The Italiana and Bresaola were tasty but the Spaniard was terrible. While the first two tasted fine, they didn't seem fresh and for sure not worth the price. The Spaniard was much smaller than the others and seemed like it was put in a panini press as it was so flat and hard. Looked nothing like the pictures online. The marmalade jam was so sweet and the quality of the chorizo and prosciutto were lacking. Hard and chewy. I was so disappointed. I recommend getting your sandwiches somewhere else.

I had a delicious sandwich called the Frenchman. It is on French bread, ham cheese, and a really delicious Dijon mustard. I made it a combo and had some olive oil chips and a Pellegrino sparkling drink. I grabbed a gin and tonic from the bar too. For dessert a very impressive basket cheesecake. Give them a try it's delicious highly recommend it. If you like truffle, get the truffle chips they are delicious as well. The ladies were so nice. They even held the cheesecake until we finished our sandwiches so that it would be fresh. Enjoy.

We found everything we were looking for except they didn't have fresh cherries. That was disappointing. Maybe next time. This store is clean and shiny and I saw an employee working at straightening some shelves after customers had messed them up. I like that the TJ stores are organized similarly so that I can find things faster. The employees are very welcoming here with sincere smiles. The ambiance is friendly with good service. A special thank you to Pert at the cashier stand for her very nice and helpful manner. I loved her smile and great attitude. She was very helpful with our 2 full carts of groceries and asked Eden to help us up to the garage and lift the many bags into our trunk. She was very helpful. Kudos to Pert and Eden, who make a great team at TJ's! For your convenience, TJ's is attached to a parking garage and it is free for an hour and a half. An elevator takes you down stairs to TJ's to their entrance lobby where the carts are. You take the same elevator back up to your vehicle. They make it easy for all of us.

A wonderful wine shop that has cultivated a great community of wine lovers and wine discoverers!…read moreThe owner Monica is one of the most knowledgeable and welcome sommeliers. She will unpretentiously ask about your tastes and interests in wine and suggest unique, new varietals that you didn't know existed or you liked. You can get glasses starting at $12 and bottles to open and share with friends for all the different price points. There are tastings ($10) starting at 6pm on Fridays, which kicks off a fun night of community hangouts. There are always new events happening at the wine shop, so you're bound to have something new to enjoy each time you go. I've seen an art show there, and my friends have seen an open mic night and karaoke. Monica has opened the shop to fundraising events as well. There have been some epic bingo nights held there! Plenty of snacks like foreign made chips, cookies, charcuterie, cheese are available for purchase and consuming there, making the wine shop a comfortable hangout spot whether you're stopping on your way somewhere else or making it the destination for the night. Picking up a curated bottle to take to a friend is easy too. Just don't go by on a Sunday like a friend of mine did since Monica will probably not be open lol. But go on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, and find a great new wine! Tell her Mio sent you.

The advertisement? Chef's kiss. Bolognese, truffle pasta, tiramisu .. I was drooling every time it crossed my feed. This was my moment. Unfortunately, the reality didn't quite match the vision they'd been selling. To be fair, I understand that the pasta selections rotate weekly and that's part of the omakase concept, and I respect it. But what landed on our table felt worlds away from what was being advertised. Not a single pasta with a protein in sight. We're talking cheese, pesto, and a cheese filled ravioli. Where was the Bolognese? The truffle situation? The dessert pivot from tiramisu to panna cotta felt like the cherry on top of a "close, but no cigar" moment. And then there was the wine. $22 for a glass that arrived looking like it had been poured by someone who was deeply committed to conserving every last drop. For that price, the pour should at least feel generous or at minimum, not make you do a double take at the glass. It was a small but stinging detail that added to the overall sense that the value just wasn't there. None of it was bad ...the food was fine. But when the advertising sets such a specific and delicious expectation, "fine" hits differently. If the menu changes weekly, maybe the marketing should too because walking in with truffle pasta on the brain and leaving with a panna cotta and a sad little pour is a little hard to shake. I haven't given up on Otto & Pepe ... I still want to experience the regular menu. But the omakase, at least on this visit, didn't deliver on its own hype.
