exhausted to even cry. There's a patient scheduled at 4:30 still waiting before me. Anesthesiologist jokingly comes out saying we'd have to wait 3-5 hours. I've never been treated this poorly. Instead of calling to reschedule because they were "behind" they had me there suffering. It's inhumane. I'm not sure what happened but my experience was not what I expected. I had a tummy tuck and lift with implants. I had my surgery done in November and my date was changed 3 times, which wouldn't have been an issue except that I was coming from CA and had my travel plans arrangements according to the first date my " coordinator" gave me. My 2 stars are actually for the awful service I received from the staff. Dr. was a typical arrogant surgeon, but the staff....I mean everyone I came in contact with was seriously lacking professional customer service skills. My "coordinator" Norma only spoke to me when it was time to collect my money. That's a cashier where I come from. The manager came in during my preop and accused me of being too "unhealthy" for drs in Ca to do my ELECTIVE surgery. And my surgery "nurse" was not reachable after my procedure to explain the 9 prescribed meds I was given. When my husband went to the pharmacy to pick up my meds the pharmacist told him to tell "that staff to stop sending patients here!" I started having issues with my breast implants and so I texted the "nurse" and she told me she'd get back to me. When she did it was a text telling me "yeah your breast is encapsulated and you will need revision surgery" a TEXT!?! Not even the decency to call me on the phone? Needless to say I'm glad I need revision because I didn't ask for what he gave me. In fact I got the exact opposite. I will stay in Ca for this one. Like I told the girl posing as a nurse. Surgeons are a dime a dozen and I'm positive I'll have a better experience at home. There were 2 other ladies there waiting while I was both from other states. I was treated by Dr Hammoudeh using a Halo laser. I originally had co2 laser by another facility which was not ideal for my skin type which is on the very oily side. Which includes very large pores. The Halo by Sciton work very well with my skin (tan and oily), and I had to get my skin prepped by their cream in their office, which was a peel and bleach cream. It is a bit pricier on their laser side per one treatment, but for the time being, it is worth it! I find it will work well with a combo of prescribed products and more services from their med spa. read more
