I had a bedroom tiled by Miami Carpet & Tile. The sales person in charge was the epitome of what might consider as being polite, competent, nice and friendly. As I have a lot of difficulty with colors, he kindly came to my home and assisted me in my selection. Then, contracted with independent installers who completed the job in a professional workmen like manner which was later inspected by one of the installers supervisors and then again by the representative of Miami Carpet and Tile who had sold me the tile. In all, I was very pleased with my purchase, the assistance that they gave to me and with their overall performance. In later discussing my completed project and in reviewing the work others had had performed by other tile providers, it became evident to me that I was lucky I had had done business with Miami Carpet & Tile rather than those other sources. read more

They started out great, came in measured for tiles. The price was a bit high but I ordered it because they were a reputable company (so I thought) they ripped out the existing tile and carpet. Nobody ever came to supervise and by the time they were done, a friend came by to install new baseboards and told me that almost all of the tiles were hollow, Frances the owner came in and offered me two free rooms of carpet and they would fix the high traffic area. I didn't want them to come back and it was right before Christmas. We had a lot of work to do. They didn't even finish the doorways and now a year later the grout is also coming up. I got quotes from a couple of other carpet and tile retailers, but settled on Miami Carpet and Tile. William came over to my condo, measured it out and recommended the best option for me. I was looking for the lowest emissions carpet and padding, and it's gorgeous! Their installers are quick and helpful. I have a 1 inch drop from my tile to the cement floor in my condo, and they added shims so that they are level. Everyone that I talked with was extremely helpful. Just had my three bedrooms re-carpeted before my family comes for Christmas.  After shopping a number of places, for the fairest price, I finally settled on these guys.  It turned out to be a good choice.  I went in to their store on North Federal and chose the carpet and color that I had decided on.  Everyone was so accommodating and helpful.  The next day they had someone out to measure the rooms and schedule my job.  The installers were out on the day and time that I was promised (it is so aggravating when service people don't keep appointments or show up late) and did a very professional job. Marine Carpet buyer beware. The site boasts expert yacht installation. We visited the Pompano Beach store and spoke to Rhoda, a sales representative with 22 years of experience with the company. We were impressed with the selection and assured by Rhoda that they had a full service marine measurement and installation crew that were experts in the process. We were told we simply needed to select a carpet style and schedule the measurement. They would visit the vessel after we paid a $500 deposit which we did. The measurement expert (Rick) went to the marina where the boat was laid up for service and repairs to measure. Several days later my wife went to the store and was told that we needed to hire someone to pull up the old carpet and that they didn't perform this requirement because they didn't want to harm our boat. Today I visited the store to get a refund. Rhoda first told me I needed to wait until Monday to get the refund processed which she quickly reversed herself on when she saw my look of disbelief. She said several times that she wasn't responsible and that it was the "companies" fault. I hate people that are part of the "company" and then they blame their incompetence on a lifeless entity as though the building or carpet samples should have known what they were capable of and not Rhoda. The result is a lot of wasted time and a new search for a company that actually can deliver what they advertise. I'd avoid Miami Carpet and Tile as they are disingenuous and less than adequate for marine installation. Beware Rhoda. Clearly a commission employee that will take credit for nothing but the commission when things actually go right. read more

Glue from underneath rug started to show up on rug in the corners after installation. We never bothered calling back because our furniture was moved in and settled. It just was not a good installation. We've used them in the past with no issues but this last time that occured several years ago was not good. So they are not my last choice nor my first choice. They are among a list of choices and that's it. read more

I was in the market for new carpet and I posted a note on facebook looking for recommendations. A former tenant of my previous employer saw my post and suggested I contact him. He has since sold his business but still works closely with the current owner, Frances. I went to the store down in Ft. Lauderdale (Federal Highway, just south of Oakland Park Blvd) to look and discuss my options. I was on a tight budget and despite that, I felt like I was treated the same as if I was in there to pick out top of the line product. Nice. We discussed my concerns about having two dogs and the need to having something durable yet still nice and comfy on the feet. We were able to find something that met both criteria and I took home several samples to determine the color and pattern. Once we selected the one we wanted, I came back signed the contract and gave a deposit and was called shortly after to schedule the date for my installation. I was also in a bit of a time crunch to get the work done before the in-laws were due to arrive. Frances was very accommodating and said that would not be a problem at all. Two installers were able to move my very heavy bedroom furniture without a hitch, and got the carpet completely installed in approximately 5 hours. I am completely satisfied with the quality, service and pricing I received from Miami Carpet & Tile and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for carpet or tile. P.S. I did shop around prior to going with these guys and they came in at about half the price that I was quoted from another reputable carpet retailer. read more

These people are the worst I have ever come into contact with. I once had a guy from Floor Fashions in Boca sell me a carpet that was so bad that it came apart when it was being installed. The installer stopped and 4 weeks later I got a decent carpet from them. They were clearly crooks. These people from MCT make Floor Fashions look like Boy Scouts. First, I bought 9000.00 of carpet for my home and supposedly the company (Karastan, the WORST) "refused to make it." Why have the sample if you aren't going to make it? Jeff Lorberbaum, chairman and CEO of Karastan, must be a real smart guy. Put out samples and refuse to make them. Great business plan, and his bonus is probably in the billions for such leadership. So, I settled for a lower quality--still around 6500.00. The installers were the nastiest people I have ever seen. The huge African-American crew leader behaved like a professional criminal the entire time he was at my house. What a jerk he was. The carpet was defective, and both he and the owner knew this and they installed it anyway, thinking that this sucker would never notice. That should tell you all you need to know about MCT. After I complained about the defective carpet, they took a year to get it replaced. They replaced it with a much lower grade carpet. The Karastan "LAB" took 5 months to "examine" it and concluded that it was, indeed, not what they sold me and told me to go fish. It took me 3 seconds to figure this out. Must be crack lab people in their lab, huh? The same jerk installer arrived even after I TOLD MCT not to send him again. He chose to cut and install the carpet the way HE wanted to, not the way I ordered. Once again, the customer is crap as long as we have their money. I have personally talked people out of doing business with MCT for several years now. Since I deal with multi-million dollar homes, I have personally cost them over 100,000 sq yds. of sales and hope to use this review to finally flush this crooked bunch of idiots. Karastan/Mohawk is as much to blame as their crooked dealers like MCT. They make crap carpet, use lousy glue and backing, and probably have fired all the experienced people at the plant who actually know how to manufacture carpet to save money. DO NOT deal with MCT. DO NOT buy Karastan carpet regardless of its older reputation. Since the buyout, it is crap, and this dealer is a big time crook. read more

Well they had some other company install the carpet I purchased from them..No idea if the carpet supplied was the carpet I selected at the store..the two gentleman who installed the carpet were nice enough but the job one of the two did was not equal to his partner's work ... So I had to glue down some carpet by my bathroom that had come up right after they left...No follow up phone call from the store to see how the install went..it seems like they take your money and then don't care about anything afterwards...which is surprising because the sales people seemed nice and seemed to care. AMAZING VALUE! I had two bedrooms carpeted and the whole process was so fast and about half of the price of what I was quoted at Home Depot. Francis was really helpful and came out to measure the same day and sent his installation crew two days later. The guys were extremely polite and professional and completed the job quickly. The sales and installation departments don't talk to each other. Salesmen wash their hands of customers as soon as the order is written, and the customer must then deal with the unreliable installers who are over-scheduled and untrained in customer relations. Might as well just go to Home Depot where the prices are better and there is no pretense about good service. read more

Repaired carpet but ruined tile and refused to repair it. We are right back where we started. I will never use them again! They also became very unprofessional and denied that they were at fault but we have pictures of the before and after job. The General Manager denied that they were at fault, refused to view the pictures and he has never been in the Unit. read more

I ordered two custom carpets to be surged on the edges. I got a call a couple days after the order to say they charged me the wrong amount. It felt like a good cop bad cop thing. I never got the full story about what really happened. They asked things like did I order one carpet or two. They totally did not remember or record my order properly. Anyway, the two carpets arrived about 10 days later. Great. Except they were both the wrong size. They thought one might be correct, so they brought that over. We rolled it out and it was 12" off in one direction and about 2" the other. They had to send both back. I repeatedly had to call in to get a status. I showed up in the showroom to ask where they were. 6 weeks after ordering and calling every week, they finally arrived. One came in stained on the side. What upset me the most is the lack of customer service and response from the sales team. No call backs. Thank goodness for Barbra, she finally gave me updates. The rest of the sales staff is a joke. No apologies or anything for their mixup, the lack of response, and the inability to give me any ETA. You would think that with the mix up, they would have put priority on the carpets. NO. I waited weeks and weeks to get them. Such an awful experience, Sadly for them, I am an interior designer and they have lost all my future business. Many other carpet places around. Go elsewhere. read more

These people are the worst. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. We ordered capret for our Master Bedroom. It was not cheap - $3000 for one room and closet. It was installed incorrectly and the mill sent the wrong shade of carpet which was not known until after it was installed. This particular capret was offered in 15 various shades and the Mill was unable to get the color correct. So after months of trying to get the correct one - we had to settle for a version of the carpet. The old was removed and the new installed. Never was anything offered and there was a refusal from management to offer any discount or credit for furture use. No way to treat a customer that had to spend an extra day off from work to get new carpet. What an unprofessional Company. read more
