I finally made it to Moxie's! I've been wanting to try this place forever, and finally did for a friend's birthday for drinks and appetizers. She underestimated how many people would show up, and they were super accommodating, even on a busy Sunday night. In fact, our service the entire time was amazing. Our server was super nice and patient and made great recommendations. There were so many drinks that looked good! I ended up deciding on the lychee martini. The presentation was beautiful and the drink was delicious! We got the steak bites, which I can't say enough good things about. They were cooked and seasoned absolutely perfectly. We also got calamari, which was crispy, flavorful, and not fishy. The menu looked absolutely incredible and there are so many things I want to try. The restaurant was busy and lively, with a fun atmosphere where people were dressed up even though sports were playing on TVs throughout the space. It's the perfect mix of upscale and casual. My friends and I shared a bottle of red wine and ordered the tuna sushi stack, steak salad, Italian sausage pappardelle, and the famous Mile High Mocha Pie for dessert. The dessert was the only item that didn't quite live up to the hype for me, but everything else was an easy 10/10. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Last night we met some friends for happy hour at Moxie's and we sat outside on the patio, which is right on the street. It was a lovely spot; the service was excellent and the happy hour selection was small but adequate. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and then the Asian chicken bites along with the potstickers. The chicken was delicately fried and very tasty. The potstickers, too, were in a delicious sauce and we enjoyed it all. Our friends had the fresh salad with broiled salmon on top, and they, too, enjoyed that as well. I would come back here. The bar is busy every time I've been to this location, and I've never been during happy hour or a weekend so I can only imagine it's probably tougher to get a seat. I tried the Swedish salmon and it was very good. Knocked it out before I could take a pic but the salmon was cooked as ordered and I think it has asparagus and beets. Absolutely love this place, and since it had been a while since my last visit, I wanted to see if it was still living up to the hype and it truly did. We had a small hiccup with the two ladies at the front receptionist desk, but Art, the restaurant manager took impeccable care of us. He checked in to make sure everything was okay and handled the situation right away. Even our server was very nice. We visited on a Tuesday, and it was quite busy for a weekday. We ordered the loaded nachos with blackened chicken, along with the chicken, quinoa, and a chicken salad and let's just say, you'll never go hungry. The portions are huge, the presentation is always on point, and the taste was just as good as I remembered. It's safe to say it's still living up to the hype. I'll definitely be going again. I have been to the Moxie's in Brickell many times, but this was my first time in Las Olas. I like how spacious it is, and i love how the outdoor section has a beautiful bar and so many tvs-- perfect to watch a game! Our waitress was nice and attentive. I had the steak sandwich. The meat was tender and the bread was soft. I liked how it had pickled onions, feta, and goat cheese. And the horseradish aioli was the perfect touch. We found a ten dollar coupon so we thought we'd give it a try . Moxies is located in trendy Las Olas with lots of youthful diners. I ordered a beyond burger that came with a side . I requested no cheese but the salad came with it and was sent back and replaced. The burger was charred and replaced. The ice water came without ice but that was fixed. The bartender had to get some assistance from another bartender to make our expresso martini. But what really turned me off was the invasion of flies. Three of us had a 5 star experience at Moxies on a busy Friday night. We sat inside and upstairs near the bar at a high top. Val was our server and she was as attentive as she was beautiful! We told her so. In fact, it appears that you need to have model looks to get hired here. Everybody looked incredible. The service was great. Even a supervisor, Dominic, stopped by to ask if our food was satisfactory. It was! We started with the calamari. Lightly crispy with grilled peppers, it was a favorite. To drink, I had the passion fruit ranch water, which was a great choice- thanks to the server's recommendation. For appetizer, we had the crab cake, which was really good and refreshing with the arugula and grapefruit and the steak bites, which were a lot and cooked perfectly. They have TVs around that can play the different games (without the volume of the game). It does get busy so I recommend making a reservation. My daughter and I made reservations for brunch on Saturday at 1:00 PM and were looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately, after being seated, we waited over 20 minutes without a server coming to our table. A staff member eventually approached us and said a server would be with us in two minutes, but after waiting even longer with no service, we decided to leave. What made the experience even more disappointing was seeing several servers standing around talking while guests were waiting to be attended to.
