Some of the best food I had during my stay in Tulum. Our waiter was extremely kind and he got double points for telling me I was beautiful lol. This restaurant gives full access to the beautiful beach, with cabanas available with a spend of $250 I believe. In regards to my food, the prawns were large and juicy, with a mouthwatering grilled flavor, and the rice was light and fluffy. The meal was topped with a zesty au jus, making for a deliciously moist dish. My friends got pastor and shrimp tacos, which they also enjoyed very much. 10/10 read more

We came here because our hotel offered a free shuttle to this spot. I was wanting to try out at least one of the beach clubs while here because I had heard so much about them, and they take up most of the beach anyway. Mia was just okay. We were thankful that we didn't need a reservation to get a day bed immediately, but if you are coming after noon I would highly advise it, because it got busy quick here. You must spend $60 minimum per person for the day beds. I didn't mind the cost, but it was nearly impossible to get our waiter's attention for anything. After about 4-5 hours I just paid the rest of our tab without getting anything else because I was so over trying to order anything. The food was good, the drinks were not. Our food also took over an hour to come out, while the beds near us who ordered after us received theirs. The beds were very nice and comfortable, and the location itself was perfect; near the water and shaded by coconut trees. The only other negative were all of the people selling stuff who would constantly come up to us while we were relaxing. Unfortunately, this just seemed to be the norm for any part of the beach in Tulum, but I wish they were not allowed into the club area. They would literally come up right next to us while we were laying on the day bed. Overall, the beach club is really pretty and is in a great spot, but the service is just not good. If you are looking for a low-key spot hang out on Tulum beach, Mia definitely hit the spot for our group. We ended up staying here for nearly 9 hours, so it's safe to say we had a good time! Their beach area had plenty of daybeds with trees for shade, and when we went, it wasn't busy at all, so we basically had the place to ourselves. Something to keep in mind is that there's a $50 minimum spend per person, but honestly after a few drinks and a bunch of bites, we exceeded that easily. Most places in Tulum will have a similar charge like this, so keep that in mind when you are picking your spot to hang out. The food here was pretty good. The duck tacos were my favorite, and the tuna tartare with a jicama tortilla was something I hadn't had before. The ox-tail tacos were a hit with my group. I also ordered a burger, and that was pretty average, and I don't think I'd order it again. To have such fancy food on the beach, plus a beer in my hand, it screamed vacation to me. Once the sun went down, they have a DJ to keep the party going at Selina, which is adjacent to Mia. Same menu, and fun place to dance if you are into deep house music. It was low season when we went, so we had the dance floor to ourselves for most of the night. Our server Cris was amazing and attentive all the way through. He made sure our glasses were always full and did so with speed and a smile. He was quick to offer suggestions and wasn't pushy. 10/10 on the customer service scale! read more

For Zona Hotelera, this place is not bad. In theory the food is a bit above average, for Selina guests, 20% off. If you're staying at Selina you get a good value. They have some alright parties, but the vibe is quite trashy. If you like spring break vibes and drug dealers up in your face every five minutes, this is the place for you. I was at Mia Beach Club on a Sunday (4/28) and had a great time. After a couple days of lots of drinking and dancing, my friends and I were looking for a chill spot with good music and this was it. We got a bed right on the beach and had a blast. The drinks were delicious, the food was on point and the hookah was great. Our server, Adelie, was super sweet and attentive! There is a $60 (USD) minimum to use the day beds on the beach or sit by the pool but it's easily reached with the food and drinks if you spend all day here. I could've not been more happier with Mia Beach Club. I was in a group with 3 couples total, so it was 6 of us. We were originally going to go to Taboo since we've heard so much about it, and kept seeing it all over TikTok and Instagram. But then one of our friends had recently gone to Mia and had mentioned how it was a much better experience. We had been doing the whole club/partying thing the days before, so we wanted a more relaxed but still fun experience...Mia was exactly that. Our tickets included unlimited tacos/pizza/drinks for a few hours. We had a few chairs on the beach, I think we had about 4-5 for the 6 of us? It was perfect though, because we were on the beach most of the time anyways!!! We had two servers/waiters that took the best care of us. One of them was Miguel and I can't remember the other lady's name. I clearly remember asking for Miguel for 6 tequila shots every 20-30 minutes, and he would be there with limes and salt ready to give them to us. We tipped both servers separately, because we wanted to make sure they got the tips and didn't have to share them. They were excellent. The only thing I do have to say that isn't all positive, is be wary of the all the people that will try to sell you stuff while being at Mia. They aren't dangerous, but they can be quite bothersome. We did buy a few things from the children that were selling. Things like bracelets and anklets. If you don't want anything, just tell them and they will leave you alone. The vibe is 10/10. It's very Tulum meets Day Club, but without all the people and stress and overpriced drinks. Overall though, I highly recommend Mia. As I am typing this, I see a lot of negative reviews on the right-hand side, but I experienced none of that at all. It was nothing but good vibes the entire time we were there. read more

On a recent gals trip to Tulum, our Airbnb recommended Mia and it was just what we wanted ! We ended up spending 2 days at their beach club plus a short visit to the restaurant. Location: All the beach clubs seem to be located in the same area, so it's pretty easy to get to. There's just 1 road to follow and there's only 1 lane each way. So you won't get lost but I imagine it can get quite congested depending on the time you drive there. Parking: They had their own parking lot with the hotel they are a part of which was perfect ! We rented a car so really appreciated the easy parking. Design: I have to say something about the interior and patio designs! They flow great with the natural tulum vibe, using a lot of wood and natural elements to create an environment that flows with the beach. Pool: The pool was great for a dip - especially since there was a ton of seaweed in the ocean when we went. There's plenty of seating around the pool and showers to rinse off. Also part of the pool has shade which was super exciting because in my experience that's often missing ! The beach/beach club: There's tons of beach beds and some cushioned seating on the beach. You get the choice of more or less shade (depending on availability). We opted for a mostly shady spot which allowed us to enjoy the beach without getting sunburnt at all (yay!). Unfortunately there was quite a bit of seaweed during our visit. The beach was getting cleaned while we were there though and towards the afternoon we could take a quick dip. There was also some upbeat but chill music playing the entire time so that was a bonus! The food/drinks: We got the margaritas (mango and strawberry). They were very fruity and refreshing ! Though I definitely had to request extra tequila to be added to mine to offset some of the sweetness from the fruit. We also tried the pepperoni and veggie pizzas. After a day on the beach drinking margs, they were absolutely perfect ! Honestly they were probably the best option (and they come with the day pass anyway). We did try some other menu items and they didn't really wow us. Staff: The staff was honestly the best! Everyone was amazing! They communicated great, were always very nice, and clearly fun group of people! One of the main reasons we kept returning was the staff. Price: Though this was the only beach club we visited, we felt the day pass prices were fair. It included about 4 hours of time, a spot with beach beds, towels, 4 margaritas, an entree, and a pizza. Some extra things to note: - there's a super awesome cat that lives there ! - our first day, the credit card machine went down when we were leaving. Since we had 2 people and were there all day, we didn't have the appropriate amount in cash to pay. PURE VIBES! Stumbled on this place by accident but it was a very pleasant surprise. The ambience was beautiful. The food was probably one of the top meals I've had in my life! We had the catch of the day with mashed potatoes and the chicken ____(can't remember the name). Both were delicious! We walked on the beach while waiting on our food which added to the vibes. One of the more "upscale" beach clubs in Tulum. Like almost everything else on this beach strip, overpriced and not worth the money spent. Service was attentive and friendly for the most part but the food was terrible compared to Ziggys/Zebra (which I 100% recommend). They are trying too hard to cater to American palates. The Tuna Ceviche was drenched in sugar and was quite literally the worst I've ever had. Something I would expect coming from TGI Fridays back in America... For 380 MXN this was such a waste of money. The drinks also have 5% alcohol in them (probably on purpose). Prepare to receive "cocktails" that are mostly juice with a tiny splash of alcohol. read more

Beach club is amazing! Food was great. We ordered quesadillas, ceviche, guac, tuna tartar tacos and calamari!! All were great. Calamari was amazing!! Ceviche was so fresh. Tuna tacos was in jicama instead of corn tortillas. Felt fresh. The manager Jaime made us feel so welcome and was sure to check on us. He even brought extra seating. Do yourself a favor and don't even step foot in this place. This is absolutely the worst place I've ever been and I never give 1 star to restaurants unless they really deserve it. We walked in and we're seated immediately but waited 10 minutes just for our waiter to come to our table. The waiter seemed liked management was holding a gun to head and was super awkward. We didn't mind at first and we were nice to him. We ordered the "sashimi tacos". First of all it wasn't "sashimi", it was ground fish that looked like a grinded up human testicle. Second, I ordered the quesadilla. 3 measly pathetic tiny tacos that they claim has onion and portobello mushroom but was really 1 slice of mushroom and 1 sliver of onion. The worst part was that when I tried to return it, the waiter literally froze with fear and was at a loss for words as if the manager was going to rip his balls off. After pushing to return the "dish" he finally said "I'll try", about to start bawling. He ended up bringing the plate back and said his boss said no. All in all I left very upset and disgusted. We spent a large portion of our day at the beach club on a bed and overall it was pretty disappointing. Food: Average overall. It's a beach club so I'm not really expecting amazing food, but it seemed a little pricier compared to other beach clubs we visited yet not any better quality. Drinks: Not great. Glass size seemed small compared to other beach clubs we tried, and I'm not even sure if they had alcohol in them. It was so bad that we switched to light beer so we could guarantee alcohol content. I was hoping to leave this place at least mildly buzzed, but that seemed impossible. Service: Was acceptable until we were no longer the only customers on the beach, and then it became nonexistent. It seemed like there was one server for the whole beach. Maybe it's because we weren't buying full bottles of Don Julio like some others around us, and therefore were less important to our server compared to other customers, but it got to the point where our server acknowledged us only once or twice an hour. This paired with the watered down drinks became a real issue. Ambience: There is no music, which some folks may like, but it actually felt awkwardly quiet for my partner and I. The real annoyance was the clientele. It felt like college spring break for the overprivileged; everyone had a drone that was buzzing around above us, and portable speakers were directly behind us playing trash music that was not enjoyable. Other: We were offered beach towels, but not told there would be a charge. It was nominal overall, but it would have been nice if they had been more transparent about it. When we finally closed out our tab, our server mentioned there was an error and he needed to add in two more drinks. The final bill didn't sum up to the changes he mentioned, but by this point, we just wanted to leave so we didn't contest it. We were having a good time until this happened.... My wife and I had just finished with the beach club, food and drinks from Mia restaurant. On our way out I was taking a picture of the beach area and the eating area from the outside patio of the restaurant. A drunk man with a beaten up shirt and shorts comes up to me and in a very asshole type of way says 'why are you taking pictures?' And 'is it for you'? I said yes and asked who are you and why do you care? He said he was the owner (I thought he was a drunk tourist). I said is there an issue? 'Yes this is my restaurant and you are taking pictures'. I responded and said what did it matter since I just paid to eat and drink there His response 'but it's my restaurant'. Long story short. While we had a good time this guy is a pure jerk. You would think a restaurant and hotel that caters to a beach club, has places clearly setup for IG, and is not bust because of Covid 19 would be totally welcoming. This guys apparently doesn't realize that people taking pictures and posting them advertises his restaurant. There are lots of other places to spend the money and Mia will not be one of them. Hopefully he treats his workers better than the guests. The staff is great but if you come just look out if you have a camera lol. read more

Amazing place when on vacation - treat yourself. Receptionist is very nice. There is a drink called stativa that is the best cocktail I've had on my trip hands down. Went to MIA Tulum with my friends for Christmas dinner on our last night. The whole experience was terrible, half the food was missing from the menu, watered down drinks, mediocre food. AND was overcharged for dinner by almost 50$. Worst experience in Tulum ever. In Tulum, there are many great food options, and this is one of the best! This is a gourmet restaurant, and they serve numerous varieties of food, so of course, it appeals to me. I arrived with my party around 8:00 PM, and we were seated immediately. There were three people waiting on us, and it made the experience delightful and the service quick and efficient. For appetizers, we ordered tomato salad with cheese, tomatoes, vinegar, and pesto, and we ordered the tuna slices, containing vegetables and spices. These did not take a very long time to arrive, and almost as soon as we were finished, we received our entrees. I ordered back ribs, and there was so much food! They were also very tasty, as the spices were perfectly blended in. Lastly, we ordered a Catalan cream for dessert, which was delicious, and some cappuccinos, which were also very good. In addition, Mia has a very nice location on the beach, and I walked out on the beach to meet a very beautiful view. All in all, this is a delightful restaurant with good food, a great location, and outstanding service. I will definitely return.
