Last week we took our first Caribbean Cruise ever with Star Princess out of Fort Lauderdale and we booked a place to stay for the night instead of flying red-eyes from the night before to be here in the morning for the ship. Near the Grand hotel, we found this place from a walking distance and we were happy. This is actually a fast food chain in Florida. We came after 8PM, the parking lot was empty but there are a few people from around walk in for late dinner like us. The restaurant is quite clean and nice, we're amazed with so many choices and most of them we like. The prices are so inexpensive compare to the Blue CA. This should be our home in the future. My wife wants the special Friday chicken cheese steak and I chose the fish and chips combo. The fries are excellent, the cheese chicken sandwich is very hot and tasty. My fish and chips would make H-Salt runs for their money. Ok, it doesn't have malt vinegar but the tartar and ketchup are sufficient because the fishes are crispy and tasty. Love the coleslaw. The people behind the counter are extremely nice and pleasant. Deserve a tip although it's a self serving restaurant. It's so good the next morning before getting the Lyft to the port, we dropped by to have breakfast, just like Denny's, a hearty breakfast for $10 with juices, amazing pancakes, the little hashbrown tots so good and crispy. Great breakfast before a nice trip. We didn't know this is a chain restaurants because we would look it up again in Las Olas beach. Anyhow, we will remember this chain when we come to Florida with the whole family. read more

Large portions but not great quality for the price. Not well kept in terms of location

Armando Christian Pérez aka Mr. 305 invested heavily in this company because he believes in its future and mostly believes in its past and the kindness that comes from people. I've once mentioned before my mother knew him as a young man trying to get his music heard and mostly survived at Miami grill my mother was no body special but the all knew him . This morning the young lady working the window when I asked did she have fresh squeezed lemonade she honestly replied I've not made it yet. As I thanked her and drove off she mentioned there's a little from yesterday. I stopped by the window and could see what I did not clearly hear . She said it's old I'll let you taste it she gave me a couple oz sample. I said it's not going to kill me but I respect your comment to service. She offered me a medium cup and enjoy your day. It was something I needed it's a memory that I stopped by now twice with Lemonaid and memory of my mom's, DJ. Dj Laz in so many others. I loved the Diner look back in the days. It was very different. It had like cars for tables and I'm telling you it was very amusing while eating. You can actually have fun taking pictures throughout the restaurant. Yes I would go back to visit the restaurant again however they're not so polite in there. They were quick with the food and it was very fresh. The store was very clean inside and outside even in the drive through. The area is pretty nice but it's a lot of traffic to get in and out of the restaurant. We are still using our souvenir cups which they offer at a really good price. read more

I notice alot of times that Miami grill doesn't get as much love as other fast food joints. With the variety they offer I think they should. I've been a fan since back when it was just Miami Subs and grill. They were always there for those late night munchie runs. Their menu options are everlasting and can satisfy any craving. From Angus burgers, hot dogs (Nathan's),philly steaks, subs (both hot and cold), chicken wings, gyros,seafood, salads, icecream, etc. I mean it just goes on and on. Now they even serve breakfast! Stop!!! The employees at this fine establishment were cool, quick, and kept the space clean. Even the music on the radio was a good time while munching out. With items cooked on a grill the guilt trip is less than hitting up fried or microwave joints. This is place is by far the SLOWEST and most incompetent drive through I've ever been to. There was one person in line and I waited over 30 minutes for a basic sandwich. Definitely not worth it for the price point either. Two half sized basic subs came out to $17. Like many others, I've been eating steak sandwiches from here since Gus founded the place. The food is usually pretty consistent from store to store. Today, mine was really good. Hot and fresh. As for the many reports of slow service, I would say to people, think about the times that we live in today. People don't want to work, since the government is paying them to stay home. The food service business is difficult enough without having to be short on employees. For a fast food order from the counter place, I was really impressed with this Miami Subs Grill. The counter wait staff turned out to be top flight, friendly and personable. The entire place was clean, bright, well organized, has a great location on the corner of Commercial and Powerline, pleasant seating, good views of the intersection and with plenty adequately spaced parking. They also have a few thoughtful amenities such as a push spout hand sanitizer infrequently found in other fast food restaurants. Another plus is in their food offerings. Not only do they have various salads, subs, wraps, cheese steaks, a variety of burger choices but they are also the home of a Nathan's Hot Dog and an Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips franchise. So, for a fast food counter operation Miami Subs Grill just about covers the gambit of tastes for everyone. read more

Miami subs is open 24 hours and in this area there are not many choices. I was in the mood for chicken wings around midnight on my way backpack to the hotel so I stopped in. they had the typical bread and chicken wings, grilled chicken wings, and naked chicken wings. How to decide? I know! Buy all three! The breadded ones were heavily breaded and not so great. My second favorite would be the grilled but the naked wings were my favorite. They were served with celery, blue cheese, hot sauce, and fries. About $10 for 10 wings including fries and celery. 3 star taste and 3 star service but after 11 p.m., there is nothing else available in this area. read more

I ordered a number three called the gyro pita, I think they misheard me for a rock salad smh. The gyro pieces are as crunchy as kale, the fries where as soggy as seaweed, and my coke was watered down. I'm disappointed at my local Miami grill. Where are the employees? I spent 15 minutes in line and an additional 10 minutes trying order because the woman would answer the speaker, mumble 3 words and tell me to hang on again and again. I spent another 20-25 minutes at the first window waiting for my food and the first thing I see them do is toss a bunch of bags of food on the counter, after letting these bags sit there for 20-25 minutes a woman finally comes to the window, hands me two of those bags and then walks away for another 10 minutes before people behind my vehicle started walking up to the window (Uber Eats) and start grabbing their bags. I still have yet to receive my milkshake and have now been gone and out of the house a collective hour, for 2 cookies, 2 small fries, cheesecake and a milkshake. I was wondering whatever happened to Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips (used to go to the one on 71st & Collins on Miami Beach in the '70's) & upon my hankering for a good gyro of all things, low & behold I encounter the long lost Arthur Treacher's!! Whoa, am I in some kinda time warp here? Really have not been to Miami Subs in over a decade, but since I can never seem to find a decent gyro, even at Greek restaurants I figure let me give them a try. Gyro is great here, they seem to always make these right. Now if I can remember my history correctly the original founder of Miami Subs was Greek, Konstantinos "Gus" Boulis , & tragically was killed. The gyros are still good here. Fast forward to today, and Nathan's Hot Dogs owns the chain, & I have to say, that I am a fan of all of the brands under the Miami Subs umbrella, LOVE fish & chips, gyros, and Nathans Coney Dogs & Coney Fries. Location, Location, Location! Most convenient location ever! I stopped by the Powerline & Commercial corner Miami Subs, and enjoyed the food, even with the lovely view of the parking lot, and traffic wizzing by at the intersection. This location is 24HRS. If you want Arthur Treacher's I recommend the shrimp boat or the fried clams they came with Nathans Coney fries, great! I believe these are the best fries you can get, even better than Chik-Fil-A waffle fries. The gyro as I said was perfection, the meat is perfect, can't find a gyro anywhere else like this. They are opening Miami Subs in Turkey & Romania, so that has to say something about the gyros here. I know that quality can vary depending on who's managing the store, but this one was very good. Staff got order right, everything hot & fresh, & I observed them cleaning tables, bathrooms were clean enough, plenty of paper towels, anti bacterial soap, good. They have big screen TV's on all the walls with all sports so you can watch a game while you eat, great! Price is right too, $5 gyro, WOW! read more

I asked them to remake it with no tomatoes. I get the same wrap back after 10 minutes and noticed the staff picked out the tomatoes and gave it back. I asked for a refund and of course received attitude. I was there for 45 minutes and only received attitude from the staff. The staff was also very rude to other customers. If they would spend less time talking about their customers and actually focus on what's in front of them, place could be decent. I did a Facebook post some time ago about this same lady being so rude and with a nasty attitude and we come back after all this time and she is still working there. Why? How? Where is the franchise owner? Where is the upper management? Does anyone really care? You wonder why their parking lot is always so empty most of the time when they are located at a very busy intersection in Broward county and it's probably because she makes customers feel so unwelcome.
